Bungalow B (tucked in the back) the best!

We had a wonderful weekend at the Back Bay Inn! The bay view was stunning, and the location felt perfectly tucked away. The customer service was amazing, with everyone being incredibly friendly and accommodating. We can't wait to return!

Wow this might be my new favorite place ever. I didn't even feel like I was staying somewhere, it felt like home away from home. Everyone here is absolutely wonderful. So nice and helpful. Offer great recommendations if it's your first time visiting. Seriously this place made out weekend. You get a $7 voucher to use and the cafe each day of your stay. Trust me get a coffee from here. DELICIOUS. Breakfast and bakery items too. Right on the dock perfect place to spend the morning. Cutest garden area with tables and chairs to sit and relax and enjoy outside. So close to the bay. Rooms are so clean tons of room and the bed was very comfortable!! We can not wait to be back!! Thank you Back Bay Inn!!

We have stayed this cute and cozy bed and breakfast inn twice in 2024. Currently they give $7 vouchers person to buy breakfast in the coffee shop next to the inn. But the coffee itself is almost $7. The cheapest bagel is almost $7 with taxes. Wished they can increase couple dollars to their breakfast vouchers.

We were warmly greeted at check-in and provided vouchers for breakfast at the Back Bay Cafe for each morning of our stay. Our spacious room, one of 23, was situated on the second floor and included a king-size bed, fireplace, refrigerator and a semi private deck overlooking the beautifully tendered gardens that were often alive with monarch butterflies and hummingbirds. The large windows to the rear of our room provided an excellent view of the bay including numerous brown and white pelicans, a variety of shorebirds and an osprey surveying its hunting grounds from atop a tree. Included in the room rate is a nightly help-your-self wine reception that included a trio of wines plus olives and bread sticks. One evening while enjoying a glass of wine on the patio we met the owner, Bill, who was very cordial and explained how he had just purchased an additional 100 plants to enhance the already beautiful gardens throughout the property. Breakfast at the Bay Back Cafe was very good though the number of choices are somewhat limited. There is also a fine dining restaurant, Blue Heron, on the property that has a spacious patio where we dined twice during our four night stay. In summary, we were very happy with the service, room quality and amenities.

Super cute inn. Beautiful location and beautiful views! I am all about location and views and this did not disappoint. We stayed in a room with a balcony overlooking the bay. It was so Beautiful!! My hubby and I enjoyed most of our time sitting there drinking coffee or wine, enjoying the weather and the amazing view. Our room was large and our bed was comfy! I read some other reviews and I agree, the walls are a little thin but I didn't feel like this was a big problem. It is a small hotel, there really isn't a lot of noise anyway. We had a nice big bed and a little sitting area in our room. We sat on the balcony most of the time. The property is beautiful and has many little places to sit and relax...find a nice view and enjoy your stay! They have a wine reception from 430-6pm where we enjoyed some local wine. They give you breakfast vouchers to the Cafe right next to the hotel. They have a great selection for you to choose from. I had the breakfast croissant and it was delicious! You also get some discounts at the restaurant next door, but we didn't go there. Both women I interacted with at the front desk were friendly. I can't wait to come back to this wonderful little place!

So my friend told me about this place or else I would have never found it. Every room has a view, and it is an adorable property. The garden out back, with the fire pit, is so cute. We are only here for 2 nights but I wish we were here a week. Plus, we found a great restaurant nearby- Jimmy Bumps- and we are just in heaven. We are so grateful to be here!

We have never heard of this town. The husband found this hotel by accident. It is quaint, peaceful and you cannot beat this view. We ended up with a room overlooking the bay and we ate every meal with this view. Not only were the rooms reasonable during the peak of summer, but they give you a $7 per person breakfast voucher for Nautical Bean which is right on their premises everyday you stay! Plus, there is a snack and wine reception every night from 4pm-6pm. You cannot beat this! The town is very small. There was a farmers market the day we arrived (Monday), but their Main Street maybe has 6 places at the most? Everyone seems to have a dog and they walk along the path by the inn, but it is not intrusive. This place makes you just sit and relax and we pretty much read, ate and looked at the bay for the 3 days we were here. The people are very friendly and apparently we hit it at a nice time because there was a lot of sun during the day. You can see people kayaking and canoeing on the bay but it was not busy! I hate to use the phrase, hidden gem, but it really is. We were here for the summer solstice and the sunset was pretty incredible!

The back bungalow. A private studio-sized accommodation with a full kitchen. Beautiful gardens all around. Very peaceful.

Beautiful inn on the bay. They have a variety of room types including 2 free-standing back residences. We stayed in the Bungalow, which is a studio with a king bed, full bath, small sitting area and a full kitchen. A chair or small love seat in addition to the single sofa would have been convenient. The water pressure in the bathroom shower was very low, would have liked a hand-held shower head to compensate. But it was private and quiet, just right for relaxing. 5 gardens surround the inn. Breakfast vouchers included in the price. There is an adorable café on sight. Lots of restaurants within walking distance to choose from, almost all with outdoor patios. Small liquor/convenience store just down the street. Park your car and walk where you need to go. Monday Farmers Market is a must.

We started staying at the Baywood Inn in 2025 and we stay in the Baywood Village Inn which is a fairly new building! The view facing the street is of the bay, Mirazur (a restaurant with friendly staff and very nice outdoor ambience with their fireplace and fire pits) and basically the main street. Everything one might need is in walking distance. Right next door to High Street Deli! The really special thing about the Baywood Village Inn section, is that it is very clean, has a great sliding door that opens up the entire wall of the room, complementary coffee, water, soda drinks and snacks, plus a great complementary breakfast next door at La Palapa. If La Palapa isn't available each guest gets a $10 coupon for coffee/breakfast at Nautical Bean which is right across the street. The front desk staff and the cleaning staff are excellent and they do a fantastic job at welcoming each guest. We live in the Bay Area and visit Baywood approximately 8 times per year and after our first visit at the Baywood Inn, we decided to book our stays with them! Oh yes, and I can't forget to mention the amazing fire pit in the back of the Village Inn. Great for sitting around in the evenings and having a happy hour drink!

You can tell they've put effort into keeping it fresh and comfortable. The staff? Genuinely friendly and helpful - great recommendations, warm greetings, and they actually acknowledge you as a member (which, let's be honest, doesn't always happen everywhere). Also...major bonus points for being dog-friendly. My pup was living his best life here. Now, let's talk breakfast. Or...my lack of breakfast. If you're plant-based, your options are basically: * Toast * Fruit * Plain oatmeal (if you're feeling adventurous) Meanwhile, my dog was over there enjoying what I like to call "my breakfast." Day one: cheese omelette. Day two: scrambled eggs and potatoes. Honestly, he was thrilled. I get that it's a standard hotel breakfast setup, but in 2026, throwing in one solid vegan option doesn't feel like a wild ask. Even a simple oatmeal bar or plant-based protein would go a long way. That said, everything else about the stay was great - clean, comfortable, welcoming, and easy. I'd absolutely stay here again... I'll just plan to bring my own breakfast.

I had read several reviews for this place saying how comfortable the beds were and how nice the rooms were. At that time the nicest woman showed us every room layout they had, even let us sit on the beds to test out the comfort level. The beds we sat on were way better than the other place. We also liked the different layouts of the rooms- the one with 2 separate bedrooms and the one with the kitchenette were our favorites- but we felt, at the time we could enjoy any of the rooms. They are also dog friendly if you aren't in the kitchenette room The reviews from before talked about a wonderful breakfast brought to your room each morning. When I mentioned it, the woman said they just discontinued that- the woman who was making the items had gone back to school in the mornings. She said they would be giving each guest a breakfast voucher for various small businesses in the area. This sounded like a great way to try out new places I asked if all the rooms had a fridge and microwave. We were assured they all did We booked thru a 3rd party for this trip. We stayed 3 nights- arriving Monday around 5 pm of Thanksgiving week There was a young man in the office when we arrived who said we were the last to check in for the evening He gave us our room keys and showed us the map on the wall to direct us to our rooms. He also told us parking is first come first served. We went to our room to store our belongings before heading out to dinner. I didn't see a microwave in my room- a must for my neck and back warmer for a recent injury. I went back to the office to request one. I was told he would look for one and get back to us. He came to our room 5 minutes later saying he couldn't find one. I explained I had been promised one by the nice lady when we came to look at the inn- he said she no longer worked there. That he had only been there a week He said he would call his manager and get back to us- but he left for the night without an update We asked him how to work the fireplace- but he didn't know We also asked to not have the maids come to the room while we were out. He said they don't come at all during your stays There is a binder in the room that tells you about the fireplace, as well as the location of some lockers to get "amenities" The locker has towels, tp, tissues.... There were also bikes and body boards available for use The rooms have been updated- but once in the room, it didn't seem to us that they were done well The bathroom floor is very slippery- we had to lay down towels for safety. The shower was not hot thru the whole stay- and water pressure is almost nonexistent There is a sign up in the bathroom about a 5 minute shower- no way you would get the conditioner out of your hair with no water pressure The fireplace wasn't working well... the tiniest of red on a log- and you can't really enjoy it from the bed. The tv is mounted above the fireplace- but it doesn't swivel- so you can't see it well from the bed The WiFi is a joke The beds were not as comfy as other guests reported- more were they as nice as the ones we had been shown a few weeks ago. We were in room 3 pacifica- they showed us rooms on the other side of the hotel The 2nd day we found a nice woman working in the office who was able to bring us a microwave. She did there were about 6 in the storage area. I asked if maybe the first guy didn't know where to look- she said that's where they always keep them. She stayed to make sure it worked when we plugged it in- the whole outlet didn't work in the front room The ironing board was broken- we were going to use it as a shelf for storage. The closest only had 1 hanger in it and 1 bathrobe. Which seemed odd there wouldn't have been 2. The coffee was in tiny refillable canisters. We brought our own coffee maker and coffee so wasn't an issue for us- but we both thought it didn't seem sanitary The fridge never did get cold enough- even though we had it on the coldest setting- so we ended up mostly using our big beach cooler In the 2nd day they cut back all the palm trees- grateful the woman who brought us the microwave warned us and we were able to move our car. We asked her if they would trim the ones right in front of our room- we had several stairs up to get in our room- and the palm fronds would smack you in the face when you tried to carry your stuff in and out. They did cut that back- very helpful But we were stuck in our room while the work was done. It was very loud There was always plenty of parking We didn't feel the beds we had were as comfortable as the ones in the other side of the inn- in room 3 the queen sized bed felt better then the king When we checked out it was another young man who also seemed new and inexperienced Hoping there is more training for the entire staff so everyone is on the same page
