I called to request a service call because my washing machine was leaking. After describing the problem, the owner said he could come out but that it really sounded like a clogged drain. He spent time explaining it to me and was very helpful. He was right! We had a plumber come out and unclog the drain. No more leaks! I will call Appliance Care next time we have an appliance that needs servicing. I appreciate the honesty! read more

I would highly recommend Appliance Care for fixing your appliances. Rob and Dane came out and fixed my dryer when a metal piece from the drawstring on a pair of sweatpants got caught in a groove. For minimal cost they removed the drawstring, cleaned the dryer, made sure everything was working correctly, and did it all in about 20 minutes for a reasonable price. Rob and Dane came out today and fixed our dryer. For minimal cost they replaced worn parts, cleaned it, and did it all in less than an hour. Saved me a lot of money compared to buying a new dryer. These guys are simply the best!! read more

These guys are certainly "pay it forward" types of people. A subcontractor on a remodel we are doing screwed up some things which caused some problems with our refrigerator/freezer. I called these guys to see if they could come over to fix it. About two minutes into the conversation, they knew what the problem was, told me what to do to fix it on my own and told me to have a great day. They said it was an easy fix so no need to pay them for something I could do easily on my own. They got 0 financial gain out of helping me but I sure hope they get tons of good karma going forward and at minimum they'll be my first call for any appliance work going forward. read more

Cannot say enough good things about Rob and Dane and their knowledge of appliances. My fridge stopped blowing any air and the freezer was working about half way. Called Appliance Repair and they were over in 15 minutes. The two them then proceeded to immediately diagnose the problem and told me in detail what they were going to do and what I could do going forward to avoid this from happening again in the future. Within the hour they had completely repaired the fridge and freezer and cleaned up so thoroughly that it was like they were never there. But they were, because my fridge is actually cold again! When it came time to pay I was even more smiles because they were beyond fair and didn't try to make me pay for something I didn't need. These two guys provide the utmost honest, competent, and valuable service I have come across in a long time. Honestly your loss if you're never blessed enough to have one of your appliances break and to get the opportunity to meet Rob and Dane. read more

Friendly, great service! We have used them multiple times and have always been satisfied

Best appliance repair experience we have ever had. This father and son team are great. They immediately responded to our request for service, showed up on time and communicated effectively throughout the process. Their expertise was evident as they quickly identified the problem with our refrigerator and thoroughly explained the actions they were taking to resolve it. It did require ordering a difficult part to acquire but they created a work around for our refrigerator to function until the part arrived after the weekend. They continued to communicate with us on the status of the part and once received immediately returned and completed the job. The cost of the repair was very reasonable and fair. We are totally happy with the work and highly recommend their service. read more

BIG THANKS to Rob and Dane, for saving our Speed Queen dryer, which is only 8 years young! One day I was doing laundry and the dryer just quit. It went totally dead. My husband - who is very handy - tried his best to get it to work again. Speed Queens are the hardest working machines on the planet, so I was hopeful the dryer could be fixed. But it was tough! Finally, due to 5 star reviews, Rob and Dane of Appliance Care of San Clemente were summoned, and they came in less than 24 hours to the rescue. After a fairly intense examination and assessment, they determined we were in need of a starter switchboard, a part they didn't have on the truck; they had to order it. Sure enough, they were back the next day to install. But the dryer was still a dead carcass! They disassembled the assembly! They worked in tight spaces! They worked on it and worked on it; but the dryer would not be resuscitated. Rob and Dane tried every trick in the book - finally they took the whole machine apart in a desperate attempt to find the problem. Even my hubby got out there to try and help. IT GOT SO INTENSE! I didn't want to buy a new dryer! No one wants to do that! Speed Queen dryers are the workhorses that are in all the laundry mats!) THEY NEVER BREAK! That is why we bought this machine! Finally, Dane found a tiny bit of wire that was completely burned out - just passed the door switch! EUREKA!!! They repaired that tiny piece, and the dryer came back to life! Then they put all the pieces back together again! Reasonable prices to boot! What I'm trying to say is Rob and Dane are hard working, honest men who really throw all their expertise at your problems, and they stick with it until a solution is found! You've GOT TO CALL THEM NOW if you are experiencing a dead washer, dryer, refrigerator, dishwasher or oven! No one wants to buy a new appliance because the supply-chain problem is still backed-up, and who wants to go to the laundry mat when the new dryer won't be at your house for weeks on end? NOT ME!!! CALL ROB! CALL DANE! (But don't call my husband!) Thank you!!!!! read more

Our Whirlpool washing machine stopped draining the Sunday evening. When I went online to book device through Whirlpool's website, it was giving me appointment options 1 week out. I reached out to Appliance Care & they picked up right away & came out to the house an hour later. These guys are great! Explained to me what they were doing, gave me honest recommendations (when others could've taken advantage of the situation) & didn't sell me on anything. They even serviced the dryer for me & showed how lint build up had even caused a small lint fire. Embarrassing for me but am glad they caught it. I'm really happy I reached out to them, learned a lot & highly recommend them to other home owners in South Orange County. read more

I reached out when my fridge stopped working - fully expecting a visit for repair. Within hours of emailing I received a response from Dane suggesting I completely defrost my fridge to see if that would fix the issue. IT WORKED! Dane never made a trip to my home, never charged me a cent, he shared his knowledge. I'm so appreciative. Should my fridge actually need a repair in the future, I'm absolutely calling Dane! Thanks a bunch! read more

Dane and Father are a great team. I used them a few years ago when I was living in Capo Beach, they were super honest and fixed my dryer with no issues. I had to call them back last week for a failing refrigerator. They suspected it was a broken relay, though it was also possibly the compressor. They installed the relay, but no luck, seems like the compressor was completely shot. It wasn't worth replacing the compressor. They came back the next day to remove the new part and didn't even want to charge me their regular fee for just coming out. I felt like I had to do something, so sent him some cash to have lunch out on us. They are my go to team for all appliance repairs, count on them for honesty, efficiency, and just being all around great people. read more

Prompt, professional, informative, efficient! This father, son team are the only two we call for appliance issues. We've worked with them a few times, the last time for our washer that was erroring out. They did some tests and quoted us what it would be to fix it, but recommended that at this point we were better off getting a new washer rather than paying for a repair. They then gave us washer recommendations based on our need. Thanks Dane and Rob for all your help! read more

As everyone has said, this father-son duo is great! They are kind, honest and so knowledgeable. We called them to fix our 20+ year old washing machine. On the phone, they suggested a couple of easy fixes in case it would save us the expense of a visit. When those didn't work, they came the next day and were total experts disassembling and reassembling the machine despite its age. Ultimately they recommended we just replace it with something new because it would be almost as expensive for them to fix it. So honest! read more

Very impressed with their honesty. (Helped me decide if repair was worth it). Will definitely use them in the future read more

I'm surprised there aren't any other reviews on here for Rob! I called 3 companies yesterday when I discovered that my washing machine wasn't spinning. Two others had a minimum charge that I'd have to pay ($68 for one and $89 for the other), even if it was a small fix or if it was going to be such an expensive fix that I'd want to just buy a new machine. I tried Appliance Care and asked if they could give me a possible phone estimate and they did! They asked what model it was and what was the problem and then they said it sounds like the "motor coupler" (not sure of spelling) and that it would be a $100 fix. (The $89 company told me washing machine spin issues usually run between $150 and $250.) Rob showed up with his son who is learning the trade, and they were kind and professional. I am adding this company to my address book, and I will recommend them to everyone I know in the area. read more

Fantastic, Professional, and Affordable! Highly recommend. I called early Monday morning before they were even open and they answered. This was my second time using Appliance Care for a fix. This time, my dryer broke and Appliance Care came out the very next day. They were on time, professional, knowledgeable and extremely kind. They were able to diagnose, fix and improve the connection of my dryer within 30 minutes. They had the parts they needed on their truck and the entire process was super easy. The repair cost was fair and 100% worth it! New dryers are expensive so getting more life out of my current unit was a huge relief. I highly recommend this great local San Clemente business. Thanks Appliance Care!! ;) read more

Used Request A Quote on Yelp to reach out to Appliance Care. They were super responsive and able to come out very quickly. We are a family of four so can't afford to have our washer out for too long. Dane came and fixed our month-old washing machine. It needed a new part that broke due to user error (lesson learned). Dane was fast, communicative, up front about cost and very reasonable. We would not hesitate to use them again should we need to. Highly recommend. read more

Awesome duo. Had fridge issues that I started troubleshooting but was a bit beyond my skill level. I messaged a bunch of companies with details on what I've done and questions on the situation. Dane and Rob were the ONLY ones to actually respond with comments, further questions, suggestions, and a plan. Everybody else gave me a date a week out and a ridiculous price just to look at the fridge. I asked Dane and Rob to come out. They were super professional and friendly. They easily diagnosed the likely problem, resolved it, charged an extremely fair price, and told us to contact them if our issue came back--didn't have to as they were spot on regarding the fix. Best service I've had in a while. I've called them out for other work again and will continue doing so. read more

Do they ever know appliances! We had a broken dishwasher they just repaired super quick. I had lost the manual which they didn't need. And they responded super fast. Thought their prices were reasonable too. Really recommend them! read more
