I've had them less than a year and can hardly see out of them because of the scratches! It's like they substiuted with the cheap plastic. lenses I've since gone to a different optomotrist and they remarked that it looked as if I'd used steel wool to clean them, which of course I hadn't. I've worn eyeglasses for decades and never have I experienced such awful lenses. I certainly won't return here.

Dr. Metzler has chosen to come back from retirement, this time to Perry Optical, and it honestly shows he does this because enjoys his work and cares about his patients. Everyone at Perry Optical is extremely nice and also patient with clients of all needs, children and adults alike. The waiting room even has free snacks and a corner with activities for the little ones. Dr. Metzler is patient and kind and never rushes his clients through the exam. He explains everything and answers any questions you might have. It's just all around a five star experience.

The place where I got the glasses did eye exam and found it was way different. Called Northern Optics to see if they would cover the cost of the correct lenses and they refused even though they screwed up my prescription. Had to buy new lenses from the other optical place plus the eye exam then Northern sends me a bill for $40 for some fictional reason. I refuse to pay it. They are sending it to collections. I had an appointment at 2:30PM, showed up 15 minutes early and still had to wait 45 minutes until they were ready. Then the appointment itself took way too long because the staff and doctor kept leaving the room to help another customer with their appointment...I know I'm not the only customer but I was in the middle of reading letters off of the screen when they had me pause so they could go help someone else. I don't think it's selfish of me to expect them to stay in the room for at least 15 minutes to complete one simple test. Even though Dr. Braun is extremely nice and friendly, his staff lacks in the customer service department. Many times I have walked into their office with questions regarding payment, ordering contacts, scheduling appointments, etc. and have been answered with condescending attitude and very little help. Their hours are not conducive for a person who works a 9-5:30 job every single day. They close at either 4pm or 5pm (6pm on Wednesdays), close for lunch and are not open on the weekends. Their times are just not customer friendly. Not everyone has the availability to stroll in at 3pm on a Tuesday. If you are looking for a reliable optometry office I unfortunately would not recommend this business.

I have corrected them on this my last three visits and still a prescription was sent to wrong pharmacy. Fortunately I was able to get the prescription transferred to my pharmacy and filled in time for when I had to start using it before my eye surgery!! Very frustrating.

I had a really strange experience here. I only booked here because it's one of the few places in…read morethe area that accepts Davis Vision and I'll be trying somewhere else next time. I wouldn't say the receptionist I checked in with was rude, but she wasn't friendly either - just kind of going through the motions. Waiting room area is nice and I only waited a few minutes. The tech that did the pre-testing was friendly and did as thorough a job as I've had done anywhere else. Then she had me go in the exam room. The chair was in very bad condition with peeling vinyl and flaking foam. And then I find out I won't actually be seeing a doctor in person, it will be a virtual visit where I speak to the doctor on a screen and the exam is done remotely. This was never disclosed to me before this point and I would not have made this appointment if I had known that. I'm already there so I went through with the exam. I was given a set of contacts to try and immediately knew they were not right. After much arguing and being told I was wrong, I finally got a different strength in the eye that was the worse of the two, but they still weren't even close to right. Instead of figuring it out right then, I was told I would need to wear them for a week to get used to them and then come back. Getting annoyed at this point, I left and called back the next day to book a follow up...of which they had no openings for another several weeks. So I went way too long in a contact prescription that was incorrect and giving me headaches daily. I finally get back for the follow up and wait for over an hour in the waiting room. When I was called back the tech did a quick check and determined in a matter of moments that yes, the contacts I was given were all wrong and I would need to do another virtual exam. So I re-did that whole process and got a prescription that was better but still not quite right. Fed up at this point, I took it and left. I glanced at glasses frames but they were insanely overpriced, and I ordered my contacts elsewhere as I was done giving this place any of my business. Had I not already exhausted my insurance benefit, I would have gone somewhere else for another exam. I noticed when I was in the waiting room that I was the youngest person there, by several decades. It is in my opinion that this place caters to elderly folk who have more issues and thus will spend more money there. From my own experience and what I observed, it seems as though they are perhaps most concerned with maximizing profit at the expense of a quality product.
