The food is plentiful, given this is a buffet, and tasty but bland. The fried chicken was perfectly cooked and the batter was light but could have used more seasoning. The fried okra also was excellent, crisp and fresh. Other sides, green beans, limas, rutabegas, well cooked but again, fairly bland. The salad bar was very basic. Coleslaw was minced cabbage and a sweet dressing. Interesting. Price was very reasonable given that you could go back again and again. Lots of desserts including a homemade maple pecan cake. The blueberry cobbler had a kind of almost toffee-like oatmeal topping that threw me for a bit of a loop. I didn't try any of the other main courses except the salmon croquette which was decent. Oh, the jalapeno cornbread was interesting and tasty enough to eat more than one piece. So, kind of a typical "meat and three" type buffet. read more

Ordered a Chicken Salad sandwich with a side of Dill Potato Salad Sandwich LOOKED pretty - then I bit into the sandwich. While it was flavourful, there was liquid DRIPPING as if someone had watered down the mayo or sour cream or whatever they used as the dressing. Regarding the Dill Potato Salad - Some of the potato slices were underdone. Did not see any dill but If there was any dill in the salad, it was buried by the red onions. Onion, when it isn't the headliner, is supposed to enhance NOT overwhelm. I would give Peachtree another shot based on their desserts alone (which I have sampled and are delicious) but I wouldn't order this dish again. read more

Dry chewy chicken. Potato salad tastes like lemon salad. The ranch tastes sour. The cream corn was good. Servers are nice.

We needed lunch and did not know the area. Hunger, and a packed parking lot,was enough to bring us in. Oh my, what a delight. Lunch was a southern buffet. Fried chicken, cat fish, braised chicken, corn on the cob, greens, 2 types of corn muffins, biscuits, salad, Cole slaw, and dessert choices, including REAL lemon meringue pie. It was all fresh, tasty, not salty. I will certainly come again and can recommend this place for lunch, without hesitation. read more

This place possess some of the best Southern food I've eaten outside of my Mama and Grandmama's kitchen. The southern hospitality of the waiting staff oozes from the ways. It is buffet style, so evening is pretty much self-serve. My favorites are the fried fish and peach cobbler, which are both expertly done. I likely my fish fried hard and not soft, and they do it to ultimate perfection. I like my peach cobbler with a substantive amount of crust, and, again, here they knock the ball out of the park. I recommend it for those traveling through or visiting Thomaston who desire to have true, authentic Southern delicacies in a true, authentic Southern setting. read more

Whenever I am in a new environment, I always like to find out where the local folk eat, and everytime I talk to someone in Thomaston they talk about the Peachtree Cafe. The Peachtree Cafe is a family restaurant that has been run by a family for years and now the son runs the business. It was a surprise, I was not sure what to expect, but the food was good and honest. We are glad that we made the trip. I liked the turnip greens and the fried chicken. I'm from PA and went here due to the Yelp ratings. It's all buffet. Fried chicken was overcooked and greasy. Fried okra was tepid, all the vegetables - greens, black eyed peas, green beans were cooked with pork. They had a Lemon pepper chicken slightly over salted but tasty. Cole slaw was finely minced, good carrot salad, fresh sliced tomatoes, good broccoli-onion- cheddar cheese salad. They had 4 selections for breads corn muffins, biscuits (2 kinds) and a third one with cheese. Pork ribs, meat loaf and sausage were also on the buffet. At least 7 dessert selections - coconut cream pie, lemon meringue pie, chocolate cream pie, brownies, strawberry cream pie, pumpkin pie, warm peach cobbler. The ribs ran out and were replaced with the meatloaf. Tuesday's is macaroni and cheese night and on this Monday night a server doled out fried green tomatoes. May have been more selections I missed. In all it was an ok buffet meal for $10 pp, including drinks. All the staff was kind, polite and attentive. read more

Food is GREAT Southern cooking! Décor leaves much to be desired! Typical little country café, needs updated badly.....but THE FOOD! For $10 plus tip you get all you can eat buffet and dessert, salad and drink. Can't beat it! Friendly- courteous servers look after your every need! Tuesdays they make great macncheese. Get there early. They do run out!... Love it. Always two kinds of chicken, and other meats to choose from. The greens are fabulous. I always get okra as I don't ever make it. I never hv room for desert. There's always a lot of sweets to choose from. You'll enjoy the food. Could use a face lift and it would be perfect! read more

We finally found a restaurant that serves real home cooking. Too bad we live out of town. Everything was delicious. The cut up tomatoes and onions brought back child hood memories. We love this place and if we are ever in Thomaston again we will definitely eat here. read more

Great country buffet. No frills, just simple good food. Very small restaurant owned by great southern people. Definitely not canned veggies being served here. Desserts are delicious.
