I'm sure they do a lot of good work but I had a ridiculous interaction with a lady named Bonnie…read more I reached out to them to get help getting a recused stray cat adopted because I'm in no position to keep the cat and someone recommended that I contact them. Bonnie basically told me my situation doesn't matter and that I need to keep this cat because no one is going to adopt this cat(I thought help getting stray cats adopted was the whole point of their organization?). She kept repeating this so much and talking so much it was hard to get any of my words in or even to hang up. She told me even if I don't want to keep the cat, just lock the cat up in a room because cats don't need a lot of space. Uhhhhh is this really the best solution Pet Assistance can provide?

If I hadn't come in contact with Jai Rach I'd left five stars. Dr. Samir treated my cat and I…read moredecided to return to have my cats vaccines done here. The day I returned my boy was treated and the girl was not. She was aggressive and feisty so I was told and sent home with medicine to calm her down and return the next day. The next day I was only able to give her one dose and let the office know which is when I was told no problem being her in early and know she'd be there a couple hours they'd give it to her. So I did that and that's when I met this Jai Rach who was unprofessional and treated me like I walked in off the street with an untamed undomesticated cat. Nothing like Dr. Samir. Jai Rach couldn't give my cat her medicine so he suggested this box treatment putting her in a box to sedate her, a service costing me over $400 When I say he couldn't give her her medicine I mean he could not and would not touch her. He backed himself Into a corner and asked me to let her out the carrier and all she did was climb all over me purring. I asked to be shown how to do it because he was being a scaredy cat and perhaps I was doing something wrong that would make it easier for my cat and myself. Jai Rach nor the tech could do that. Jai Rach said "what if she bites me" Unbelievable to say the least I left with an untreated cat and got a refund. I'll be returning to Harbor Pines where all my pets have been cared for. I wouldn't go back here for fear Jai Rach would be on staff.

Shelby is super communicative and makes the process of rescuing as easy as could be. Matilda *previously Denim* is healthy, sweet and has done great in exploring her surroundings in just 2 days with us. She has adjusted well to our bulldog, cat and bird. I was going through a lot and have a child and all the vets were full. Shelby got me a vet appointment and I didn't have to pay for it. She also got our cats diarrhea meds. I was still freaking out and she offered to foster them for me until they were better. This is not how most rescues treat you after you adopt a pet. Shelby truly cares about the animals she adopts out and it was worth every penny. If you are adopting a pet definitely contact them and consider donating because they do good work. Our cats have the best temperaments as well.

We're so grateful to have such a caring and knowledgeable vet. Highly recommend!

They gave me a 6 week old kitten they claimed was healthy, even with an exit exam by a veterinarian, and when I got her home, she was visibly sick and had to be rushed to the emergency hospital. Now I'm typing this review after spending $5000 to save her life. I am beyond upset as I got this cat to help me with my mental health and now I am completely stressed out and disgusted with this shelter. UPDATE: The cat died. Thanks for lying to my face that the cat was healthy and ready to go home and be around other cats. What she had is contagious and now I'm worried about the wellbeing of my two other cats. Found workers a little rude and overbearing. I mentioned to my dad, that I've seen another veterinarian in the opposite shopping center where the supermarket is, which I'm sure service is better as one other person waiting in the waiting area said. Overall we were disappointed on service and quality of care for our dog. One other thing they agreed with not going to the meat market next door. Health dept closed them for a short time. I can't believe I am writing about another awful vet experience, but after speaking with other vets…read moreabout what transpired here, I feel like I have to. I was ripped off by extremely unprofessional vets and now I'm in collections for essentially dental work done on a clearly dying cat. My senior cat had bleeding of the mouth and wasn't eating as much in late 2024, so I brought him in. The vet refused to even touch him because he was hissing and upset. What kind of vet is scared of a cat? He didn't look into his mouth at all and sent me home. I came back some days later and we finally drugged my cat and looked to find he had some gum bleeding and needed a tooth cleaning and scheduled that. I also had to get expensive blood work done twice because he had high levels of something they didn't want him to have with anesthesia. Fine. But it delayed things so much that my cat gradually had his tongue hanging out and he couldn't eat. We go in for dental work in January 2025 and after several hours I am called in to get him, but first the vet wanted to talk to me. My cat had a massive tumor on the underside of his tongue. He was a senior cat who I was already force feeding wet food to, who was in immense amounts of pain, and now it was all making sense. Mouth cancer is extremely aggressive and it's not recommended to try to treat, according to many sources I asked, especially for a senior cat. A feeding tube or whatever else would have made the poor guy completely miserable in his final years and I would not have been able to afford it in the first place. They found this tumor and proceeded to do the dental work anyway, charging me over $1k of money I did not have and needed to use care credit for. Vets I have asked about this have since been appalled and stated they would never proceed without asking the client first if they thought expensive tooth cleaning would even be worth it. Because it wasn't. Mere days later, his quality of life was so bad that I had to put him to sleep. So thanks for the $1k+ tooth cleaning for my dead fucking cat. Really awesome.
