Pedal Revolution. I've personally been in their shop on Bethel Street many, MANY times, and also visited their Cromer shop. I've always found the staff extremely helpful and polite, particularly Sam and Kate - if you say you are just browsing, they will gladly leave you to browse to your hearts' content without any hassling. If you ask for help or advice, they always seem to find time to help, demonstrating their products, letting you compare similar items, trying stuff on (such as helmets and other clothing). If there is something you are after, but they don't have it in stock, they will order it in for you, with NO obligation to buy if you don't like it. There is categorically NO pressure to buy anything. They have a great range of bikes, components, clothing, accessories and even nutritional products. Their range of tyres in stock is arguably the most comprehensive in Norwich - where else can you buy studded tyres from stock? Their prices always seem competitive, and they are willing to do deals on pricing if you ask nicely. I recently bought a pair of CatEye Volt 1200 dual LED headlamps (after a superb, lengthy demonstration and comparison by Sam), and their price I later found was by far the best, even when hunting online. I sense they'll cater for all riding abiliities, all types of bikes - from trusty shopping steeds to the very latest Carbon exotica - they will treat all as equals. I've encountered many Norwich bike shops for over a quarter of a century - and frankly, Pedal Revolution are head and shoulders above most other Norwich shops, and are equal in esteem to one other Norwich bike shop whom I also rate. Pedal Revolution WILL look after you - but they can't perform the impossible (like if one of their suppliers fails to deliver something on time). I have been into Pedal Revolution twice - once to look at a bike, the second time to reserve one via my work's Cycle to Work Scheme. I would like to rubbish the prior review about lack of customer service - whatever this person encountered, I found the opposite both times and noticed the same great detail of attention being paid to everyone who walked through the door. I was served by two different people (Wayne and Katie, I believe) and both were extremely welcoming and listened attentively to all of my (probably stupid) questions, as someone who is looking to get into cycling. They didn't try to upsell me, instead pointing out the bikes that would best suit my individual needs. My second visit was late in the evening and I didn't feel remotely rushed. Having worked in customer service for 6 years, I know it's tempting to do so at 5.30pm on a weekday and wouldn't have blamed them. However, they were friendly and welcoming throughout. Nothing but appreciative of the service I received at Pedal Revolution. I can't wait to get my new bike. read more

A great looking bike shop with a wide selection of bikes, accessories and kit. However, the customer service is poor. I called in to the Norwich branch to pick up an inner tube and queued for almost 30 minutes whilst I waited for the staff to finish chatting. I get the impression that unless you're a 'mate' the staff aren't interested. Several customers gave up waiting and left, and I would have done the same if I hadn't needed an emergency tube to get me home. A little short-sighted to miss out on potential customers. read more
