I was recently in this shop looking for dresses for my bridesmaids. We all agreed that we would not…read morerecommend this shop. There was a good selection of dresses in the shop but the reason I would not recommend it is because of the sales assistant. From the moment we walked into the shop she was pushy, opinionated and often insulting, I don't understand how they expect to do business when someone treats potential customers this way! When we arrived we said the colours and styles we were interested in but she immediately turned her nose up to our ideas and tried to convince us to pick something else. There was only one changing room for the girls to try dresses on and she reminded us on two occasions that we would have to finish up within the hour (not ideal with just one fitting room!). When we enquired about getting measurements she informed us that it would be 20 euro to keep the measurements on file, I would assume this is a ploy to get customers to come back and place orders with them but it worked in the opposite way for me - i bought the dresses in a lovely bridal shop in Galway, where the shop owner was friendly, helpful and open to our ideas about colors etc in addition to this ivory lane quoted me a higher price for the exact same dresses. Overall I'd say ivory lane has a nice collection but ridiculous policies and rude staff.

Ended up being 6 months due to the lack of care or follow up from the shop. I called the shop to find out what the delay was as I don't live near it. The phone always rang out and emails were never responded to in the first instance but yet they had time to update their Facebook page! Eventually when I did get through I was given the excuse of 'we are concentrating on the brides who are getting married sooner' basically telling me we have your money now and we will deal with you closer to the time. They also used personal circumstances for another excuse as to why the order was delayed. In the end I had to contact the supplier and follow up with them. I will also be lodging an official complaint with the supplier because if I was the supplier I most certainly wouldn't want this shop to represent my brand. Over all in my experience, appalling customer service, extremely unprofessional and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

When my friend informed me that there was a new vintage shop opened in temple bar I was hesitant to even check it out as at this stage they have all become quite samey to me and sometimes the things are really not worth the expense they will incur on your purse!! Well I was pleasantly surprised as this store has something for all and prices for all!! I was out to spend money that day but I didn't feel like blowing €100 on a "Vintage" dress. When I walked in I seen that this place was HUGE and divided into section as with the site itself. I am quite rock chic at the best of times and the Vintage frocks that are sold at most of these places do not suit me as I am 5ft 1 and "Curvy" and therefore cannot pull off the length or print of most of these dresses. I was so happy to see they had a little rock section with gorgeous cut sleeve dress/tops and really rock chic jewelry. They have there formal boutique that has stunning dresses out back and there amazing home section. If nothing else I would say check the place out even for a window shop. It really does have something for all!!!

I did ring her immediately upon discovering this to return the dress. The phone rang out and so I left a message, this was a Saturday, I left another message on Tuesday as she did not return my call (they close on Mondays). A long boring story short, she gave me two possibilities of who the designer was. I rang her again to say I wasn't happy to wear the dress and could I return it as I felt that it was like having a counterfeit/soiled dress. She was quiet rude on the phone and hung up on me. No customer service to speak of. Now if you look at the Sale of Goods and Supply of Services act, you will not that if there is so much as a button missing off an item of clothing you are entitled to return it.In this case the tag had been very deliberately cut out (I emailed the designer in question and confirmed that these dresses do come with a tag). I would get over purchasing the dress on sale and at a reasonable price (if it was left intact) and not receiving a refund. But I have never in all my years shopping ever experienced anyone so rude in dealing with a customer complaint (that is including every shopping experience from the very small to the very large, and every price range from the very affordable to luxury items). In today's climate,customer service is key.This store does not have any standard of customer service worth noting. If you are on a small budget, I would find the dress you like and source a sample elsewhere. Even purchasing on ebay with paypal comes with buyer protection. The seller knew the tags were cut out and should have mentioned it. I am guessing she knew this would make the dress far less attractive.
