I thought I had ordered contacts Dec 1. They make sure you pay for them up front. Fast forward to Dec 13 when I called to check on the status of them. Someone said I owed more money than originally quoted. I had no problem paying again right over the phone. A few more weeks go by and I call again to check on the status because I had some out of state appointments and holidays coming up and only a few more days of contacts left at this point. I couldn't speak to anyone other than the receptionist who knew nothing other than that they weren't there. This goes on for several more days of me calling every day to see if they got their shipment in. Finally this past week after a month I get to talk to a technician who informed me my contacts weren't ordered until 2 weeks after I originally thought because "they didn't have full payment"- of which I wouldn't have had any idea had I not called to check on them. Someone messed up. I ask to speak to the clinic manager who supposedly is conviently never around both Oswego and Watertown offices when I've called every day. It's been one month and one week. I've long past ran out of contacts with no trial lenses offered to get me through (this unfortunately is not the first time! But now it makes more sense why I'm running out), no answers on where my contacts are exactly except they've "shipped" and every time I get promises of a call back or a follow up it's silence on their end. They said they cannot refund my money but only give me office credit but after I see how they DON'T value their customers, I don't want to order anything else from them. Something very fishy is going on. It's almost like they are covering something up by avoiding to speak to me. And I'm stuck in a place where I don't even know if there is anyone above the manager to even contact. I've given this company enough chances and enough of my time and money. It's a shame because Dr Baker is a very skilled, reliable, and down to earth optometrist. It's just unfortunate that the Watertown office staff don't share the same professionalism, honesty, and empathy as him. read more
