As Kings Hookah & Lounge sits in a shopping plaza, there is ample parking. Once parked, we headed on in. It was Friday Night 9:45 pm and the Cover was $20/males and $15/females. Cover!!!! Yeah, I forgot what it was to pay a cover. Ha. Once inside, we chose a table. The space is very spacious and has the usual hookah lounge decor and setup. There was about 9 people inside but the DJ was rockinnnnnnnnnn. I'm talking hit after hit and I was so excited that the DJ understood how to mix, blend, and play reggae. The service was... let me say this, for there to have been 13 people by 11am, service was below standard as it was super slow and bland. As the menu looked amazing online I was excited to eat. I decided on the Beef Burger and baby listen... it was trash. One - The bun was HARD and STALE. Two - The burger was of a lower quality to the point that the chargrill flavor that I love didn't even taste right. However, the fries were bombbbbbbbb. Extra crispy. Perfect saltiness and pretty golden color. Overall, it was... (insert a word here that represents my aggravation). Nonetheless, if you just wanna kick it, hear a BOMB DJ, and blow Hookah... Pull up to Kings Hookah & Lounge. Just eat before you go.

My partner and I returned, this time with a friend. We got a special hookah, which comes with a…read morewatermelon head, blue mist flavor, and an ice tube (?) I could be referring to everything incorrectly, but aside from the flavor and I've tube, everything else was just for extra price. Our waiter was quite pleasant and took her time explaining each component of the hookah to us. When we ordered three strawberry lemon drop shooters, she informed us that they would be served in a martini glass, so "we will get more." Because we ordered shooters rather than cocktails. We were given a cocktail rather than shooters, so we were unintentionally overcharged for that as well. Although they were a little underwhelming, we still drank them and had a fantastic time. It simply was not what we had asked for. Although we had a great time and the Hookah was tasty, I don't think any of the extras were necessary. Looking around the room, we looked to be the only ones who had splurged but were still having the same experience. The ice tube (?) is the piece I would repurchase. It was cool how it made the smoke colder. The blue mist flavor was very tasty, although it was about all you could taste. The watermelon head was an extra $30 or so, but it was just for show. We were advised that paying $10 more for a better hooka would allow us more smoking time, but we still had to replace the coal more frequently than expected. The atmosphere inside was casual; the security guard outside informed my partner he couldn't bring his small bag in, but then let in two other men, with slightly larger bags directly after him. That struck me as strange. I wish the atmosphere inside was a little more...stimulating? The space is already very small, so I don't think there's much for you to sit and look around at besides other people after your chat somewhat finishes and some of you are waiting for your time at the Hookah. I believe it might benefit from more decorations, better lighting, and either more TV screens or having the TVs show different things rather than all being on the same channel. If you're looking for a local hooka joint, I recommend you check them out. But keep in mind that it is a lounge, so they will try to upcharge you at every opportunity.

They offer hookahs as well! I included a menu photo and the hours as well. It's right off Hampton Blvd before the light at Navy Fed. Good Day Yelpers!!!…read more It's been a while since I last posted a review, and I figured a good way to get back to it was a post of a cigar lounge. Cigar lounges are popping up everywhere around the Tidewater area, and last week, I came across Magoos Cigar Lounge (established in 2021). Sitting at the corner of Main and Atlantic St in downtown Norfolk. Across the street, the Marriot Hotel and the Hilton are nearby, so the location is perfect for visitors. This cigar lounge is very roomy, with plenty of cozy seating spread out around the pound. Magoos have four TV monitors, mostly for sporting events and the news, and all seating is in good view of them. Plenty of stylish ashtrays are available, as are some really lovely coffee and end tables. Membership is available, and it comes with a locker. The exhaust system is top-notch, allowing for smoke to vent clearing, making for a good experience. The humidor is stocked with various premium cigars but is on the small side. I brought a nub there, and it burned a little slow, leading me to believe that the humidity was a little high in the humidor. I recommend buying any cigars there, letting them sit in your own humidor, and bringing something from home. I also thought the price was a little expensive, but there are some good smokes in there Water, coffee, energy drinks, and soda are also available. Cigar accessories, prep stations, and a pool table add a nice touch. The vibe is relaxed, and plenty of windows allow for a nice view. Open 11 am to 8 pm Monday through Thursday, 10 pm Friday and Saturday, and 6 pm Sunday. These hours can be flexible depending on special events. What does it for me here is the location and space A nice place, and I will be back. Happy Yelping.
