Dear Owner Timothy Surprise, Assistant Adam Van Gorp and Customers of Mae Fence…read more In 2024, I hired Mae Fence to install a $14,000 fence along my back yard. During the sales pitch I was told that my fence would last over 20+ years. I am attaching pictures of my fence after only 2 years. The horrible supposed cedar wood they used is failing. The majority of slats are starting to show holes where each knot is. Posts are splitting and screws are coming out of the fence! This fence won't make it 2 more years. Of course the small print says they don't cover knots. Well of course. Mae knows the cedar wood is cheap and faulty. We were happy when it was first put in. Now we are furious at the company for poor quality and lack of response. Their response was basically a form letter email on how to repair all the knots that are holes now. UPDATE: They sent Randy out to say the slats and posts weren't that bad and would only replace the bare minimum. Again, I got nothing from Randy in writing on what they were going to replace. All we got was a false claim of repairing the problem. If I said 4 slats needed replaced, they said 2. When speaking with service, the assistant Adam was in the background causing an argument with me so he could back out of repairs. I was at their mercy to decide. Replace very few slats and no posts or nothing?? They actually hung up on me. They are not going to appease me by replacing 3 of the 20 slats that are bad and multiple posts that are splitting down the middle. Through working with Mae Fence I have realized that they use poor quality material, their workers are subpar installers and their owners and customer service are full of charlatans that are looking for the cheapest resolution to a very serious problem They will probably try to say it was my fault. They are that type of company. People need to stand up to these current companies and their shotty work. Companies who thinks they can hide behind phones and false promises. Look at your contract and warranty on knots and holes. I would never hire them again for this shady practice. I will have to update this review every month to keep it up top of Google and keep the customers aware of the progress. Hopefully, I can help another person avoid the headache that is Mae Fence. Their reviews cannot be real . They had me take down my original review with false promises of repair. Well I made it longer. Buyer and customer of Mae Fence beware!

How great was it when I found Fix-A-Fence to know that I was getting exactly what I needed--not just a "handyman" company but a company that knows how to do a wooden fence (or other types I'm sure) right! I called, sent a few photos, and had an estimate in hand the next day. The price was great so I agreed and was added to the schedule. Unfortunately for me we had many days of rain which pushed back my original date a bit but John was good about keeping me updated on a final date. Once we had a new date locked in he had a cancellation come up so I actually got booked sooner than planned (again, great for me!). The arrive on time (a little early even) and had the new gate hung, repairs completed on multiple sections, and a good once-over on the whole fence for some minor repair. Total time from setup to driving away was only a few hours and the work looks great! Also, I really appreciate the advice he gave me on a few "repairs" I had planned for them that he said could be taken care of in a less costly way (i.e. something I could easily do on my own since it was cosmetic work). Great to see someone willing to give me the best work at a very fair price. I highly recommend Fix-A-Fence and will gladly have them back for any future repairs (here's hoping another tree doesn't fall through my fence again!).

*I was not compensated for this review. I simply want to help a great company that did great things…read morefor me and my family. Stop searching, use Delco. My project: remodeling master bath. Reasons I chose Delco: - Owner's "can-do" attitude. Very positive. These are multi-week projects. It's important that I enjoy working with someone on a daily basis for that length of time. - Owner is consistently on-site. - Overall value was substantially higher than others. - Ability to use my own designer (Cary Gerschutz of DeLuca Designs...highly recommend). - Referred by trusted individual. Reasons I recommend Delco now that the project has been completed: - Communication: Owner proactively provides regular updates on project without it being overwhelming. - Proposed budget was in line with final cost. - Attention to detail: Example: Our designer marveled at the final product of the "pebble floor" in our shower. Each stone was placed by hand; it did not look "manufactured". - Any unknowns (you don't know what's behind the wall until you open it) were disclosed up front with worst-case scenarios clearly outlined, with an under-promise-over-deliver mindset. - Very respectful of our home: Stairs and walls were protected prior to starting. Items were carried carefully. Accidents can happen but we were fortunate that we experienced not one bit of collateral damage. - Respectful of our family: They used earbuds instead of a stereo. No yelling or unnecessary noise. Got to know our dog and were happy to close the door each and every time they made a trip from the outside of the house to the inside of the house. Even in communication: If I wanted to talk through some things, he wasn't rushing me. And likewise, if I was busy, he was respectful of that and kept things brief. - Cleaned up every single day. - Any snags were met with a positive attitude. No blaming of others; great accountability. - Vast majority of work done by Delco; very few subcontractors. - Project was completed within the "worst-case scenario" timeframe and, had it not been for subcontractor delays, it would have been done sooner than that. All of Delco's work was done in a timely manner. - Flexible with mid-project adjustments. Conclusion: A project like this is a big financial and time investment. I really enjoyed working with Delco. I've already referred friends to them. The end product was better than expected. Finally, my designer, after the project was completed, told me that, if I used a typical home remodeling company, I would have paid significantly more for a lesser product. Again, stop searching, use Delco. You'll be happy you did.

The kitchen area is perfect and the covering over half the pergola will be super helpful in the rain and snow with our dogs. I don't think a more professional job could even be possible. Mostly good, but several workmanship issues…read more Creekside Coverings recently completed our outdoor stair reconfiguration project, transforming our straight stairway into a more functional design with a landing and a 90-degree turn onto a paver patio. While the team finished on schedule, the final result revealed some craftsmanship challenges. The project's core functionality meets our expectations. However, in our opinion, certain details fall short of what we would consider more commonly-used construction practices. Key observations follow. 1. The deck planks on the landing are installed parallel to the support joists. This necessitated the addition of blocking between the joists. The blocking was added after the deck planks were secured to the landing frame. In addition, the decking appears to be fastened only to the landing's frame, without direct attachment to the joists or blocking. 2. The newly-constructed landing appears to have been designed without sufficient attention to detail, in our opinion. The shape of the landing necessitated the placement of an additional railing post adjacent to an existing post on the landing to properly secure the bottom section staircase railing. 3. The two new posts on the new landing are slightly different in size than the original posts, and their caps do not match the existing post caps. The contractor mentioned these items to us after they were already installed on the stairway, and he told us that they would not affect functionality. With attention to the observations above, this would easily be a five star project.
