I was led here by a series of cryptic clues a few birthdays ago. Turns out, an ex-girlfriend had organised a surprise picnic for me.
Let me explain, I was in the midst of a very trying school period, and I'd had next to no sleep the night before. So, I did a lot less strolling and a lot more rolling around the beautiful scenery. The reason I've delineated this is, I was still so completely taken with the park even in my sleep-deprived state.
Seriously. I wasn't a little sleep-deprived. I actually had to walk around keep my eyes open with my fingers. I was a LOT sleep-deprived. Indeed, you could see half the reason I wanted so badly to sleep was for the peacefulness of the park. Of course, my then-girlfriend wasn't too happy about this at the time. She thought I was being inconsiderate of her efforts. Pfft. Women! What's a dude to do?
It's truly a wonderful place, and one worth visiting without looking at the pictures, unless you have already, and listening to descriptions. Just know that's it's beautiful and experience it for yourself. read more
