We loved staying here! The staff are super welcoming and friendly, without being intrusive. The camp is beautiful and very well kept. We saw so much wildlife, the kids were loving it! The chickens on site are hilarious, they're like a bunch of little puppies. One even jumped in our storage Highly recommend this site!

We found this gem by accident and what a treat it was! The hosts are absolutely awesome! The free range chickens are so fun to watch and their eggs are amazing! The deer were so fun to watch! Don't forget to get yourself a lb of toffee pecans! The best we have ever had! This is a keeper and we will definitely be back! Thank you for such wonderful hospitality!

Campground extraordinaire! Located in Junction Texas just off I-10. Pecan Valley RV Park and Farm is a beautiful 25 acre gem in the Texas hill country that is extremely pet friendly. Amazing views and access of the South Llanos river, fantastic fishing, huge spaces for all size RVs, full hookups, immaculate bathhouse, free range farm fresh eggs collected every day, too much more to list. The best of all? At 6:00 PM every night an automatic deer feeder goes off and there's a deer stampede unlike anything I could ever imagine in a nearby field. Must be seen to be believed. Guests are treated like family.

Beautiful farm and RV park nestled in the pecan trees beside the river. We stayed 2 nights, wish it was more but we had reservations at another place.Large spaces with deer coming right up to the campground. There are goats and chickens to enjoy, ice and farm fresh eggs delivered right to your door. There is an adorable little farm shop where you can purchase shirts, sweatshirts, local products, DVDs and books to borrow. Brenda the owner goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is enjoyable. Can't wait to stay there again.

We absolutely loved our stay here. With the river close by for fishing and the animals that rom the park our 3 boys didn't want to leave for excursions. The hosts were really helpful getting backed in and took the kids to see and feed the animals. They also feed the deer every afternoon and it makes for a beautiful dinner backdrop. They sell pecans and eggs on site. We got an absolutely beautiful batch of eggs while we were there. Thanks you for the hospitality and we look forward to stopping in again.

    Big Class A site friendly.

Pecan Valley RV Park is a absolute hidden gem. The property history is a great story, it backs up to Llano river and is one of the top five (5) locations to fly fish in Texas. The owners Brenda and Robert are absolutely great, extremely friendly and helpful and yes they sell Candiee Pecans, raw Pecans and farm fresh eggs which we purchased (yummy). If your not able to talk to Brenda or Robert. The current Rv park host Mike can fill you in on all the history of Pecan Valley RV park and the town of Junction, Texas and the surrounding area. The park is very well taken care of. Pet friendly, rv sites are clean with a fire pit and a picnic table in every site. They have Big Class A site with 50/30 amp and sewer ie full hookups. I can go on and on about the Park it's a great place five stars.

There's a small river that crosses through the camp site, but the tides were low and it didn't look like you could kayak or tube in it that weekend. It was nice to watch the ducks swim by though. I like that the campsite includes clean restrooms and showers. Each tent site provides you a bench, trash bin, bbq grill, and fire pit. Unfortunately, there was a burn ban in effect during our stay, so we couldn't light a wood fire. There was plenty of space between us and other campers, so it didn't feel cramped. One thing that could be improved is that the field is pretty rocky. We couldn't seem to find a spot for our tent that wouldn't drive a stone in our backs at night. The camp site offers kayak rentals, but it gets to be quite expensive. Visitors can also use the swimming pool located by the front office. If you're feeling hungry, want to grab a drink, or enjoy some entertainment, right by the entrance is a restaurant bar. They've got live music most nights.

It's more of a camper site with a dry-ish field nearby. I feel that this site just had extra land so it offered some camping grounds but you're basically in people's backyards on both sides, and near a highway so lots of car noise. Maybe there are sites offered deeper where you're not so close to roads and peoples homes. Overall, I still enjoyed my trip, but I would probably only return here if I had an RV Camper. Not the best spot for tent camping.

There is no on-site management for the park. You pull in, select a spot, and then go across the street to the Super 8 Hotel to pay ($50 per night) whereupon they give you the key to unlock your power box. Positives: level concrete pads, new (or very recent) power pedestals, with stable power, good water pressure, sewer dump at each site, a bath house with two full baths with showers, and some coin operated laundry machines. There are no picnic tables at the sites. The park is very well lit at night. There are a few restaurants within walking distance, donut/kolache shop across street, gas stations with easy access are nearby, and a grocery store is down the street if you need to provision up before you depart. We were in site 219 which backed up to the bathhouse, and the WiFi was great, good enough to stream the football game. They appear to have cable hook ups at each site, but we did not try it out for one night. Negatives: The park is VERY well lit at night. This is not a "dark sky" park. The lighting is like an airport runway. Draw your shades or risk sunburn. I knocked off one star mainly because of the price. This is an "overnight stop", and should be perhaps $35-$40 per night. $10 is not going to break me, but come on guys. Reservations are not needed, the park is pretty large, and not full at all. There appeared to be two full time residents there (one a DPS trooper), and all other sites are open. Recommended for what it is: a safe overnight stop within 5 minutes of IH-10 with no unhitching required.

Jamie & B (Bianca) in the front office are friendly & helpful. They gave us easy directions to our spot & gave us plenty of info on things to do at the resort & in the surrounding area. We enjoyed talking to them so much! They were great! We drove across a small bridge in the resort into the Adults Only section & I swear I heard the birds chirping a happy little song welcoming us...lol We looked into the water & my bf said "I wonder if I can fish?! (He could & he did!) We had an end lot in the center. It was a perfect spot w a nice, sturdy metal table & 4 chairs. The area was quiet & peaceful. At night all we could see were stars...and more stars. This is the place to be for stargazing. At the time we still had our 24 ft RV & it fit perfectly. On the outside of the circle in the Adults only area there are huge spaces for larger RV's & motor homes. During our stay we walked up to the office to buy a few things & the prices were actually reasonable compared to other RV resorts we have stayed at. We loved the Adults Only pool & hot tub. We wish more resorts actually thought about the fact that there are a lot of Adults that want to relax at the pool without kids yelling, screaming & splashing them. Some of us are trying to get away for a wknd & relax. At other resorts there are kids running wild everywhere with little to no supervision. If you book here, especially in the Adults Only area, you will actually be able to enjoy a tranquil getaway. You will hear the wind blowing, not kids screaming. Don't worry though, if you're traveling w the Brady bunch you can book one of the many lovely spots in the other section of the resort. There's a pool for everyone that is also very large & nice. There you can enjoy the sounds of your children screaming & splashing with new friends! Speaking of friends, we met some of the most wonderful people on our last trip to Buckhorn Lake. At some RV resorts I have heard /read reviews complaining that long term tenants are unfriendly. Well, we found just the opposite. We met numerous people who stay at Buckhorn for months at a time and they were all so welcoming! One evening we ended up in the front "yard" of an amazing couples spot for hours. They were friends w a bunch of other regulars at the resort also. Our absolute favorite person at this resort has to be Chris! He came into the pool area our first night when we were in the hot tub. He was just making sure everything was turned off (lights) & locked up. There's a code to get into the very clean & nice restrooms. We ended up talking quite awhile. He told us all about the fun events that happen at Buckhorn Lake RV resort. This isn't JUST an RV park. It is truly a resort with plenty to do OR not do. Your choice. My bf had fun fishing in the early morning. (Catch & release) There is a fitness center & game room. They have tennis courts! There is also a really cool outdoor bar area near a big red barn for Happy Hours & Potlucks. They have an awesome theater room where they will soon be having a Super Bowl party. Every wknd they plan activities for their guests. There's no pressure to join but everyone is welcome! Chris takes care of the grounds & even stops by everyone's RV in the mornings to get your trash for you. He has the best personality. He made us want to come back bc he made us feel so welcome. I wish everyone had the kind of positive attitude that he has & loved their job as much as he does. He may never know this but he was a huge reason why our 1st visit to Buckhorn was such an excellent experience. If you ever see this, THANK YOU SO MUCH CHRIS! If you want to enjoy the Hill Country in the Kerrville area there can't possibly be another place that could come close to being as great as Buckhorn Lake RV resort. This is just my opinion though. The fact that we booked 3 more visits in advance the day we checked out is proof enough! This place books up... Apparently we are not the only people that know how great this place is. We visited Buckhorn the first time in September 2022. I decided to wait & visit more RV resorts before posting my review. I can tell you without a doubt that this resort is excellent. In comparison to others in the Hill Country it has more activities & more amenities. It is definitely more beautiful! We have stayed at other great places but there is something special about Buckhorn Lake. Go & find out for yourself! Our next booking is coming up & we can't wait! Btw, I have so many more photos but they are on my old phone. I'll add them ASAP!
