Went here tonight and the vibes were amazing. This was my first time in the restaurant, and I'm glad i came on a Friday night while they were doing karaoke. Everyone in the restaurant was enjoying and participating in karaoke. We made reservations and were sat down immediately upon arrival. They have good food, hookah, and drinks. The Brussels were amazingggggggg. I haven't had any that good in so long. No one in my group complained about their food at all. I'm glad i gave them a chance because i had heard their food wasn't that great but i disagree! The only small complaint I have is the seafood eggrolls were a little too cheesy for my liking but I'm sure that's just a personal preference. Most people like a lot of cheese. Our server was very attentive and helpful. I will be back, hopefully to do karaoke! read more

We had a BLAST at Pecola's! A large group of us (15) met for dinner and drinks on a Friday night. Lucky for us, SynHerghi band was performing that night! We ended up staying for FOUR hours because we were having so much fun singing and dancing to their jam-packed set list (pun intended! They played ALL our old school jams)! The food was fantastic! We loved the lemon pepper wings, jumbo shrimp, onion rings, charbroiled oysters, etc. The drinks were great and the servers were so incredibly patient while addressing all of requests. The vibes upon entering are very relaxed and welcoming. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The drinks were great, I had ordered myself a lemon drop and my friends split the mimosa flight! We ordered a double apple traditional hookah, it was flavorful and long lasting. I would recommend this place to someone looking for a chill but classy place to hang out. Made reservations for 4pm Sunday. We were seated immediately . Took drink order then food order. Water tasted like chlorine. Food order didn't come until 5:45. We ordered finger food. I wanted crab cake sliders and was told they were out. I ordered something else. Got around to the fourth person and she wanted the catfish sliders and was told they were out but she could have the crab cake sliders. Huh! I was my birthday they knew because of reservations but did it said nothing. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere but staff needs better training we never even received a second drink but management did say they had call outs. I get that but people were being fed that got there after us. The whole staff needs to be retrained. The only thing was good was the one drink that was brought to the table. read more

Seevice was not good. Opened at noon, our reservation was at 1pm. Sat down immediately in the restaurant section. Menu dropped off, had to find the waitress to take our order. SMH. Order taken, waited about 15 mins, she came back to say they were out of lamb chops. Did you not know that at noon since we got there at 1pm? SMH. The brunch is a la carte and truly is. I've been to Pecola's twice now and the combined experience is about 3 out of 5 stars. My first visit was great. I enjoyed the ambiance, the music, and the drinks. I will say it was very empty for a Saturday night. We didn't eat but only had drinks for my first visit. The second visit was for a birthday party in which one row of tables in the back room was reserved. This time the place was busier than my first visit. The food was plentiful for our party but the service was super slow. It was easier to walk to the bar rather than wait for the waitress. It was ONLY ONE waitress for the party. Our wait was between 15-20 minutes each time. It also was very hard to capture her attention. Each time she would come into the room, she would service one table and leave. That left other tables consistently waiting until she acknowledged them. For the second visit, I did eat. The party has a variety of bites Including wings, egg rolls, and more. The food was good. I will give them that. I just wish the service was better. read more

Food was just okay. Mini pancakes are frozen pastry type items that had a box after taste that we sent back. They don't remove items from the bill, which was fine- we still sent them back. Crab cakes were okay. Grits (&shrimp ) were very runny with more sauce than grits. The ambiance of this place is top tier.. but unfortunately that's about all that's good. Went to brunch on Sunday and was told they only have the buffet and none of the items we looked at online and wanted to order. We were told after sitting down what all was not available and that it was a buffet. The line for the buffet was ridiculous with only 2 and sometimes only 1 person serving. The server we had was terrible. We didn't get drinks until about 45 to an hour after getting there. Had to go ask for silverware and was given plastic wear. Other people had silverware but they didn't have anymore for us. Okay. They also have these extremely small plates for the buffet that costs $30. So you have to grab 2 and you have to keep getting in line to get more if you want to eat your moneys worth. They also kept running out of food making the buffet line take even longer. The taste of the food was good.. the shrimp and grits amazing. Just wish we could have ordered what we wanted instead of being forced to partake in the buffet. Sadly we wanted to try other items but due to the service being terrible won't be returning. My suggestions is if you're going to have a buffet have the staff in the kitchen and restaurant to provide a faster service. My experience was horrible! I enjoyed the drinks though. The service was terrible. The waitress didn't know anything in regard to the menu. The owner was very rude. When our food came, there were many issues from raw lamb chops to getting condiments after the food was finished. We also had issues with the bill. They tried over charging us by almost $20.
