Yes, that means you sometimes have to wait a bit (it's never empty) but why be in a hurry when there's so many delicious goodies to browse. There's some fantastic cheeses and chutnies and jams and crackers but there's also some amazing scotch eggs, cheese and bacon bombs and quiches etc. This is one of my favourite cheese shops in the whole country so if you're in Sidmouth you simply must try it!

Force yourself further in and you will see great big pieces of procuttio, Palma hams, great cheeses uncut yet. There are olives and corns to taste, and when you realise it would be polite to stop doing that, notice the wines, the speciality biscuits, the couscous etc that fills many shelves. Pickles, dried chillies, spices, herbs, sauces, dressings, vinegars, jams, jellies. Then as you turn around you notice the fresh salads under the counter too. Some work colleagues told me about and i've been going back for special occasions ever since. They have a great selection of meats and the most gorgeous cheeses including yummy Welsh varieties as well as traditional Italian. OH and the freshly made cakes and bread, its just too good. Andre will helpfully suggest how to make the most of the ingredients and give you little tasters. It really does remind me of being back in Italy everytime I go.
