Such a lovely little place to stay in SLO! This was our first time in town and we were really glad we found the Peach Tree. They helped accommodate our late check in even though it was after-hours, and left us everything we needed including keys, WiFi info, and details about the free continental breakfast. In the morning, we checked out and paid, grabbed some delicious coffee to go, and went out to explore town before heading to our next stop. Our room was very clean and well maintained. Only minor issue was the mattresses were not super comfortable, but not terrible. The shower was also a little small but that was no issue for us personally (and I believe you can request a handicap accessible one). The property is fairly large and has different cute cozy places to hang outside. We would definitely stay here again!

Peach Tree Inn is a dog friendly pet hotel that provides a free breakfast, free parking, free WiFi and free snacks in the afternoon. It is also nice that there is a designated parking spot right in front of your room. My husband, our little girl dog and I stayed here for a week for a nice getaway in SLO. This hotel still uses actual keys for their hotel doors. We checked in on a Monday evening (around 8:30 pm) and the employee at the front desk was very friendly. She told us that they still have snacks in the dining area if we are interested (which was pretzels and oreos and also popcorn that you can pop in the microwave. However they seemed to have run out of popcorn the rest of the days we were here). We stayed in a one queen bed room that has a small mini fridge and TV in the room. There is no microwave though (just in the dining area where you can get free breakfast from 7- 10 am daily). The room was on the smaller side but the price for our room was ~$100 or so (prior to tax) a night, which was pretty affordable. Our queen bed was comfortable for the most part but we did find some ants on the dressers by the bed and also a few on the floor during our stay. In the shower, there was a soap dispenser but it was empty. But bar soap is provided by the sink and also a small bottle of shampoo and lotion (I really dislike using hotel products and often bring my own since I have sensitive skin and hate the way hotel shampoo always leaves my hair very dry). The shower was pretty small and would not recommend it for those that are claustrophobic. I was surprised to only find 2 long towels in the bathroom and had to ask for more at the front desk (I need 2 towels alone, as I need one to dry my hair and one for my body). The grounds of the hotel is very nice and I like the seating by the (covered) porch that is right outside the dining area. The breakfast is very simple, providing boiled eggs, oatmeal, various cold cereals and milk, yogurt, bread, bagel, juices, coffee and hot water. I thought it was kind of strange that coffee and hot water is not offered throughout the day, like other hotels though. Overall, we had a comfortable stay and would consider staying here again if visiting SLO.

I have stayed at Peach Tree Inn twice now while visiting my daughter whom is in college nearby. I love the friendly, family-feel to this Inn. I have always been greeted warmly and the rooms and common areas are clean. There is a light morning breakfast which consists of hard boiled eggs, various store bought pastries, oatmeal, cereal, fresh fruit, coffee, tea, juice, and various breads for toast. The assortment of spreads is impressive- butter, jam, peanut butter, almond butter, cinnamon sugar, etc... There was also non-dairy milk available for cereal which is rare but very welcomed. The sourdough bread is some of the best I've ever had and I love a good sourdough. In the afternoons they have microwave popcorn, pretzels, and Oreo's which is a fun snack especially for the kids. The property itself is relaxing. There is a porch area with seating to read the newspapers or relax. There is a little "island" area with a bunch of chairs to sit and socialize and then there is another small area with a chair swing and some picnic tables to also sit around and spend some time with new friends or family socializing. The rooms are pretty basic but CLEAN. I've stayed both in a room with two beds and the single queen and both have been spacious enough for two and very comfortable. There was a small table, a tv (with a printed out guide to the channels which is a welcomed bonus!), a mini fridge, and a small open closet area. The bathroom was roomy as well with a decent sized shower, a sink, and a toilet. Laminate wood floors and portable HVAC system as well. Peach Tree Inn isn't found on hotels.com or hotwire, but you can reserve your room online through their website. They do not have electronic keycards but big brass keys that were a fun retro feel and I actually liked that except for the irrational fear that I was going to lose one. Wifi was decent speed although it seemed to make you re-login twice a day which was slightly annoying but nothing that would cause me to complain.

Really kind people at the peach tree inn, I had to use the restroom when the gas station across the street was under construction. They let me use their staff restroom and it was a lifesaver. Cute little spot and lovely woman at the front desk. Thanks Peach Tree Inn !

For the price and location you can't beat it. For less than a hundo l had a nice bed, clean room, good ventilation, its a beautiful location. I parked right in front of the room. I walked downtown and got my drink on. Everyone was very friendly. I really liked it. If you just want a crash pad this is your place. If you want luxury, and want to chill in your room and watch on a huge UHD TV you might want to stay elsewhere, but I really liked it.

We checked in around 6pm on a week day and booked a fire place room (room 8). We had no issues checking in and I love how cozy the hotel is. It had a feel of a small, personal hotel which I loved over these big hotel chains. The price was also very fair per night. The room: extremely large and clean. I loved the fire place although it got pretty hot pretty quickly. This would be perfect for the winter! I liked it just because there's something about having a fire place that just makes the room much more cozy. Amenities: The hotel delivers breakfast every morning around 7am with local black coffee and two pastries. We were also very pleasantly surprised to see they have an EV charger. It's $2 per hour which is fair. Charges about 6kwH (even though the charger says 8kW per hour). The good thing is when the charges cut out occasionally, it didn't charge me for that time. Was able to charge fully on my Tesla Y from 10% to 80% for like $14. They also have local Kombucha which you can ask for at the front desk. You can also keep the bags that come with the breakfast which is an awesome momento! Feedback to the hotel: I didn't take any stars off because it's not really a negative but just something you can improve on. We did have really noisy guests next door some back late at night (likely inebriated) but the walls are extremely thin and you can hear everything even people just walking up the stairs to their rooms. It woke us up and made it hard to fall back asleep. We could also hear the laundry machines or something rumbling in the middle of the night as well. Moreover, the sink stopped draining in the bathroom which we told the front desk at checkout and they were appreciative of the feedback. Overall, my wife and I loved this hotel. the rooms were lovely and cozy. It was so awesome they had EV charges which saved me so much time having to run to a super charger. Service was amazing as well. Would definitely stay here again when visiting SLO.

We were helped initially by Austin, who is a very fun and interactive member of the Nightcap team. The drinks were carefully crafted and delivered with friendly banter from Austin. Later, we decided to head over to Granada Bistro on the other side of the hotel to to get a table for dinner. The host let us know all their tables were reserved but if we wanted to wait for about 30 minutes they would work to create some space for us. Meanwhile they offered to continue drink service for us in their waiting area. Next thing I knew we were being whisked back over to Nightcap and Austin was back letting us know that he'd be taking care of us and our dinner orders. He sat us right back in the corner booth we had before we left, even though it was busy at that time. The meals were delicious, the drinks heavenly, and the service prompt and cheeky, just the way we prefer it. Thank you Austin and Grenada for a wonderful evening. We will return.

Just off the 101 north heading towards SLO or Paso is the famous hotel, Madonna Inn. The last time I've visited the place we stayed in their Kona Rock Room. A fun caveman style room with boulders as the walls. Also the funky shower made out of rocks. The whole concept of rock room. Not just that, each room has a different theme so whatever mood you like, the place is your oyster. We stopped by just to show the property off to some friends who's never been but have alway wondered about the place. It's off the freeway so you won't miss it. The cute facade and the massive grassy knoll out front. Big decent size parking lot utilizes more for the restaurant as there's another lot heading towards the room. Of course everyone comes for the hotel but you can't miss the funky pink restaurant. A staples at the property. Let's say valentines on crack times 1000. It's funky but the cutest. It was closed when we arrived but I believe it's more for dinner. The cafe to the side was packed so that does get utilized often. There was a major line waiting for a table. You could walk through the restaurant to check it out. They were setting up the banquet room for a wedding reception happening later that day. Right when you walk into the restaurant, you're greeted with the pink room. Beautiful pink tufted booth similar to old school Vegas mob vibes but hot pink. Behind that is the bar with similar concept. A beautiful large stone fireplace situated in between the entrance and the bar area. There's a staircase that leads you upstairs to the shops. To the left is the main boutique with pretty much everything. Dresses, apparel, gifts, male and female clothing, costumes but really are gowns, shoes and so on. Cowboys vibes with a lot of the clothing. Some things are very eccentric but quite funky and cool. The more upscale of the boutique. The opposite side is where you find more of the souvenir and kids items as well as all the sweets and toys. There's also a cute little secret garden behind the property. Of course we happened to walk in while they were setting up for a wedding. It's nothing too crazy but a cute garden area with beautiful plants and colorful bold choices of colors growing. Of course the main focal piece, the cute lake right in the middle. Most wedding will take place near it. If you haven't been here, it's worth a stop and wander through. Grab a meal at the cafe if you fancy a more elegant night, dinner in the main pink room. If you get a chance to stay at the property, the many funky rooms to choose from. It's a cute and fun place that's a staples in California. Everyone knows about the Madonna Inn. Love it. I would LOVE to send my out-of-town visitors here on recommendation, but don't feel like I want to be embarrassed in that way. The food is not good. Last time I went, I stared for about 20 minutes at the menu looking for *anything* i wanted to eat. I'm not a big meateater, and I realize it's a steakhouse, but every other good steakhouse I've been to has absolutely amazing ALL the other options, veggie sides, veggie options, variety of seafood. Madonna *could* do this, so why do they continue choosing not to. I settles on a portabello mushroom. I didn't like it. I just connected with a friend on Facebook who said it perfectly: "It was SO BAD when I was there. Soggy portabella mushrooms stuffed with unflavored bread and supposedly herbs but I doubt it based on the flavor profile, limp steamed vegetables, and unflavored polenta cakes. Not even salted. Seriously dog food." And I realized this was my exact experience, and it's prompting me to write this review. You don't have to be vegetarian to like veggies. DO BETTER Madonna.

It looked super cute, but it seemed unconventional. I might be okay with it, but would my husband be? (The answer is yes- we loved it!) There are six rooms. It is self check-in. It used to be an auto repair garage. I can attest that everything in the photos look just as lovely if not even better in person. I booked a room exactly a month in advance. Everything truly was done electronically. The access code to the hotel and room is emailed and texted to you. I have to say that I loved not having to grab a key to put in my pocket every time I walked out. We had our pup with us, so we took quick relief trips outside. I didn't have to worry about getting locked out. When you walk in, you immediately notice the different art pieces placed around the hotel. There are also paintings in the rooms. There are two bicycles near the front door for you to use (I'm assuming, but we didn't utilize them). Everything was immaculately clean -- everything in our room & bathroom and the shared kitchen and lounge space. There is hand sanitizer in the shared spaces as well as a hand soap by the kitchen sink. The soap and shampoo brands are great quality. There are extra blankets in your room as well as in the lounge (I noticed them neatly folded in a basket. I was up early Sunday morning to take my dog out for a walk. I came back to make myself a cup of coffee w/ the coffee and individual French presses provided. This is when I met Kelly, manager of the Butler Hotel. In a word, she's fantastic. She is friendly, kind, and truly made our stay even more special. I mentioned that it was our 20 year anniversary. On the weekends, they bring in fresh baked pastries from The Splash Cafe, which is directly across the street. In the afternoons, there is complimentary wine. We stayed in Room 1, which is the first room to the left. It was comfortable and the size was great. I think it's one of the bigger rooms, according to the website. The bathroom, in my opinion, was large. It had the ADA roll-in shower with an adjustable height and removable shower head. I read that there were complaints about the noise, but we didn't experience loud noise from the street nor from within the hotel. We could tell there was another dog next door, but it wasn't noisy in our opinion. For anyone worried about no on-site staff, do not worry! I accidentally knocked over a glass in our room. Kelly leaves her phone number if you need anything. In that instance, she offered to come right away, but we opted to wait until we left for the day to have it vacuumed. Can you tell by the length of this review that we loved our stay? Lol
