Do not take your kids here! You have been warned! I had been taking my son to this practice for 7 years and you can imagine how much money I had spent with these people in that 7 years. By the way they are extremely expensive. The cost for my son to get a tooth extracted with just laughing gas was $405! I took him to an oral surgeon and had it extracted with IV sedation for almost half that.
There was a mix up with my insurance which caused me to have a past due balance, no problem. I was told that I could make payment arrangements, which again was no problem I readily agreed and made the first payment of $100 via phone that day, well the very next day I take him in to get the tooth extracted and all of a sudden the finance manager (who is about as nasty as they come) tells me that there is no payment arrangement (even though whoever I talked to put it in the notes) she just said I don't know why they told you that, but we can not take a payment arrangement and we can not see your child. They were unwilling to work with me and wanted the entire balance upfront from someone who had been a patient there over 7 years and spent thousands of dollars-mind you as I said above the previous day when I made this payment arrangement these scammers told me I had to pay $100 to start the arrangement which I paid. So the next day after accepting my money for a payment arrangement you tell me there is no payment arrangement? Beware, there are many many other great pediatric dentists you can take your child too beside theses clowns. In addition they kept insisting my son needed a root canal which I agreed and it wasn't done correctly and got an infection and they wanted me to pay to have yet another done on the same tooth-mind you he's 11! Also if you do take your kids here know your insurance benefits before you go. When I went to get the tooth extracted (and thank God they refused to do it because I would have overpaid) they tell me the bill is about $405 and my insurance will only pay $53! Well, I call my insurance and they tell me that they have no clue where this office got their numbers from, but they pay 50% of all costs. When I called the office back to discuss it with them the front desk lady who God only knows what her background is tells me that my insurance only pays $350 per year! How ridiculous who ever heard of such nonsense! The $350 was my out of pocket maximum-not the annual max! So had I stayed there I would have overpaid them by a lot of money. In my opinion this practice does not give a crap about its patients, and they are not knowledge on insurance benefits, and moreover they are just financially dense.I offered to pay the past due, but they refused to accept it if it wasn't all up front. What type of sense does that make? One would think the smart option would be to accept the payment arrangement and get the money rather than turn it down. read more
