With new bars opening around noise issues every night until 2AM from Wed-Sun have become a real issue. Currently, one of the elevators has been not working for a few weeks, currently making loud horrible sounds and feeling very unsafe. As well one of the doors for the parking garage is broken. If I could give living here 0 stars I would. If you like constant gnats, roaches, and beetles while staying at a "luxury" apartment this will be the apartment for you. If you also like terrible new management who wrongfully try to file eviction on you when they make you sign 2 leases due to a "system" error and now are charging you legal fees and messing up your rental history, this is the place for you. If you like dealing with rude and entitled management staff that constantly talk over you, LIE, and call you aggressive like Gisela welcome to your new home. If you like your rent raising up by $300 this is the apartment for you. I will NEVER recommend anyone to move here. Constant road noises and loud music from new bar due windows not being fully sealed, the list goes on... Old management was 10x better, the upkeep of this apartment now is terrible. I've attached pictures of the roaches in the lights, and me having to attach tape to the window to stop gnats from coming in. Just moved in a couple days ago, but it's already one of the best apartments I've ever lived in. The staff is extremely kind and receptive. They had great food recommendations for me and my girlfriend, which was a nice touch. The apartment itself is absolutely fire too. It's all extremely new and has awesome features. I have lived at Pearl at the Mix for two years now. Any maintenance requests get worked quickly and efficiently. The staff are all super nice. They continually keep the building clean. The garage doors are quick open for easy access and are secure. The gyms and pool are also really nice! Outside of Covid, they try to have community events to get to know your neighbors and the surrounding area. During covid they've turned these events into food truck days which are always nice. Highly suggest this place if you are looking to live in midtown. Close to bars, the rail, restaurants, and highways! read more

I must start with the exceptional service the staff has displayed as well as the manager Jessica Larson. I've only been apart of this community for maybe 3 weeks now and the move in process to the settling process has been extremely smooth and pleasant. This is a 5 star community at its best. Very secure location along with updates that keep you abreast of everything going on around the community. Everyone here is super friendly and safe. Mask must be worn in all public areas including the elevators which is extremely important in regards to our current pandemic covid-19. I would recommend this Pearl location to anyone. Especially with the location being in midtown and minutes away from the heights (Washington Ave). If you're considering moving to midtown I would definitely give this place a visit before making any final decisions. Take it from me, it took me 4 months to make a final decision between 4 communities and I know I've made the right decision by choosing Pearl @ the Mix as my community of choice. Generally speaking the facility is nice. If you don't mind putting up with one of the 2 elevators constantly out of service, the garage doors being broken regularly, frequent power spikes/sags, having your car broken into while in the parked garage, and the office management being unable to fix any of these issues...... Then the place has my vote. That said, after moving out and getting the last bill I was surprised to hear a collection department call me 3 months later! All other bills were signed up for autopay and required no oversight on my part. Apparently the the company chose not to utilize the approved auto payment method and, with not a phone call, email, or warning, turned over the 200$ debt (for cleaning service?) to a collection agency! this was promptly paid once I had verified that the collection was not a scam..... The response from Pear was "We sent notification and an email"........ One. They sent ONE notification which I had assumed they would use the normal method of automatic payment for (they did not) then happily waited 3 months without a SINGLE LETTER OR EMAIL to had it to their friends at collection. I have never had a collection agency call me for anything in my life! Thank you Pear at the Mix for that special first. I am lucky that I didn't screen the call from the collector and get stuck with a permanent credit hit for something so stupid as a cleaning fee. Peal needs to get their act together, fix their buildings, and improve their customer communication system ASAP read more

My boyfriend and I moved in here about a month ago now and this place is incredible. The quality of finishings, appliances, and hardware in the apartment is top notch. They forgot to put a towel hook in the bathroom and came by the next day after we requested one casually to the leasing agents downstairs. Any of the few maintenance requests we have had or seen in the complex have been fixed very quickly, quietly, and well done. The amenities are gorgeous. They are far better looking than any of the other places we visited. We face the pool and it looks like a high end las vegas pool! Beautiful lights and fountains. The landscaping around it looks fantastic and the cabanas are a major major plus. The grills are huge and lots of counter space for cooking and prep. Oh and don't forget the 4 flat screen big TVs all around the pool for game day. Yes please!!!!!! The fitness center is two stories and everything is state of the art and brand new. They spared no expense. Best for last: the staff. The leasing office and agents are amazing. you could not ask for a better group. Brooke originally showed me around and then Taylor sealed the deal when he showed my boyfriend around the place. They are passionate about their jobs and residents and just great people. You will almost always find a resident or two downstairs just stopping by to say hello. They are ROCKSTARS and handle any request or question quickly and effortlessly. There are fantastic move in deals right now. We are so lucky we found this place! Even the neighbors are all great. DONT PASS THIS PLACE UP! Take the time for a tour with any of the three agents downstairs and you will not regret it!!! read more

I have been a tenant at the Pearl at The Mix for quite some time now. I actually really like my unit and was very impressed with the management when I first leased. Tyler and Angela were amazing. A lot of the good things that the other folks have reviewed on here are accurate. So let me first explain that I am a fan of the Pearl at the Mix BUT I feel that upper management is more concerned with numbers and dollars more than keeping great tenants. There are some real big issues that need to be addressed and until those are resolved then I feel that they are a little overpriced. In fact, I have seen a lot of turnover just in the past year. A lot of my current neighbors are new. So let me describe a couple of major issues: Problem 1. Lower garage floods during heavy downpours. We are talking about waist-level water. Car-totaling levels. And this has happened twice in the past year, and not just during Harvey but also during one overnight downpour months earlier. They have a gate that raises but it is still unable to keep water out. According to them it is the city's fault. It doesn't really matter because when this happens, both elevators that go into Garage P2 get flooded and go out of commission for weeks (we shall go back to this problem in a bit). It also means that if another hurricane comes, then parking on Garage P1 becomes ridiculously packed. Consider yourself lucky if you get a spot. Problem 2. The elevators have been consistently inconsistent. I have already mentioned how the elevators are rendered unusable during flooding, however, the elevators have been consistently going out of order even without any flooding. This is especially true with the freight elevator. When you complain about the fact that the elevator keeps getting stuck, or the doors don't work properly, or the fob sensor doesn't work correctly. The only answer you will get is that, the elevator company has been informed. So choose a lower floor unless you are fine lugging your groceries up the stairs for up to several weeks if we get another flooding. These may or may not be problems for you, but The Pearl at the Mix is a new construction. I chose to lease here because I was expecting a certain level of excellence. There are other problems that when collected just make it not such a great value proposition. Like how it took more than two weeks for the lower garage door to be fixed. Stairwell access problems. Equipment and TV at the gym having AV issues. One thing that I consider a big inconvenience is the fact that there is no way to remotely grant access to visitors. Hold on to your fob because you're traped without it. The upside is that it's great for security purposes. The area in the back of the building is a bit of dump though. The road there is just bad and floods easily. Now that I have mentioned some of the undesirables. Let me mention things that I like. The floor plans rock. Interior finishes are beautiful Maintenance people are friendly and amazing. Direct management is great. I love Angela and I miss Tyler. The gym is not too bad, yes there was a time when fruit flies seemed to be all over the gym, but otherwise it's been ok. The pool is nice and gets pretty packed during the summer. Neighbors are friendly. Location is great. Whether it's Simply Pho, Chipotle, or Jin-ya Ramen, it's very close to most every place you would want to go to. The apartment hosts nice social mixers. I like the fact that The Pearl at the Mix is a small community so you feel like you're part of a family really. So you can see from my review that it's not that it's a horrible place to live in, it's more the fact that with such high pricing, you expect a certain level of excellence. Initially, I was fine with my rent but with the problems I mentioned, I feel that they should have made some adjustments to my rent instead of raising the lease upon renewal. read more

We've lived here for a little over a year. Jessica and Angela are amazing! The reason I'm giving 2 stars is because Jessica Larson made our stay here great! She is an awesome manager and has a wonderful personality. She goes the extra mile. However, there was a change in the office staff and they don't gel with the community. They hardly say "hi" and are not very helpful. We immediately saw the whole scene change. We live by the pool and it's like Spring Break every weekend. It has never been like this. The office was vandalized and the halls smell like marijuana. This was not the case before. I'm glad we are moving out. You can find luxury apartments for the same price and you don't feel like you're in the hood. Skip this place!!! read more

I've lived at Pearl for almost 5 years and the best part about this place is the location. It's great to be able to walk everywhere to eat, drink, and club, it's alright here. Maintenance is great. You have a problem and they'll fix it. Previous front offices have been good. I'm not sure about the current front office as I don't really mingle with them much. During the freeze they did all they could which was very nice but during flooding it's a different story. During Harvey I parked in a wrong spot so my car would be in the higher garage. I got a call from Gloria insulting me and threatening to tow my car. Dumb me gave into the threats and I moved my car to lower garage which then ended up flooding and totalling in my car. Ever since then I started parking in the upper garage but it's very disappointing they haven't learned since then. In the app they still send messages threatening people during heavy rains to move their car so they don't block anyone in. I'd rather someone be late to work then someone else's car getting totaled. It has flooded in the lower garage since Harvey and I've heard people have gotten their cars totaled. I also find a hypocritical how they're not very understanding in these times but they expect you to be understanding when it takes them forever to fix something like the elevator or the garage door that's been broken for months now. Maybe it's because I'm a veteran and I know what to avoid but this place is alright. read more

I have only lived at Pearl at the Mix for a month & couldn't say anything but great things. The office staff is always around, there's always someone to speak to when you have questions or need help. The maintenance guys are wonderful and are so friendly. I had an electrical issue with a loose wire & called the emergency number at 8pm. Many places would not consider this an emergency but the maintenance man was in my apartment & had the issue resolved within 30 mins. Outside of the great staff, the environment of the complex is great. Everyone is so friendly, the pool is a great time on the weekends, and it's a very pro dog complex. I was nervous as there isn't a specified dog area to walk my dog but it hasn't been an issue as there's plenty of places to walk around the building. Like I previously mentioned, the place is great. If you're looking for a new place to live, you should tour here & see if you think it would be a good fit! read more

Pearl at the Mix is an absolutely fantastic place to call home. Having lived here for 2 years, I have found the staff to be more than helpful and friendly. They have always gone above and beyond to make me feel like part of the Pearl "family". Everything is always clean and well maintained...feels as new as the day I moved in! From Angela/AJ and all of the management....to the maintenance team, they are very professional and passionate about what they do. I was unable to visit the complex before moving in since I was moving across the country, but the staff was beyond amazing with making me feel comfortable about my decision. Since my move-in it has honestly been better than expected. Tyler, Brooke and Angela are such a great staff. They are so friendly and caring which is something I have not experienced from a complex's staff before. The apartment itself is all top of the line (love the built in blue tooth speakers) and the 2 floor gym is state of the art. The pool area has huge cabanas w/ TVs and also a large grilling area. All of the residents are super welcoming and it really feels like a community. I would recommend the Pearl At The Mix to anyone moving to Houston. If you take the time to come stop by the leasing office to talk to the staff and take the tour, there is no way you will want to live anywhere else! read more
