I wanted to take a moment and rave about Little Scholars Montessori on Las Posas in Camarillo! We…read morerelocated from Los Angeles three months ago while eight months pregnant and with a toddler. Before our move we didn't have our toddler in any day care and she was only with Grandparents for childcare. It was a scary proposition to trust her care and safety to someone outside of our family, but given my "delicate condition" and the stress associated with the move and the big life transition(s), preschool seem like the only logical option. I spent hours researching different options in the Camarillo area and was guided to Little Scholar Montessori.. After taking a tour of their new and facility I was impressed with their structure, cleanliness and kindness of the staff. I trusted that my daughter was going to be in good hands and she has been. My husband and I have been informally introducing our daughter to the days of the week and she hasn't really picked it up (like she has colors and other things, but she's two and that's okay), and a few weeks ago she was singing some song where she was saying the days of the week in order! I asked her where she learned that song and she said, "School!" and rolled her eyes at me. I've heard from other Moms that it's sometimes a struggle to get their kids out the door to daycare and honestly speaking, our daughter is excited to go to school and misses it, the two days during the week she isn't there. If it wasn't cost prohibited, she would have been there five days a week! I believe that there is only so much you can give your kids and that at some point, they need to be socialized and learn from teachers and peers. I've seen so much growth from my daughter in the last three months that wouldn't have been possible with her solely in my care (not to mention, I'd be a lot less sane managing my newborn and toddler 24-7) At the end of the month we are starting daycare at another place which is walking distance from home. I'm looking forward to meeting neighbors and their kids, but it's with a heavy heart that we are leaving Little Scholars, we really loved it there. I wanted to share with others what a positive experience we have had there so if anyone is looking for no hassle childcare in a clean facility, with a balanced curriculum that your kid will be stoked about, check out what they have to offer. You won't be disappointed.

In retrospect 2 stars was too much. In addition to risking my kids life, he really didn't do much…read moremore than color and play while here. Sure it's cute to see little Christmas concerts, school pictures, and a graduation, but I thought there would be more teaching involved. I'm not sure why this place is called "little scholars." To sum it up, my kid learned more in 2 weeks of ABCmouse than in over 2 years at this daycare. I'm glad I noticed he hadn't learned much and was able to work with him before kindergarten to essentially teach him what he should've been taught at this so called "pre-school."

Our child just wrapped up her year-long time at Camarillo KinderCare, as she is transitioning to…read moreTK. The staff is great- both teachers and directors. Our child learned a great deal through their curriculum, and we feel she is prepared for TK. Our child even had an issue getting along with another child, and KinderCare acted swiftly to resolve the issue for both parties. We'd recommend to anyone in the Camarillo area!

We've been going to KinderCare for almost 2 years now and we love it! We were originally introduced…read morethrough a family friend who had her two boys from infants to pre-k. My child has now been in 3 different classes (started in infant classes and now toddler class) and has enjoyed each class. You know the teachers are doing something right when your child runs up to class every day! The perks of going to KinderCare are the curriculum set in place for each age level. My child had learned sign language in the infant class and now knows more words than an average two year old. We are greeted with big, welcoming smiles each morning! Oh and the app that they use helped ease any anxieties I had when initially leaving my child in care. I receive updates throughout the day of what she has eaten, how long she napped for, when her diaper was changed and the best part...pictures!! It is so nice to feel connected to your child while they're in someone else's care. I recommend doing a tour to see for yourself.
