My son…read morestarted to tell me about how the older age children (grade 5 and up) pick on him and call him names that really hurt his feelings, on Thursday May 24th,2018 I had to take my son out of the small steps child care center because after explaining to one of the teachers ( very large woman named "Nicole") that my son was still experiencing bullying at the center from older children and name calling, Nicole looked my in my face infront of other teaches and children (including my own child) and said " Yeah well you child is annoying soooo...." The fact that a childcare worker could condones bullying because my child "is annoying "according to Nicole and the fact that she had said that about a child she is being paid to care about was absolutely disgusting to me and I really think she should have been fired, but she's was not. This is the kind of "care" my child received at small steps maple ridge , British Columbia.

My son has been attending Newlook Day Care since June of 2013, and words can not describe how much…read morehe has thrived here. My son barely spoke before he went to the Daycare and now at just 3 and a half years old he is writing his whole alphabet, his name and some 3 letter words. He can also write quite a few numbers and can count to 120. He has also recently began to read Level 1 books. Neeru has worked miracles with my boy and I am so impressed with the care and attention he has received. All the children are so happy every time we pick him up and are clearly having the time of their lives! Neeru has been a God-send to us and I can honestly say we care about her as if she was part of our family. Her care and careful attention for all the children at her daycare has really helped each child improve on everything from speech to fine motor skills. The lessons my son has learned from Neeru are ones that he will have with him for the rest of his life, and we are so thankful to have found Newlook Daycare. My son has had a wonderful learning experience from simple socialization skills to a more complex skills in writing and reading. Neeru is very hands on with children when it comes to learning. She also offer great art projects, time outside, as well as beginning academics to help the kids get introduced to school. This is why I can't thank her enough for preparing my son for Kindergarten. Also, Newlook Day Care is more than a daycare; it is a FAMILY. Neeru has always been supportive and she always finds a way to help you in any way she can.
