Peerless sent a technician to measure and quote for the installation of a range hood. The tech was incompetent. He didn't account for the height of the ceiling to the flue. In fact, he told me I needed to have a flue installed. I showed him that it appeared there already is a flue (on the roof), but he had gone into my attic and assured me that the flue wasn't for the range hood. I paid for a roofer to cut my roof and install the flue. The roofer came and took videos showing me a flue already existed over my range and just needed to be reopened. They promised me a refund and didn't send it. They screen your calls and stopped returning my calls. I would NEVER USE THEN. read more

Peerless group was recommended to us by Pacific Sales. We had used them 3 times before so the decision to use this company again was easy. Just like before we were not disappointed. I called first for an pre installation appointment. Andy called in the morning letting us know when he would arrive and he was prompt almost to the minute. Ho quoted us to install a new cooktop,dishwasher,built in oven and microwave with trim kit and new kitchen faucet Let us know that the granite would have to be trimmed and one cabinet would have to also be trimmed. We were given a detailed quote After the appliance were delivered I scheduled an appointment for installation. Andy once again called in the morning to let us know when he and his team would be arriving. Punctual again. They arrived brought in blankets and a plastic skid to protect my flooring and removed all of the old appliances and then started covering everything near to start the granite sawing and cabinet alteration. Then the appliance installation began. Everything was leveled to perfection! I'm a baker and a level oven is really important,but they used the same care to level each appliance. Must also say the cuts Andy made were laser straight. Only one hiccup. The trim kit for the microwave was not the correct one. So on this day he couldn't install the microwave. Andy said call pacific sales and when the correction is made and I will come back to install it No extra charge. Luckily after calling pacific sales it was remedied the next day. I too was worried about those 1-star reviews, especially as I needed an old gas cooktop replaced with a new one, not as simple as swapping refrigerators. The old one was slightly smaller so I knew they would need to cut tile and maybe even some cabinetry to make the new one fit. But Mitch and his helper were real pros. They quickly took out the surrounding drawers and removed the old cooktop, then pointed out for my approval where they would need to cut [this cost extra but I was expecting it]. I said OK and in less than an hour, new cooktop, plus new flexible gas line and fittings, was in. Mitch showed me how to use it, and watched as I operated each burner. An extra plus for Peerless - they scheduled the installation the next day [they have 8 teams] for between 9-12, and Mitch was there at 9:15. read more

Purchased a Monogram built-in refrigerator at Renwes to replace the previous Monogram built-in that lasted over 18 years. Peerless Group was set-up to deliver the new refrig the following day. We purchased a stainless steel Samsung over the range microwave and a stainless steel Samsung oven range from Best Buy/Pacific Sales in Hawthorne over Black Friday weekend, and the representative there recommended that we go with Peerless to have them installed. Since I had already tried to talk with the actual installation company affiliated with Best Buy and had been frustrated, I went with his recommendation. Making an appointment was easy, and I was given a three hour window. Since I didn't want to wait around during this time, I asked for a 30 minute "heads-up" call prior to Peerless's arrival. About 30 minutes into my three hour window, David from Peerless called me but my cell didn't ring so I ended up making them wait about 15 minutes for me. He said it was no problem. I arrived and he and his partner had both appliances ready to go right outside. They went to work quickly, making sure to lay down protection to remove both of the existing appliances before installing the new ones. I was impressed how efficiently they worked. David explained that the lowest height level of the oven range would not make the range flush with the surrounding granite countertop but that he could apply a bead of caulking alongside to prevent errant crumbs and other food from traveling into the crack. He did an excellent job in applying the caulking so that you could barely tell it is there. His partner wiped down the appliances to make them sparkle. David asked me about our existing dishwasher, and I explained that it was only five years old. He checked the pipe between the dishwasher and the garbage disposal and showed me that food which had not been ground up thoroughly in the garbage disposal could clog the exit pipe from the dishwasher. He cleaned it out, replaced it, and ran the dishwasher to make sure that the pipe from it was draining properly. My father had always told me to thoroughly run the garbage disposal and run water for a while through it after stopping it, but I never knew why. Now I know! I can't recommend Peerless enough based upon David and his partner's service. read more

This company is the WORST. They came to install the dishwasher, and seemed to have trouble understanding the pipes under my sink. I live in a 5-year-old condo building, so there's nothing unusual about the pipes. Nobody in our building has had any trouble with dishwasher installation. Then they said I needed a new valve and wanted to charge me an additional $55 in labor to screw it on. I'm happy to pay for the $20 part, and for the fee to install the dishwasher, but they also charged me an additional $55 because I live in a building, even though the access -- full elevator access with no stairs anywhere, plus a handicap ramp -- is easier than in most homes. I called the company and the "manager" said that she couldn't do anything but would ask the guys if they'd take off the additional $55 labor for the 30 seconds it would take to screw on the valve, since I'm already paying over $100 in labor plus the $55 "high-rise" fee (4-story building with elevator access) plus $20 for the valve, so she called them, right in front of me, and they said no, were very rude, and said they were taking the dishwasher back to the store, which they did. This, after I'd left work and waited 3 hours for them to show up. So much for customer service. I called these guys because they were the only ones on the Pacific Sales list who could come the next day. No wonder -- the other companies have a wait because they must be booked with happy customers. I called another company and it was a completely different (good!) experience. PG called me to schedule an installation Thursday 12/10/2015 asking, if Friday between 9:00 am & 10:00 am was acceptable. The installer called me as promised by 7:30 am made the appointment 9:00 am today 12/11/2015. He and his journeyman went above and beyond the service and did an excellent job installing the cook top. Terrible customer service. We paid these folks to install the cook top, vent hood, ovens, dishwasher, and refrigerator. They left a LEAK in the gas line to the cook top. After repeatedly asking them to come back and fix it, they kept denying there was a leak and refused to repair anything. They were rude and argumentative when we pointed it out. They cut experimental holes throughout our custom cabinetry because they didn't know where the electrical was and made a mess of the ducting. The worst offense was the LEAK in the dishwasher drain after they installed it. It left water damage throughout my brand new custom cabinets. I will never use Peerless again and I highly recommend you thoroughly check their work after they are done if you are brave enough to retain their services. read more

I had this guy install a $3,200 THermador hood in my kitchen , this past April , pacific sales said he is one of the best , since when you buy a hood its a separate installation ,well I went for it , all was ready for him to install , I have noticed ever since he did , every time I grill a steak or any meats he fire alarm goes off , I called he came buy turned on the hood and he put a napkin and said , well it's working sorry I can't do nothing , ok fine , four months went by same problem , I called this time the manufacture , they sent a guy , this guy game me a report saying its bad installation , and matter of fact it's hooked wrong to the venting system , and he can't touch it , to call the installer again and complain , I did , I had an appointment today in which I Called yesterday to ask about my 3 hour window they never game me , heh said he will call in the morning to give u , I waited till 930 , they put me on hold saying , he called you more than once and left u a vm , I didn't get a call it's lie , and no Vm , I'm trying to explain their to he girl , she kept saying he said he called , wanted to give me another appointment for Saturday , I didn't want to take it , it is still early in the morning and he can still come , they won't send him saying it too late , his guy is a flake , he is not good at Wat he does , just talk , the company that came " premium group " told me this is a fire hazard , I will take his guy to small claims , he is putting my life and my kids life in danger , he doesn't care he took his $500 for installing , NEVER USE HIM , HE WONT come to fix anything . I wish I never used him . For them it's easy to give u another day and wait not acknowledging life is happening and we have shit to do besides wait 3 and not show and LIE about calling . I had purchased a double wall oven from Best Buy/Pacific Sales and they had used them as the installation service. I must say that I was impressed with Peerless. They are very hard working individuals and were very efficient and professional with their work. I have multi-step travertine floors throughout my house and was worried about scratches, but they handled this with no problem. They were also very clean and thorough with their work. I had David who also had high reviews. Their service is 5 stars. The only dings I saw on yelp are with unhappy customers about initial communication, not the actual work themselves. We recently moved from Los Angeles to Orange County and decided to update all of our appliances. We purchased these at Pacific Sales, and engaged the Peerless Group for their installation. We are more than pleased with their performance. Our initial experience with Peerliess was for the installation of a new washer and dryer in our laundry room. The depth of the area where the dryer is installed is far less than we expected ... only 29 inches deep. We purchased the only gas dryer that would fit into this area, and even then we expected a ver;y tight fit. Peerliess installed the unit, making several custom changes to assure its proper installation. In some places, we have only about one inch of clearance, and all we can say is that Peerless worked miracles. We then decided to upgrade all of the appliiances in our kitchen: a new gas stove top, hood, dishwasher, oven, and microwave. The stove, hood, and dishwahser were installed in far less time than we expected. However, the oven and microwave came as two distinct units, and were replacing a single unit. We had to have an additional circuitt installed, and this required one day. Peerless returned the following day and installed the oven and microwave expediently. I would say that the hallmarks of the Peerless Group ... beyond their skill and efficiency ... also insclude their service and their extreme courtesy. I felt that I had welcomed friends into my home. I unhesitatingly recommend the Peerless Group, and will be happy to re-employ them if the occasion arises. read more

We have Pacific Sale ( in Mission Viejo) telling us that is who they used and are the best. We purchased $18,000 worth of Thermador appliances and expecting a better installed company. PS checked box they will paid for all modification necessary to get it done right, these lady keep telling me what is the model number and if is set up for them to installed. I had an excellent experience with Peerless installing a 24inch Whirlpool double wall oven built in. After reading reviews I would say be prepared for your inataller and things will go smoothly. First my old oven was gas. We switched to electric. I called my Electrician first on the advice of Pacific Sales in Torrance. Gave the voltage and amps to a good electrician. He removed gas line and installed a flex cable for the ovens. I read the manual so I would know what he needed. He left it out of the wall so Peerless would have an easier time installing. He also suggested to get some plywood because the oven was 49 inches tall and opening was 51 in cabinet. Peerless installer called me the morning of my appointment. He asked a lot of questions which helped to prepare. I told him about the height and that I had plywood. Also the width was only 22" and we needed an extra 5/8 cut for ovens to fit. He came on time with an assistant, installed the ovens into the flex cable, put in plywood to raise the oven, cut the 5/8 off the side, bolted the oven down into cabinet. It looks great. The price was very good. I might have paid a bit more considering the workload. read more

Watch out! They were to install our appliances and basically left us with a non functional over-range microwave. They said they couldnt do the ducting although we specifically asked before making the arrangement. They also scratched our floor. For $300 they moved the fridge and plugged it in, screwed the micro to the cabinet and left. Told us tough luck when we called to get the problems fixed. read more

Do NOT use their services,if you need to install Wolf or Sub-Zero applicances, because they are not authorized agent. But, they will not tell you if you don't specifically ask. I was deceived by the receptionist and the installation techinician, who pretended they were sub-zero authorized. Sub-zeor offers free 1 year extended warranty if authorized agent is used for installation. I called the office and asked about the Sub-zero extended warranty, and the receptionist told me that the techinician would bring the paper work to us on the date of installtion. On the installation date, the techinician didn't bring any paper to us, instead asking us to get the paper work from Pacific Sales for him to sign, so that I would receive the extended warranty. I called Sub-Zero and found out they are not the authorized agent. Therefore, I won't receive 1 year extended warranty, as result. However, the main issue here is the business ethics. If you are not Sub-zero/Wolf authorized agent, please don't pretend to be one. Even you may be very well-qualified to install a Sub-zero refrigerator, it is just not right to mislead your customers. The choices should be mine to decide whether to use your service after knowing the facts. As result, my brand new Sub-zero refrigerator didn't make any ice for three days. After consulting with the Sub-zero services, we found out the techinican forgot to turn on the water source to the ice maker. Wouldn't this be the very reason, you need to have a REAL Sub-Zero installer instead of a Pretend-to-be. Be careful and don't fall into the same trap I did. read more

Just a Update on my "troubled" dishwasher install - review. After the botched install (read original review) my son called Peerless and Pacific Sales to question: 1. The hidden charge: we were hit up for a $55 charge for a new valve. I was told that the existing valve would not fit the new hose. I don't mind paying for a new valve if needed, but $55 was excessive. What do you do in the middle of an install? Pay or Not? 2. And he wanted someone back out here to install the dishwasher correctly. Someone from Peerless did come back - I though to fix the install, but when he came in and saw the dishwasher he said, That's the way it has to be installed. Nothing I said made a difference. I said the applicance was not level. I can see the legs of the diswasher and the shims under the legs and the concrete flooring under the toe kick. Then my son came into the kitchen and (Mr. Neanderthal) said to me -- Let me talk to your son. At the end of the visit my son was able to at least get this guy to level the appliance, and lower the toe kick. What an expereince dealing with the company. NEVER AGAIN! read more

Contracted with Peerless to pick-up built in refrigerator from Pacific sales and deliver and install on a Saturday. Johnny (driver) and his helper, showed up on time and prepared. Due to shifting of our house over 22 years, the refer would not fit. Crew was at my house for 3 hrs removing old frig and trying to install. We had to have a handyman come in on Tues to plane down one side of the opening. But first Johnny had to come by early Tues to remove the frig so the workman could plane, then he came back at the end of the day and completed the install. Crew was professional, took measures so that the tile and carpet were protected. Cleaned up after both visits. I highly recommend Johnny and Peerless Group. read more

Terrible business practices....one man came out to install my $700 cook top; yanked out the old one, dropped in the new unit and left. After they left, I looked in the shelve below the cook to; to find filth from the old cook top all over my pans on first and second shelve. they also threw a piece of a board on the floor. I've had Sears install 2 appliances for me with no dirt left behind; a new furnace was installed and a new water heater was also installed in 2012 by other installer companies no problem with dirt left behind, I will never let Peerless employees install anything in my house. read more
