My 88y/o mother fell and had to be hospitalized then put in a nursing home for rehab. As a family,…read morewe had never gone through any of this and were totally at the mercy of winging it with best intention. When they asked us to pick a nursing home we had no point of reference. We chose the one closest and it happened to be Oasis. They provided her with not only proper but caring care. The nurses are sweet, patient and most are bilingual. She fell while there and they called us immediately, every time. Their social worker worked with us even on the weekend to ensure her discharge process was proper with the right at home care after discharge. My mom leven liked their food. Nursing homes are scary. But Oasis, worked well for us and if you are a family with no notion on what to do, this is definitely a safe bet.

To begin with, the morning receptionist was rarely at her desk and was consistently rude on the phone--when she answered at all. On multiple occasions, I was either hung up on or placed on hold without any greeting. I also had to wait outside in the cold for over 15 minutes until someone from the kitchen finally opened the door. There is also an afternoon nurse named Lourdes who was disrespectful toward both families and residents. I observed her frequently on her phone at the nurses' station while call lights were going unanswered. Additionally, I witnessed a member of HR speaking to employees in a very condescending and unprofessional manner in the hallway. I was informed that this individual is training for an administrator role, which is concerning given the level of professionalism demonstrated. I also found their appearance and attire to be inappropriate for a healthcare setting. That said, I do want to acknowledge that some of the afternoon staff were excellent. They appeared to work well together and demonstrated a strong sense of teamwork, which I appreciated. I also question the accuracy of the five-star reviews, as my experience was completely inconsistent with them. When concerns are raised, you are directed to customer service, but the issues do not appear to be addressed. I also noticed visible structural issues in the building that raised serious concerns about safety and maintenance. Given the seriousness of these concerns and the lack of meaningful response, I am considering bringing this matter to local news stations to raise awareness and ensure accountability. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and I would not recommend this facility to anyone seeking quality care for a loved one.

No matter how early I posted payment or if I was financially stressed and asked for and received an extension, she would call and use unnecessary language-- profanity-- and tone. It was uncalled for and unproffessional !!! She threatened to get her sister when I was requesting a receipt on officializing that the car was no longer in my possession. I asked because buying the car she was nice but since having it she has been so rude. Dropping the car off she didn't even allow for me, as a customer, to come in and drop off the keys. She came out with a nasty look on her face and took the keys. Being an adult, I simply went in to wait for her. Waiting inside, I asked the other worker inside first for the receipt and she as immediately gave attitude but more respectfully asked for my name so she could pull up records. Finally, when the original worker came in, I asked for the receipt. She was yelling from the first word that left her mouth and eventually told me to get out. No matter how civil and professional I tried to be, she for some reason, as the representative of a business, could not be civil and acted nowhere near professional. All in all, it was upsetting and truly just made the business look worse. I post to inform anyone looking for a car. Please reconsider buying this place. If you want a car, then them selling to you is easy. But what follows will not be. From my experience, it was nowhere near good or okay.

So a couple things I learned about this place: it used to be known as University Behavioral Health…read more(UBH) and you can see the awe-striking El Paso star on the mountain. I've also learned that mental health is not my forte for patient care and I highly appreciate all the nurses and staff here who are able to take on all the patients who come through here. The first day of clinicals, my group and I were waiting on our instructor and there was a very aggressive man who was banging on the glass doors and yelling at the staff. He was demanding to see someone who was admitted there. We were all pretty shaken up from that but at the same time, we knew he very much needed help there too. He was checked into inpatient that same day and within hours after the staff was able to de-escalate the situation. I was surprised that they allowed him into the building with all the students and other visitors still in the lobby as he was clearly a danger to all of us. There is a great arrangement of areas that best suit the needs for patients. There was one for Veterans, Geriatric, Children and Adolescents, an older group of teenagers separating boys and girls, and much more. I was thoroughly impressed. I was also appreciative of the the vast knowledge and skills I was able to learn from the different nurses and some of which I owe it to who have helped me get past my fear of outbursts like the one I witnessed the first day. Each floor has a well kept day room for the patients to congregate and eat their meals together. Some of the areas were very disorganized and sometimes certain needed supplies weren't available. I believe overall, the establishment is very critical for El Paso and I'm thankful for the staff and their willingness to show the most compassion for patients here.

She asked me why I had come to the Emergency room. I explained the problem with my glucose level and the number of insulin pumps that I had gone through in 24 hours. The Doctor said she would be back. When the Doctor returned, she told me that there was nobody in the Emergency room who dealt with diabetes or insulin pumps. I asked what about the rest of the hospital, I was told that they have all gone home for the weekend. She said she was going to arrange for me to be discharged. I was upset, so I placed a call to the hospital administration, and was told that they would look into it. Shortly after the call, a Nurse Practitioner came to see me. She checked out my Insulin pump controller and went to make a phone call to my Diabetes Doctor, who's office was closed for the weekend. She eventually spoke to a Diabetes Doctor she knew. The Nurse Practitioner returned, telling me that my insulin pump was malfunctioning. I was told about the diet I should eat over the weekend, until I could get in contact with my Diabetes Doctor on Monday. I was eventually discharged from the hospital, without any help for the large swings in my glucose levels and no means to administer insulin. I should have been admitted over the weekend to get my glucose levels under control. Basically, the Emergency Room Dr. Ponce de Leon and the Nurse Practitioner left me in a very dangerous situation.

Was visiting family in Las Cruces from back east and unexpectedly spent 5 hours here on a Thursday…read more My sister was experiencing tightness in her chest, fatigue and dizziness. I had never been here before. When we arrived it looked like a fairly typical urgent care, with the usual small-ish waiting room, with about 8 people waiting and with a television playing something borderline inappropriate and way too loud. At check in, as soon as they heard my sister's symptoms, they brought her back into a room and brought in an eKG machine. Then they took her to another room for a chest x-ray. Then they allowed me back with her as they took her to a room that looked like a hospital room. They got her on heart and b/p monitors, drew blood, put her on IV fluids and we waited for test results. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Later they did a CT Scan. I was impressed by the capabilities of this facility. The staff members were excellent. Everyone was competent and kind. Of course waiting for test results is always annoying and the time ticks by slowly, but if you have to endure that kind of thing, this was a decent place to do it. In any event, happily all her tests were negative for a heart event. The doctor made clear recommendations for follow up tests for her with a cardiologist. And they sent us on our way. I would not wish upon anyone our experience, but Mountain View made it better than it might otherwise have been, and for that I am grateful.

I also had to wait over an hour for my results when I know strep results only take 15 mins. I went the next day to a different urgent care and sure enough I was strep positive. Had I not gotten a second opinion it could have led to something worse. I was also given an antibiotic for once a day at three days. It was the lowest form to be effective for strep. I was just given this medicine as a hush hush and leave and don't ask questions.
