In addition to being a floral boutique and nursery, it can also be used as a fantastic location for a party or even a wedding. There are a vast number of hidden little seating areas / meditation spots, each of which is surrounded by a variety of gorgeous flowers. There is a beautifully designed covered pavilion which is surrounded by gorgeous floral gardens with a vast array of different flowers. This place is a truly hidden Gem. Everyone was completely blown away by how beautiful the grounds were. My hats off to the owners for creating such a wonderful oasis.

The staff are friendly, but sometimes a little pushy into getting you to buy something you're not specifically looking for. Today I went to purchase a plant I've had my eyes on but wasn't 100% sure until now that I wanted it. The staff have to be used to seeing me so I was kinda insulted when a man I spoke with before asked if I paid for the plant I literally just walked out of the building from paying for. I found that offensive a bit, But otherwise I enjoy shopping here mainly due to the selection they offer.

Excellent social distancing. And btw, the plants arre wonderful. We just filled our porch planters with a variety og grasses, ferns, green perennials, and flowering pkants. Was trying to purchase a flowering crabapple and have it installed. The person at the check-out…read moretold me that she was really only helping out and really didn't know much about anything except for taking people's money. The person to whom I was passed onto for help was no better. The computer pricing system was malfunctioning. (Every time I have been there in the last 2 years Wheatfield's computer system has had some malfunction issues.) After repeated attempts to figure out the pricing, another "staff" person told my "helper" that the scanning "book" where the prices were supposed to be was wrong! That "staff" person then advised that my "helper" had to somehow manually figure out what to charge by typing in various similar products to determine costs. Then the "staff" person simply walked away. After a period of time, my "helper" somehow arrived at a price that was totally outlandish and not at all reasonable. It was obvious that my "helper" must have simply guessed or interpolated incorrectly. In any event, his lack of knowledge and inability to help me plus the fact that the vanished "staff" person acknowledged that the prices were not to be relied upon plus the fact that the person at the check-out admitted a lack of skill, lead me to conclude definitively that I was never, never, never going to deal with Wheatfield Nursery again! A total mess! I have had similar experiences at this place, but always gave them a "second" chance. Well, today simply confirmed that Wheatfield Nursery's business issues are not merely sporadic or coincidental to certain past experiences. Instead, it's mismanagement seems systemic. I won't be going back!

This kept me from getting more than I did because I wasn't sure where I saw a few and didn't want to do the sideways thing again. After striking out twice at other businesses in the area, one of the shops suggested I look here. You know what? They have just about everything you could imagine. I had a few plants that I couldn't find anywhere in the DC or Baltimore area. I must have called about 20 different shops. Not only did this place have what I was looking for, they had about 5 different versions of the same plant. Each of the staff members went out of their way to talk me through what type of soil I needed, where to plant each one and tips on making my yard grow better. I was writing so much of it down, since they were such a wealth. I've never seen so many plants, and it was reasonably priced. I honestly may make this my go to plant nursery each year. It's worth the drive from DC.
