After talking with my opthalmologist at Wolfe eye clinic, they determined it was a wrong prescription on one lens. The attendant at vision for less told me there was no wrong prescription, and that Wolfe eye clinic was wrong. I asked how to explain the headahes and double vision dizziness. She told me I could go somewhere else if I don't like the service. Deborah Maier is the employees name. No professionalism require for the glasses attended at Vision for less. Never have I been so insulted. I returned my glasses and will never give them a referral or go back for thier service. I will in fact warn my friends and colleagues at ISU not to use this business. We found frames we liked at several of the name brand stores around Ames. You know what convinced us to work with Eye Mart? The friendliest, most helpful, most quality and service conscious group people people I have seen. The selection of frames is great, the prices are fair, and the delivered glasses were just fine. But the ladies who helped us were the best in the retail industry. I wish I could remember the name of the young lady who primarily took care of us... blond, ponytail, works part-time (we always came in on Saturdays)... and I would name her her, but she is awesome. I felt they had a great selection of glasses available, and I definitely felt like the value for your money was much better than I've seen in other optical stores. The optician was knowledgeable and professional without being stuffy. He described everything he was doing and why as we went through the eye exam process, and was friendly and courteous, as well. The entire staff, in fact were quite friendly, courteous and helpful. The optician who helped me went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure that my insurance would be applied before I lost it, making multiple phone calls to do so. I will definitely go back, and recommend this store to others. As far as the other reviews, note that one is over a year old, the other eight years old. I suspect there have been some staffing changes since these were written.
