The teachers seems nice when I visited but management is a real pain to deal with, there's absolutely no way to reach them via phone and emails are not responded to promptly. The facilities are not that clean... when my son played around there a bit for the tour his feet were completely black with soot from the dirty floors. In general, for infants I would highly recommend to stay away, it's more expensive and has less hours than my current daycare and costs $100/month more. Infant (1yos) really won't get the benefit of a montessori program, maybe it'll be valuable after 2yo. It's more important for 1yos to be safe and clean.

Madame Edith (owner) runs a tight ship, with a very organized, clean and professional school. Unlike many (most?) daycares, children are given a nice balance of learning, cooperation and play. My son's current teacher has commented on his manners, and his ability to interact in a gentle way with smaller children as well as the older ones. Ms Chao, directress at the Children's House, is also excellent, and took the time to work with my son on many things that he took an interest in. They even have the kids help with food preparation and cleanup. my son always looked forward to going to school, and the Christmas Concert and Multicultural Day were very fun events. They also spend time outdoors virtually every day in the afternoon, which is wonderful for the children. Nothing but good stuff to say about this school, in my experience. Talk to the owner of the daycare a few times before we meet, and it's a bit hectic because spots fill exceptionally fast here, its so close to Nelson Elementary. Prices were very reasonable for before and after school care (I paid twice as much in North Burnaby for for less), and pro-D days are covered (unless there are strike days... Don't get me started). The space is divided between school aged kids on one side, and the younger ones on the other, so the toys and care are different. Huge space, large fenced back play area, support for homework, open and frequent communication... I'm thrilled with this daycare and hope to use it for many years to come.
