Understanding the issue first and patiently listening before bringing up penalty and late fees is what sets apart quality care. Interesting thing is that we left a message on Friday and Saturday and then someone from the office also called us to confirm cancelation and since I was driving she said to call back with a new time request (when I could access my calendar). However, when we called later, we were told they didn't have "any notes". And, asked for a name of the person who we spoke to. It is not our responsibility to know the name of the front desk staff we spoke to - it is understood that someone is making a note at their side. And, if the office staff is unsure, why not give the benefit of the doubt and if unsure, why not first check with your staff, your records, your voice note? Finally one staff member did confirm speaking with us but hadn't made a note. Could have done the due diligence first instead of reminding us that we are getting penalized? Also there's a dog in the clinic that freely roams around and barked...really don't feel comfortable with that.

They also ended up brushing some of it on my mouth/lips and it felt like a mess and very sloppy. Very disappointed at the "hidden costs" since it felt like a sneaky way for them to earn extra money. They provide you "additional services" which I didn't really need since my teeth have had no issues in years, and then you're forced to pay. I will not be trusting them for any future dental care. If they're the type of clinic that tries to find sneaky ways to earn extra money, who knows what future "concerns" or "problems" they'll find with your teeth that you may not really need. I also emailed them about my discomfort in having to pay for services that I didn't need and that they were not upfront with about the additional cost, but they didn't bother to reply.

Owing to the extensive nature of 60+ years of hard use, my teeth were worn out and in desperate need of repair and/or replacement, so it took quite a while, mostly due to the number of procedures needed but more importantly, the recovery time between the procedures, but in the end, it was absolutely worth it. It was remarkable to see the entire process from start to finish at Lexington Smile Studio and I couldn't help but marvel at what is possible with the modern dental technology they use at their office. As I mentioned in my prior reviews, Dr. Gatti, and the the rest of the staff helped me by providing consistently high quality dental care during the entire process. The one thing I learned about Dr. Gatti is that he's an absolute perfectionist, almost to a fault. Towards the end of my treatments when the crowns were being installed into the titanium implants he initially placed, he was rarely satisfied with the final fit with the adjacent teeth unless the fit was absolutely, positively perfect in every way. Most of the crowns went back for additional customization before they were deemed good enough for the final installation. In my desperation to eat really solid foods again I asked him why they implants had to keep going back to the artist/dental technician for further refinement when they seemed OK to me, so I asked him why it was necessary to keep sending them back and he smiled and said "Michael, I owe you nothing but our very best work" or words to that effect, and of course that made sense and those words were very reassuring. I have been to many dentists over the years who put crowns in for me and not one of them ever took the time to make sure there was a perfect fit with the adjacent teeth, thus causing food impaction over the years, which lead to further decay. It was quite remarkable to see the process, and of course, the final product is gorgeous and I couldn't be more pleased. A little bit about the staff at the office...Brianna his senior dental technician is a marvelous and compassionate caregiver and while she might not realize it, helped me get through some of the tough procedures including extractions and implant placements. While she is technically very competent, it was her great personality that helped me get through a couple of tough procedures. I had Rosie for one or two of the procedures, and she was likewise a marvelous technician. I am also very grateful for Marianne, the office manager who helped make the whole process possible with her flexible financial guidance. Being a registered nurse, I'm not a wealthy man, but she was cognizant of that, and made the whole thing possible by working with my dental insurance and being flexible with me by setting up a payment plan that made it possible to receive the great care I experienced. She was just great, especially when it came to understanding the billing, which can be a bit overwhelming. Of course, the ladies at the front desk, Erika and Elizabeth, were unfailingly kind and courteous whenever I had to manage scheduling multiple appointments, etc. Finally, the technician who actually made my crowns I came to learn is a master at his craft. A Japanese gentleman named Yuki Momma who I never met, but has an online presence and known all over the world for his work and the seminars he gives to young technicians. I viewed some of his online instructional video's that demonstrated how he crafts crowns that fit perfectly and are beautifully reproduced to mimic real teeth. Wow, the crowns he made for me look as realistic as the natural ones I used to have when I was a younger man, and so I feel privileged to carry his exceptional work everywhere I go. Finally, with as many appointments as I had, I feel as though I've gotten to know everyone in the office fairly well, and that's been a special treat. The team there provided a personalized experience, always making me feel right at home and #1 while in their office. I'm pretty sure most folks don't enjoy going to the dentist to get work done, but if you MUST have work done, this fine office is just the place to go. In closing, as my major restoration work came to an end yesterday, I can, without reservation, recommend the practice to anyone who asks. My personal experience over the years has shown that I don't think you can do better than by going to Dr. Gatti at Lexington Smile Studio for any sort of dental procedures, large or small. Having a child who has difficulty in school, it is extremely counterproductive to take him out of school for an orthodontic appointment every time, not to mention what it does to my day; I end up having to take a half day off from work for every appointment, which is ridiculous. They sincerely need to come in to the current century and accommodate working, single mothers, or anyone else who works a normal work day. They also do not call with an appointment reminder. I don't think there is any doctor's office or dentist's office that I go to that doesn't give you a courtesy call to remind you of an appointment. They do not do this here. Overall, even though he's a talented doctor, his office policies are horrible and unaccommodating.
