For a furniture store, the prices here are decent and are much cheaper than what you would find in furniture retail shops. What I will also say is that the quality of items on offer here are particularly good and this place is well worth a visit. It is a big store although there were some cramped areas. Staff are excellent and they will happily help you out. Having spoken to the staff here, I got the impression that they really are passionate about the company they work for. They also care about their customers as well which is great to see. And I'll also say you can have plenty of banter with them. A decent furniture store and one shop I might well visit again.

For me you can't call yourself a true Brummie until you have experience this place. An almost palace of cheap and cheerful shopping they stock pretty much everything from home ware, clothes, furniture, garden products, electrical, lights, toys and even sweets and food. Spread over 3 floors once inside you might struggle to escape. I visit quite often as they have a lot of cheap things I use around festival season and Christmas. Even though it's cheap it's not all throwaway stuff, I bought some glasses there when I moved to my new apartment and the quality is pretty decent. As well as all the practical things you will need you can also find some very surreal and kitch decorative things. There are three floors dedicated to kitchenware, furniture, bedding, lighting and electrical goods, gardening equipment, tools, food and drink, cleaning products... see, everything! I recommend going by car or with a willingness to carry bags. And expect to leave there with a bunch of useless things you never intended to buy on your shopping trip (I still have the lenticular portrait of a tiger on my wall to this day).

Graham Hollier is the boss, he started the warehouse over twenty years ago and tells me He's still the first in, in the morning and the last to leave the showroom at night. It's a family run business and the team make sure you leave the store absolutely satisfied. Silentnight, Myer's, Sleepeeze Sealy are among other top brands at reasonable prices with free delivery. I had a super king-sized leather bed with silentnight mattress and it's the best bed in the world, you'll have to take my word for it as my girlfriend reads these reviews!!!

I have bought bed/sofa/chairs over the years from here, and like to have a wander and window shop occasionally. It has some wonderful, quirky items and soon has me redecorating (mentally that is!). It has a huge range of carpets/rugs and flooring and an even bigger selection of fabrics. The slaes staff all know what they are talking about too!! A rarity in these days of sell it and sell it cheap! It has a coffee shop, but last time I was there it didn't even do a cappacino! So no points there, but then that isn't why you go. I thoroughly reccommend a visit. We will all be the poorer if Hopewells goes too, and it is not that much more expensive, particularly at sale time.

The quality of service is also excellent - we recently had hard floors fitted by Hopewells throughout the ground floor of our house and are very happy with the quality. The showroom is great for a browse, with ranges of smaller items including crockery and cutlery as well as furniture.
