When I saw it, I thought, "this is probably expired." I searched for the locations, called the closest one to me, explained the situation, and the receptionist was lovely. I told her it was from 2 Christmases ago and I wasn't sure it was good. She took the number on the card, and confirmed that it was all set. I filled out the sent paperwork, and got excited for this "treat myself" moment. There aren't any of these spas near my house, so I drove to the closest one to me, a half hour away. Only for the receptionist to tell me that my gift card isn't good here. She was not apologetic, I explained that I had called and got confirmation that I was good to go. She said she called her manager, and wouldn't be able to pay the esthetician because the money would go to another store. (I've worked retail, I get it. I do) But wait! I'm in luck, instead of using my gift card, I can pay $80 because I've never been here before. I simply responded that I'm not going to do that. She looked at me incredulously. She asked if I was going to get my facial, I asked her, "Why would I do that? Why would I give you money when you've refused a gift card I got confirmation over the phone at 3:00 today to use." She then turned the gift card over and pointed to the letters and said, "See? It says Bloomfield Hills." Okay, so I should've read the small letters in the back. That's on me. But maybe whomever I spoke to on the phone should have asked if it said a location. I suddenly got nervous that they're going to charge my card I had to give them to place my appointment, so I asked, and she said she's not going to charge me. I guess we'll see, because they did make me sign a 6 hour cancellation contract. What a terrible experience. Zero customer care. A huge waste of my time and gas. I genuinely, sincerely hope that whomever owns this establishment reads this and knows that you've earned a detractor for life. As I was about to leave I said to the receptionist, "I don't live close to here. You really should make sure that whomever answers the phone knows to double check these things." She looked uncomfortable so I left. Mainly because I feel stupid but they definitely perpetuated that feeling. No thank you.

Located on the second floor, directly ahead of the escalator, is a small little space that looks like it's merely a display of shampoos and facial cleansers. To the left and the right, almost hidden by displays, are two closed doors that lead to a maze of more doors that lead to relaxation and rejuvenation. I arrived about 10 minutes before my appointment to check it out and make sure that they had everything they needed from me, this being my very first visit here. i filled out a quick little card that asked me about my skin type, and any restrictions. The lady who was going to do my brows let me know that she was running a little behind, and offered to take me back to the "relaxation room". There she offered me some water or tea. Being that it was so hot outside, I opted for the water, but the tea that the lady next to me was drinking smelled heavenly. Again, she apologized for the delay. About 15 minutes after my appointment time, she pulled me from the relaxation room into another room set up for waxing treatments. She apologized again and quickly explained that the lady before me was having some issues/concerns with her skin, and had lots of questions after her facial. I appreciate that she took the time to answer all of these lady's questions. She quickly got to work, and I was left with beautifully groomed brows. While she was very professional and obviously knew exactly what she was doing, I felt very comfortable throughout my appointment. At no point did I feel like she was rushing to make up for lost time. I am very pleased with my eyebrows, and I'm thinking about coming back here next time I need to get them done. I am very impressed with Spa Nordstrom. I will definitely be back to try the rest of their list of services, and now that I know this is a thing, I'll have to keep an eye out when I travel.
