When she explained she is a woman, staff replied, "I believe you, but others are still uncomfortable." Instead of standing up against discrimination, they enforced it. This is blatant prejudice. It sends the message that appearance determines where someone "belongs," rather than their actual gender. If a short-haired woman is denied access to the women's locker room, what does that say about how they would treat a transgender woman? Staff and management at this location had the opportunity to protect a paying member's dignity and legal right to use the locker room consistent with her gender -- and they failed. Until this policy and behavior change, I urge everyone to take their business elsewhere.

Julie has the patience of a saint while also still moving your child towards the goal...surviving in the water on their own if God forbid, the need should ever arise. She keeps the schedule running on time, knows each kid by name, and what works and doesn't work for them. That's impressive considering how many kids she works with in just a single day! She's always kind and always willing to snuggle my kiddo when they're just not into swimming that day. She's never forceful or pushy and goes by my kid's cues. When I addressed the situation, she blamed my son and said that he would never learn how to swim and that he was unteachable, so I took him out of that school.
