If I was in the area I would definitely check back but I wouldn't drive the 45 minutes I drove to get here again just to come in. Worth checking out though if in the area.

I've brought my items to the register to check out, only to have her say, "Is this ALL your getting? It's not worth my time!" Checking out is also slow and tedious, as the workers must type each item up separately and unfortunately, it's a long process with mistakes often made. Additionally, I concur with the other reviews... the owner stalks you around the mall and snaps if you have your mask even a little down off your nose. You must understand, there is no more mandatory mask decree, it's July, and there is no A/C in the mall that I could feel. My face was beet red and I was sweating buckets by the time I got to the counter to be checked out...only to be insulted. She was rough with my items that were fragile, and she snapped at me when I put my items at the wrong area of the counter. Geesh! Do you even want customers! The mall itself is messy, under stocked, with no shopping carts, no public bathrooms, no place to sit down, many items with no price...all with the hatefulness of the owner? No thanks! There are much nicer antique malls in Muncie (Caldwell's) that will get my business. How this one is still getting customers is beyond my comprehension.

There was a lot that I wanted but ended up with a jean jacket and a bag. There were a few things I was still thinking about and didn't want to carry around, but ended up forgetting them until after I had already left. We did a U - turn and we were able to find a parking spot right in front of the store. We received a friendly greeting as we walked in and had a lot of fun looking through the very well stocked store. We had limited time so we only made one pass through but I'm sure we missed lots of goodies. It's one of those stores that requires several passes to take everything in. I spotted a wooden statue (I included a picture) that I thought was charming and so he now resides in my home. The store owner was very nice and helpful and I look forward to stopping in again. They aren't a large shop, especially compared to some other "antique" places that are more flea market than vintage and antique. But I was pleased that these items were more appealing without having to spend a lot of time sorting through endless booths. I was greeted as I entered and had no difficulty finding free street parking nearby. Note that the prices here aren't the cheapest either. But I attribute that to the pieces being of solid quality and having to cover the cost of running a shop in the downtown area. I said to the lady behind the counter that not many people would pay $5 for VHS tapes and she responded with "Yeah, well we sell them at that price every day." I said, "You don't have to argue with me" and we left! Goodwill and other Flea Markets average $1 for VHS tapes, including brand new and sealed.
