Wanted to write an update to my initial review over 6 years ago. We still love PJ. We now have three children and Dr. Lincoln (and all of her staff!) have been helpful, available, knowledgeable and kind to us as we navigate parenthood and keeping our kiddos safe & healthy. Having had my third baby during this pandemic (beginning of April) was terrifying but PJ has yet again reassured me that they are here for our family when we need them and will do so the safest way possible. I called to get my daughter on a waitlist to be start going here (since a lot of her friends go) they not only have NO waitlist, they also told me the only way to get her seen is to watch their Facebook page. Nice to see the employees work so hard. They should really have a more professional system in place. Or maybe they should just design filters or see how many followers they can get to like their status! read more

Dr. Lincoln is the most attentive and learned Pediatrician. We've been going there 10 years and within that timeframe have had to deal with a couple major physical issues and Dr. Lincoln basically saved my daughter's life by utilizing her knowledge and expertise. My children became patients if Dr. Lincoln when PJ barely opened its doors (late 2005/beginning 2006). My girls were 2.5 years old and around six months old. Initially the service was amazing. The best care my kids had received and being that I was new in town from California, just made the experience that much better. Dr. Lincoln's mother ran the office and was the front office receptionist as well at that time, I think her name is Carolyn from what I recall. So the business was very tiny but busy since the good word got around town of her practice. I had my son in June 2007 and they accepted him right away as a new patient since his siblings had been established patients for a while already. Their practice had already filled up by this time and they were no longer accepting new patients. Dr. Lincoln cared for my kids till she went through her cancer and then we saw Dr. Collins for a while. After that, Dr. Lincoln came back and things seemed pretty good as they were with their staff and the time they took at each appointment. I was encouraged to supplement with formula by Dr. Lincoln since my son wasn't getting enough breast milk from what she told me. I just did what she said trusting her as my son's doctor. We ended up moving back to California in 2011. By that time it seemed the office began to work as any other doctors office seeing their patients as numbers. Their care seems to go downhill. It made me sad being that I was there from the beginning and saw how it all changed so fast. I've read other reviews and can believe them since it was initially the downfall I had seen happen with their office. But based on my experience with them for the years my children were seen there, their practice was amazing. My kids are 16, 14 and 12 now. How time flies! Hopefully the practice will regain what they once had with their compassionate and excellent care. read more

I love this practice!! My best friend used them for both of her children and recommended them to me when I was pregnant with my son in 2019. They now see both my kids (22 months and 9 months). If I could leave them 10 stars I would. Not only is Dr.Lincoln great but her nurse practitioners, Courtney and Andrea, are just as wonderful! I actually look forward to taking the kids to their well check appointments b/c I enjoy seeing them. All my interactions with the rest of their staff, from the clinical staff to the office staff, has been just as great. They are knowledgeable, caring, great with the kids, good listeners, easy to reach, and very responsive when I have a question or concern, even after hours and on weekends. My son has a delay and they even reached out to me to see how his therapy progress was going. Having 2 kids only 13 months apart we are there a lot b/t well checks and sick visits. I drive from about 40 minutes away and they are definitely worth it. read more

I give up. I have tried to get my kid in to see this doctor for 6 or 7 years. Every time I call they say they aren't accepting new patients and act like I *just* missed it. They refuse to keep a waiting list and just tell you to keep trying. It's sad to me that anyone runs a medical practice/business like that and just puts the burden on busy and stressed parents to keep calling. On truth I was done with this place a long time ago but every now and then I drive by it or someone mentions it and I try again just out of curiosity. Never wrote a review before, so just wanted to warn others and sympathize with anyone else who had a similar experience. read more

I have a 18 month old. She's been a patient of Dr Collins since she was born. Dr Collins is very competent and helpful. They have always been available. They rotate to be on call 24/7, which has been awesome especially considering I'm a first time mom. There was an instance where I was out of state and my daughter had scratched her eye no pediatrician was available locally on a Saturday. We went to see an optometrist but they were not able to prescribe anything due to her being so young. Although, they did note they were concerned her eye may get infected. I called Pediatric Junctions 24 hr line on a Saturday to get their opinion and Dr Collins called in a antibiotic ointment for me. I breastfeed for 10 months and they were supportive in that and gave me advise on transitioning to a bottle. Not all pediatricians are supportive of breastfeeding. A friend of mine had a pediatrician that told her to quit breastfeeding after she had a cold. It's important to find a pediatrician who will support you in your decision to breastfeed. They seem to be a christian based facility although, if it matters to you. They have never brought it up at all and aren't pushy or preachy about it so if you're not christian it wouldn't matter. Although, it's matters to me because if my child is sick I like the fact that not only are they knowledgeable but can believe in faith for a healing and that's important to my family. I've always had a pleasant experience there. They are compassionate but do give honest professional opinions and answers. Whether they tell me it's a good time to cut her off from drinking the bottle or her to be in her own crib. It was hard for me to hear but I took Dr Collins advise and started the transition when they told me to and we are happy sleepers and no bottles for a while now. We love this facility and I'm so glad we found them. read more

This will be a detailed review, so if you don't want to read all of it, let me sum it up here: We love Pediatric Junction so much that even if we moved away and had to drive an hour each way, passing hundreds of pediatric offices, we would keep going to Pediatric Junction. Now, on to the review: We were referred to the office by friends when my wife was 32 weeks pregnant with our first child. After viewing the website and hearing reviews from friends, we decided to look into the practice further. I called the office and talked with someone in the office for about ten minutes about their practice and immediately signed my child up. The office staff is very upfront about their vaccination policy, which I appreciate. For further information about what they believe (and what the scientific community believes), visit their website. The day after my child was born, I called the office and set up an appointment for her. The office made sure to give me specific instructions on what to bring to the appointment. Very useful when everything you know about your life has just changed over the past 24 hours! They asked that we make an early morning appointment which is a great idea. Their reasoning is to get the healthy kids (especially newborns) in the office before they start seeing sick kids after 9am. They also have two separate waiting rooms, one for well children (which is closed off from the rest of the office), and one for sick kids. Her first appointment was also our first trip out as a new family, so of course, it was frantic and we were almost late. The office staff understood and it was no problem. Everyone in the office and support staff was happy to see us and seemed to enjoy working there. The actual building is an old home that has been refurbished and gives a much different and refreshing atmosphere. We saw Dr. Lincoln and after examining our baby, spent about 20 minutes talking about their practice. She explained every part of the exam and gave us lots of good information. She also explained what to expect in the next year as far as visits and shots are concerned. Dr. Lincoln also was very clear about when to call her for questions and made us feel very comfortable about contacting her after hours if we needed to. As a medical provider myself (paramedic), I could tell that Dr. Lincoln had fantastic bedside manner, truly enjoyed patient teaching, and cared about us and our baby. This was very comforting and refreshing. Since then, we have had several well visits and one sick visit. They have all exceeded my expectations. We have called the office after hours a few times. Whomever was on call was able to return our call within 10-15 minutes and had our medical records pulled up on their computer. We have also called for some quick advice during office hours. Every time we called, the nurse was able to call us back and give advice that did not involve us making an unnecessary appointment, which we are so thankful for. We are so lucky to have found Pediatric Junction and would not go anywhere else. read more

We were told to fill out the online form in order to set up an appointment but after reviewing the fact that we were "self-pay" were denied an appointment. This says to me they price gouge the insurance providers. read more

I really wanted to like this practice. We went through the application process while I was pregnant with our first child and loved the location, the old house, the Christian approach, etc. We were assigned to Dr. Lincoln but ended up seeing Dr. Collins at our appointment right after our daughter was born because Dr. Lincoln's father was having surgery...no problem, the appointment was fine. Then we saw Dr. Lincoln a couple of times over the next few weeks. Meanwhile, my milk supply came in completely, and breastfeeding became an absolute nightmare--my daughter was crying, choking and spitting up during feedings. We were both in tears during many feedings. Dr. Lincoln told me that it was acid reflux and prescribed Zantac. I eventually figured out through the La Leche League website that my daughter was literally choking on my milk because of forceful letdown and overproduction so I called PJ and talked to Dr. Lincoln's nurse Courtney. I tried to explain to her that what my daughter was spitting up was fresh breastmilk, that it was never getting down to her stomach, not curded like acid reflux spit up, and told her the ridiculous amount of milk I could pump in 5 minutes (2-3 times what most women can pump in 15 min), etc. She wouldn't listen to what I was saying and said "we can prescribe a stronger antacid." It became obvious that she knew very little about breastfeeding so I asked if they could refer me to a lactation consultant. (I had already called the hospital we delivered at and left a message asking for one of theirs to call me but I think it was too long after we had delivered for them to help me because they never called back.) The only lactation consultant Courtney could recommend was in North Austin, and I would have to make an appointment to go see her...that's really helpful when I'm in Buda with a newborn, exhausted and drenched in breastmilk and having intense pregnancy/childbirth-related sacrum/lower back pain that prevented me from driving for several months. Thank goodness I got in touch with a lactation consultant through a friend of a friend who helped me over the phone to do strict block feeding for several weeks and get my supply under control (a very painful process). About a week into the block feeding, I was so miserable and depressed and ready to give up that I called PJ and talked to Dr. Collins because she was the doctor on call. She basically told me that overproduction wasn't a problem and not to stop breastfeeding. It was obvious that she knew very little about overproduction issues. I finally talked to my general practitioner (who sees all ages) about the issues we were having, and she said to just bring my daughter to her, so I did. I gave PJ one last chance when I called to cancel my daughter's future appointments and tell them I was taking her to my GP because of the practice's ridiculous approach to breastfeeding--don't stop at all costs but we can't help if you have issues--and Courtney's dismissal of what I told her. The receptionist put me on hold for a minute, then came back and said "Okay, your appointments are cancelled". If Dr. Lincoln cared about losing a patient, she would have called. We have been so much happier with my doctor and her nurse. read more

Today we received a call that Dr. Karyn Collins is leaving Pediatric Junction. Because of that the child my wife and I are expecting in the next weeks now does not have a pediatrician because they no longer have room for new patients. When we asked where Dr. Collins is going, in hopes of potentially following her to a new office if that is her plan, we were told that they did not have that information. I certainly hope everything is alright with Dr. Collins, but from our perspective this is not a very professional approach by the office and pretty disappointing as we are trying to be ready for a new baby. read more

Dr Lincoln and her staff have been wonderful for both my kids for the last 6 years. Her communication technology is the best, making it easy to get ahold of someone during those odd hours when a kid gets sick and the office is closed. read more

While it's true the front desk staff often leaves something to be desired, I think it's amiss to one-star the whole practice over one interaction with a receptionist. We take our two children to Dr. Collins at Pediatric Junction, and she is FANTASTIC! Caring, thorough, responsive, and I trust her entirely with our kids' health. She returns calls promptly and personally. Dr. Lincoln seems to be just as good, based on one visit where we saw here in Dr. Collins' absence. I like the small practice and have found the medical assistants to be extremely helpful and kind. I appreciate the separated well child/sick child waiting areas. We live in Austin, but chose this practice for the small-town feel. The downtown Austin practice we visited made us feel like a number, and at Pediatric Junction I truly feel like they know us and care about us. The "head" front desk lady definitely needs a course in customer service, though, because she's been abrupt with me in the past. The younger girls are fine, not overly friendly but they get the job done. read more

I'm very upset that Dr. Collins is leaving, and I'm left to find a new doctor for my kids after 5 years. I love this office and the staff is amazing. I am now searching for a new Dr. but they have still remained to go out their way for me. The staff is great and Dr. Lincoln is also great. I want to thank Melissa,Tammy and the rest of the staff for their excellent Customer Service. If I could give this office more than 5 stars I would. read more

Last year all three of my boys were fighting viruses and such...After several visits to see Dr. Lincoln, and before the long Thanksgiving break, Dr. Lincoln personally called the house at about 8pm that evening to see how the boys were and to let me know what her office and on-call hours would be. FIVE STARS! That meant the world to me...less urgent, but equally valuable...I recently found out that two of my boys needed shots before kindergarten on the day of enrollment...because I had all of the paperwork and the patients with me, they allowed me to wait in the waiting room until the Nurse could administer the shots. That saved me the embarrasement of having to ask off for work a second time to complete the enrollment process. I love our Dr! I love the nurses...the boys love their "Nurse Heather"! The staff and service have never let us down! You can't go wrong with this office. read more

This medical home has been an amazing place for the many stages of healthcare that my family has gone through over the past 10 years. (3 boys... Now 14,16,18) We see Dr. Lincoln and as an RN myself I appreciate her "evidence based practice" approach to treatments. She keeps up to date on AAP recommendations. I applaud the strong primary care approach and education on preventative health and fitness. As the boys got older I loved that she unashamedly addressed the topics of drug use and sexual activity at their annual check ups. Healthcare in general can be a frustrating place to maneuver when your child is ill. I believe PJ does a good job of putting the needs of the kids first. read more

We have been with Pediatric Junction for approximately 10 years. Dr. Anna Lincoln has been SO good to my children. Has kept them healthy and she's given me peace of mind as a parent. I can't express enough, how great Dr. Lincoln and her staff are. I've heard a lot of complaints about OTHER offices regarding terrible staff, uncaring situations. That is NOT the case with Pediatric Junction. They have wonderful bedside manner and they are led by one of the most competent and brilliant pediatrician that serves Buda/Austin, Texas. We are blessed and thankful as a community to have Dr. Anna Lincoln as our children's doctor. read more

Love, Love, Love ... Pediatric Junction. Dr. Collins is amazing! She is a loving , caring pediatrician who simply loves her patients. My daughter (8) has been a patient of hers since 2006. I would agree with the reviews that the doctors have a great bedside manner BUT they have no respect for parental rights. Our children were dropped as patients because we did not come in on a yearly basis and immunize our children. We had not been into their office for a couple of year because our children have been healthy and had no need from medical attention. When we recently called to setup an appointment, we were informed that in order to remain patients with their practice, we would have to be seen at least once a year and submit to regular immunizations. The last time our eldest was there for a visit, they wanted her to get the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine and when we told her how we felt about immunizations in general and HPV specifically, we were chided for our views. Apparently they feel so strongly about the immunization of our children that they are now refusing to provide medical care to our children, whom have been patients for many years. So if you care anything about being able to make your own informed decisions about what medical care your children should and shouldn't receive, I would advise you look elsewhere for a pediatric doctor. read more

We started off with Pediatric Junction when my son was born (Dr. Lincoln). My child was small as a baby and thus we were going down a road I never thought possible with his pediatrician. She scared us with information that our child was too small and not developing normally and that he would have to undergo tests to determine what was wrong. She also questioned our ability as parents (regarding his social developments...are we playing with him and interacting?) This frustrated both my husband and I and we immediately made the decision to seek another opinion. We are now with ARC and have been completely happy with our new pediatrician. By the way, there was nothing wrong with our son...he is healthy and happy!! This Dr. needs to learn compassion and understanding and apply it to her bedside manner. read more

I have a 2 year old that has been a patient of Dr. Collins at Pediatric Junction since he was born. We were referred by a fellow mom in the NICU (my son was 2 months premature). We recently just switched to ARC in Austin because of our complaints. To start off, I'm a young mother, I was 19 when I had my son, but I have helped raise my three younger siblings as well as babysat more than a handful of newborns-6 month olds on a regular basis, but because of the age on the paperwork, and the fact that my (then fiance) husband and I were not married when we had our son, apparently was something to look down upon. I felt as though I was treated as a little girl coming in who didn't know anything about babies -- and I was talked down to. Any concerns I had were almost scoffed at -- like I had no reason to worry about that or it was dumb for me to. I took my son in for a severed frenulum because his mouth was profusely bleeding and I had no idea where it was coming from and Dr. Collins spent about 2 minutes in the room with us, told me what it was, and was pretty mechanical in the visit-- there was no warmth behind her tone, it was almost as if I was inconveniencing her by bringing my son in. My son's circumcision also reattached on one side, and I was very concerned about the future and when he was sexually active how it would curve to the side being reattached where it was. She prescibed a cream to put on it, with instructions for me to apply the cream daily, and after two weeks, start trying to pull the skin back because it was barely attached. So I put this steriod cream on my 6 month old's penis for the 2 weeks, as directed, and started trying to pull the skin back , while my child was screaming. Obviously, I immediately stopped. At his 9 month appointment, when I told her that I wanted to pursue other options, she assured me the cream would work and I just needed to do it some more -- instead of even talking with me about surgery. So I continued applying the cream, with the same results, and after the 2nd time I decided this wasn't happening anymore. I was unable to go to his year appointment due to being in school, so my mother-in-law took him, under my instruction to tell Dr. Collins we wanted to do something other than the cream, and she told HER to do it since I was so uncomfortable applying it myself. So at his 18 month old appointment, my husband and I both went, and a nurse, training practitioner AND Dr. Collins were in the room and when I even said the word "surgery" I was bombarded by all three of them telling me that surgery wasn't something I should subject my son to, and was it "easier for YOU or for him". That was it for me. We ended up going to ARC in Austin (we also moved there) and the Doctor not only assured me that we didn't need to do anything until he was 4 or 5, but that it may actually un-attach by itself, and that the cream was unneeded. He was completely attentive to my son, and answered any and all questions my husband and I had with incredible bedside manner and never stopped playing with Garner and making sure he was comfortable there. He even suggested using options other than medicine for his, then, constipation (Dr. Collins prescribed a glycerin powder to put in his milk when he had the same problem at 6 months), and gave us his card and encouraged us to call him if we had any concerns or questions no matter the time, and was almost excited he took over his care after most of his shots were already administered. Going from what we experienced previously to ARC, showed me how badly we were treated and how badly the switch was needed. My son still has problems getting his diaper changed. PJ is also charging us a fee to transfer records. read more

I have three children (and I have a medical background). All see Dr. Lincoln, Courtney, or Lisa. One of my children is VERY special needs an therefore rather high maintenance. I have had to call them at 3 am on a Monday, to 10am while they're in church and pull them out of service. I ALWAYS get a call back within minutes. While I wouldn't wish my child's issues on anyone, I would highly recommend this team of medical professionals. I've had to deal with some HORRIBLE military doctors, so finding comfort in a civilian practice has been nothing short of amazing. My youngest is more than a challenge and they never give up on him. He can be extremely ill and in the hospital and they work sooooo hard with his team of specialist to figure out what's going on. When another doctor says no, or I don't have time, they don't accept that as an answer and mare sure my child gets the care he needs!!! I wouldn't trade in this team (from the front desk to the MAs to the doctor) for any other place. I go to ARC myself and keep my children at PJ. It is their 'home' and I'm proud of all the hard work they do for my family. I couldn't be happier with a pediatric team. read more

This office was rude and offensive. I called and the office manager was talking down to me and when i asked to speak with a dr. Regarding my concerns I was hung up on. I will not give them my business or trust them with the care of my children. NO WAY. I only hope the Dr. Reads this since the staff refused me any kind of grievance process. read more

My daughter loves Dr.Lincoln . Pediatric Junction is so close to our home and all of the staff is so loving and friendly.

My daughter became a patient to Dr. Lincoln after she was born in June 2008. I was so pleased at the care Dr. Lincoln gave to her and myself. She knows her stuff about medicine but most importantly she is a Mom just like me and can give me suggestions and tips that have worked in her life. I loved that I could call the on call phone line and her or Dr. Collins would call me back no matter the hour. They were just amazing and kept a new Mom always at ease. Sadly, we moved 3 hours away in 2011 and I miss Dr. Lincoln and Pediatric Junction immensely. read more

I called this place to make an appointment for my newborn as it's close to my house and convenient. I called several times to make an appointment always being given some reason why they can't make the appointment. The person answering the phone has been short/borderline rude. I, myself, have been in the healthcare industry for 10 yrs and understand a busy day, but each time I've called (4 time plus) the person answering has been rude. That's problem number one.... my BIGGEST complaint is that this practice won't accept patients unless they have standard commercial insurance. That's absolutely ridiculous. I am self pay as commercial insurance is 700/800 dollars per month for all of my kids and it's cheaper for me to pay out of pocket. I am super disappointed that a doctors establishment won't even give me the opportunity to pay for my visit out of pocket since doctors are supposed to help people and care for them. They can keep their snobby practice as I don't want anything to do with this place let alone give them the privilege of caring for my 2 month old. I wish I could give zero stars to this place for the rude staff and their policies. read more

as a father of two kids i thought this would be a good place to bring my children i later this is not true this office is so unorganized its not even funny i mean when you go to dr. office you expected to wait but to wait over and 1hour and half and then to make you feel like your idiot just because you have somequestions on the vaccines they are giving your child come on now that is ridiculous . the medical assistant wehere very helpful but the dr. where rude and the older lady i belive they call nana or something is very very rude i will never referr anyone to this practice and take my children here. read more
