I had a consultation at KC Braces & Kids and came away with mixed feelings…read more First, the treatment coordinator was wonderful. She was friendly, personable, and made me feel comfortable throughout the appointment. I have no complaints about her at all. My experience with Dr. Robinson was different. I only spoke with him for about two minutes, and I felt like he moved through my treatment plan very quickly without much discussion or explanation. Rather than focusing on the specifics of my case, the conversation seemed to emphasize why the practice is the best and how great the overall experience would be. I left feeling like I had received more of a sales presentation than a detailed orthodontic consultation. Their pricing was comparable to other orthodontists in the area, so cost wasn't a deciding factor for me. One thing prospective patients should be aware of is that the office offers gift card incentives for leaving reviews. I can't say how much that affects their overall rating, but I do think it's worth knowing when looking at the large number of five-star reviews. Overall, everyone I interacted with was kind, and I genuinely think the quality of treatment here is probably very good. I don't believe I would have had any major complaints if I had chosen this practice. For me personally, though, I place a high value on a detail-oriented approach, especially with orthodontic treatment where small details can make a big difference. I simply would have preferred more time with the orthodontist discussing my specific treatment plan before making such a significant decision.

I'm happy to say we found it at KC Family Dental. Our 3 year old son had his first visit and it was a success! The hygienist approached him at his comfort level and he even let her clean his teeth a bit. Dr. Brent answered all of our questions about what we needed to do for his oral health and had a great personality to work with kids. Fast forward to my appointment and it turned out I needed multiple fillings on both sides of my mouth and a crown. I was nervous to have that amount of dental work done and be in a dental chair for over 2 hours but I'm happy to report it went very well. Dr. Brent and her assistant could not have been nicer during the whole experience and the combination of their friendly attitudes and confidence made me comfortable. The addition of having a TV to watch while I had the work done was also a great distraction.
