Pedlars is one of those alternative lifestyle aspirational brands. You know the sort: all pricey retro home wares and heritage brands. They once emailed me to say that they had "vintage French pencils and sharpeners" in stock. You get the idea.
Pointless as some of the stock is, I can't help but be sucked in by the place. The kitchenware is really good - I picked up six perfect bistro-style wine glasses from there for about a tenner. It is also an excellent place to pick up presents for people who are notoriously difficult to please.
The staff are always friendly and they are more than happy for you to browse. Expect to gawp at some of the prices, but remember: you aren't just buying a second hand milk bottle (£7.95); you are buying a piece of design history. Ahem. read more
