They've never moved either of my kids or pushed them out for members of their church like I've read in a previous review. By far, they're the best!! Everyday there's a new project they've worked on and something new they've learned. My kids loooove going to their daycare and run into class without even saying bye to me. This gives me so much peace of mind when I head out to work. She has such a calm, kind, and respectful way of speaking to the children--it's clear she truly understands and values them as individuals. The kids respond so well to her; they listen and engage because she speaks to them in a way that makes them feel seen and heard. She meets them at their level, both emotionally and academically. Special thanks to Ms. Maria, Ms. Sara who have also been shining stars of our experience. All of the teachers we have had for both of our kids have helped to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment.

At the very beginning of the month my daughter was suspended for behavior even though I believe the teacher mishandled the situation. I decided to pull her from the school since it was her last month and I was told I would be refunded for the tuition I paid for May, nearly $1,200 since she only attended 2 days that month. When my follow up calls weren't actively being ignored I was told by office staff that the director Kris handled financing and would call me back. This went on for months before I gave up on being refunded. Months later I'm still upset with how they handled the situation. They discussed my personal information with my family who also had a child enrolled and even issued her a partial refund when she parted ways early, but not me. I feel disrespected by the situation and because of that I would never recommend this daycare to anyone I know personally.

My child has now been in 3 different classes (started in infant classes and now toddler class) and has enjoyed each class. You know the teachers are doing something right when your child runs up to class every day! The perks of going to KinderCare are the curriculum set in place for each age level. My child had learned sign language in the infant class and now knows more words than an average two year old. We are greeted with big, welcoming smiles each morning! Oh and the app that they use helped ease any anxieties I had when initially leaving my child in care. I receive updates throughout the day of what she has eaten, how long she napped for, when her diaper was changed and the best part...pictures!! It is so nice to feel connected to your child while they're in someone else's care. I recommend doing a tour to see for yourself.

They were genuinely excited to have our daughter join and I remember thinking "they must be doing something right if all these kids are so sweet and well-behaved!" The communication has been great, they let us know if anything happens throughout the day and regularly share photos and updates about the kids activities and curriculum. We especially love how much they spend time outdoors. They even grow their own fruits and vegetables, giving the kids a chance to learn about them and enjoy what they grow. Most importantly, our daughter absolutely loves it. She adores the staff, has become great friends with the other kids, and her social skills (and vocabulary) have improved so much since she's started. Stephanie and team have helped us navigate so many milestones and always provide advice on how we can keep supporting her at home. She then became angry with me for writing my experiences online and went to my business page and gave my business a negative review. Please be very cautious when choosing childcare providers. My experience with Stephanie is that she's very vengeful and not particularly mature. I will continue to repost this every time you have it taken down. I'm not interested in reading your responses anymore, I already know what they will say.

I don't think you can measure a business when everything is going perfectly. You measure a business by how they handle things when it doesn't go as planned. Everything has been going great, but we recently had a little hiccup when I added a whole home water filtration system. I was a little frustrated and it took a little bit to get the right person on the phone, but I'm really happy to know that they are the same company from 11 years ago. They went above and beyond to take care of the problem. I've heard nightmare stories about other companies in the area that will install something and if there is a problem, you are on your own. I see a 1-star review from someone who was frustrated with lack of customer service. I was frustrated with this too. The AI phone interface can be frustrating, but there are good people working there who are trying to do the right thing. It just might take a little bit of patience to get the right person on the other end of the phone. I do know that they are addressing this problem. Julian is my plumber and Sam is my HVAC guy and when they come to the house it's like having old friends visit. At the end of the day, that's what keeps me coming back to them. The work is solid, the technicians are knowledgeable, and when something does come up they stand behind what they do. Eleven years later, that still says a lot about the kind of company they are. I have no hesitation to call them for some of the bigger upcoming purchases that our household needs, like a new AC unit and a tankless water heater. I am very happy with how they addressed this past issue and will be calling them in the future.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Air Works…read more We originally called because we were having an odor/fumes from our garage being pulled into our home through the downstairs HVAC system. That was the primary reason for the service call and the problem we specifically wanted corrected. Nick came to our home and spent a couple of hours going through the system with us. He quoted approximately $4,500, which was significantly higher than other estimates we had received. We agreed to move forward because he represented that they were going to do substantially more work, including addressing the air leakage from the garage, expanding/sealing the return area so it would not continue pulling garage air into the house, and making changes upstairs to improve airflow so so much air was not being directed into the primary bedroom. Based on those conversations, we were told the downstairs system would be properly sealed and the garage-air problem would be corrected. Unfortunately, when the technicians were finishing their work, it became apparent that the most important part of the job -- stopping air from being pulled in from the garage -- was not included on their work order. I raised the issue while the technicians were still here. They contacted Nick, and we were then told that sealing that area would be done when we eventually replaced the entire HVAC system. Replacing the entire system had never been part of our agreement or the reason we approved this $4,500 job. Had we been told beforehand that the work being proposed would not address the fumes/garage-air issue, we would not have authorized the work. The technicians who came to our home were professional, polite, and clearly trying to do the job they had been given. I actually feel badly for them because they seemed to have walked into a situation where they had not been given all of the information that had been discussed during the sales appointment. The frustrating part is that we spent a significant amount of time explaining exactly what the problem was and what we needed fixed. Yet after spending approximately $4,500, the original problem remains. I still cannot comfortably run my downstairs AC because the same smell is coming into the house. UPDATE: After I posted this review, Nick called us. Unfortunately, instead of trying to resolve the problem, the conversation became argumentative and his description of what had been discussed was very different from what we were told when we agreed to the work. This was especially concerning because the technicians had already contacted him while they were at our home regarding the same issue. Again, the reason we called Air Works was to stop garage air/fumes from entering our downstairs HVAC system. That problem was not fixed. We had previously used Air Force HVAC company for years and decided to try Air Works based on a recommendation. I regret that decision. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering Air Works get every single promised repair and outcome specifically written into the work order before authorizing the job, particularly if the recommendation is coming from the salesperson rather than the technicians who will actually be performing the work.

A few years ago I used Pro Solutions and Jerry came out for a water pressure issue that impacted our sinks and shower. Jerry was thoughtful and a good communicator on the issue. He fixed the issue immediately and that experience stuck with us. Fast forward to this week, we used them again. Thankfully, no emergencies but I had one toilet needing a tweak and needed hardware changed in one of my bathrooms for the shower and sink that was long overdue. Even though my request wasn't an emergency, Jerry offered to come out within hours of my request to fix everything and was communicative even late into the night (when my toilet started acting up so I frantically messaged them) talk about stellar availability and service. Next day I had Jerry at my door, he was punctual, professional and did a great job of explaining everything so that I could understand what needed to be done, the pricing, and options for the replacement pieces. It was all a seamless and easy process. Jerry was also quick and efficient which was another bonus. What gives this company extra brownie points in my books though is their honesty...To elaborate, I had partially fixed the issue with my toilet before Jerry came but there was still something slightly off about the water levels... after telling Jerry he was able to tweak the part that I didn't know how to fix and literally in seconds, he had the issue resolved. Given what a quick fix it was and that he was already out to help with other plumbing issues, he didn't charge me for the toilet fix. Little things like that go a long way because any other plumber would've likely charged me just for even touching it/assessing it. That shows me that they care about their long-term business and customers, so they aren't out to make a quick buck. Honest, hardworking people are the kind of businesses I'll always go back to for repairs and projects. Two separate experiences and I was a happy customer both times. From the moment I walked into Cathy's office and met her I knew that Mount Cross was going to fulfill my personal expectations and its reputation. Cathy was very welcoming and warm (and her office was filled with PBS characters and books). After a tour and some discussion it was clear to me that she was very knowledgeable and genuine. The Facility smelled clean, looked organized, and had plenty of educational toys and games. The artwork hanging up really caught my eye as it was themed to the seasons, colors, and the sciences. I loved that they had tadpoles! My daughter really enjoyed her first day at Mount Cross, she came home and taught me all about stalactites and stalagmites!! It has since then been a year and I am so happy I made the decision to enroll both my daughter and son at this school-they have LEARNED so much!! I feel very confident that my daughter will transition to kindergarten with ease. I also cannot say enough about the teachers- all very intelligent, nurturing, detailed and have the children's best interest at heart. They are all passionate in their work and I am so grateful for the work they do with my children and to have them in our community. read more

Mount Cross is called, "The Preschool on the Hill." My husband and I truly believe we found such a treasure in this beautiful preschool. My son attends Mount Cross and loves going to school every day. The teachers are caring, understanding and work hard at providing an engaging, nurturing and safe environment for my son to grow and learn. My son loves the playground, which is designed beautifully and the Channel Islands can be seen in the distance. I personally love the fact that he can see nature and not be gated in by side streets with busy cars. He loves to sing with the piano and visit chapel once a week. He is very proud of his school and enjoys telling everyone we meet who his teachers are and what he is learning. Mount Cross is a remarkable community of teachers, students and parents. We love Mount Cross. Since finding out about this school, I have had 3 of my children attend here. My older two boys have moved on from the school, but they were ready for their next school as Mt. Cross set a good foundation of learning for them. My 3 year old daughter is currently attending and at first she had a hard time with me leaving her, but she grew to love her school and is excited to go everyday. The teachers are all very welcoming and loving towards the parents and children. I love the small school feel, where the teachers all know your child. I love that they go to chapel, where they learn to sit and listen as well as interact with songs and stories at such a young age. This is a great school that offers a lot for your child. I would highly recommend checking it out. You won't be disappointed! read more

It's a scary thing letting go of your child for the first time. Will they be taken care of with compassion & patience? Respect & love? I have to say that all of my hopes and expectations were far surpassed by these wonderful women at Mt. Cross. The director is loving and humorous, and the teachers are amazing! My daughter has special needs which began to unfold the first year she attended Mt. Cross. We were met with nothing but kindness and love when it came to all of her needs. And everyone always took the time to talk with me when I needed. I only wish she could attend longer. These ladies truly are a family here and I would recommend this school to everyone! read more

My son will be leaving Mt. Cross at the end of this year to go on to Kindergarten and we are SO happy that we get to enroll our other child to start in the Fall! 4 straight years at the BEST Preschool in Camarillo. The teachers are all so kind and truly care for and know each child. Every teacher my son has had has gone the extra mile to ensure he feels comfortable and safe. They gave him the extra attention he needed,as his adjustment to Preschool was rough. All three of my children have gone to Mount Cross preschool, and I strongly recommend them to anyone. I am completely comfortable with the staff and facilities, even when dropping off my first child for the very first time. Our kids cannot wait to go in the morning, and really enjoy the Faith based teaching. My oldest has graduated from the school, but frequently goes back to visit his teachers. The teachers at Mount Cross Preschool truly care about the children, and are dedicated to their academic, social, emotional, and spiritual development. The best preschool in Camarillo! My daughter is in her second year at Mount Cross and we couldn't be more pleased. She loves singing around the piano everyday, chapel once a week, and the amazing playground. At the very beginning of the month my daughter was suspended for behavior even though I believe the teacher mishandled the situation. I decided to pull her from the school since it was her last month and I was told I would be refunded for the tuition I paid for May, nearly $1,200 since she only attended 2 days that month. When my follow up calls weren't actively being ignored I was told by office staff that the director Kris handled financing and would call me back. This went on for months before I gave up on being refunded. Months later I'm still upset with how they handled the situation. They discussed my personal information with my family who also had a child enrolled and even issued her a partial refund when she parted ways early, but not me. I feel disrespected by the situation and because of that I would never recommend this daycare to anyone I know personally.

Our oldest was in Mrs. Olga Nguyen's class instead of attending TK, and she was more than well prepared for kindergarten. She has such a calm, kind, and respectful way of speaking to the children--it's clear she truly understands and values them as individuals. The kids respond so well to her; they listen and engage because she speaks to them in a way that makes them feel seen and heard. She meets them at their level, both emotionally and academically. Special thanks to Ms. Maria, Ms. Sara who have also been shining stars of our experience. All of the teachers we have had for both of our kids have helped to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment.

My children bonded with each teacher, grew socially and academically, and thrived here. The teachers update lesson plans and provide notices through google classroom. Some teachers are more on top of it than others, but they all give out their cell #s and are reachable at any time which I appreciated. They'll text photos during events or special activities. While some drop-offs were hard, especially in the beginning or during a transition period, ultimately my kids never fought me on attending school and were always happy when they came home.

Also, while there were many teachers that we experienced in the 6 years of time we were there we had so many great influences. Our children had the benefit to be in almost all the classrooms and they loved them all! Moreover they prepare your kiddo for Kindergarten. Our son came in reading ahead of grade level and our daughter, who struggled with reading, received lots of help from the TK teacher who advocated for us to look into further resources to help. Glad we listened because now she is reading at grade level. Lastly, you feel like family here. I am so happy for the amazing lifelong friendships that we have made with so many of the staff. They really love our kids and we miss them all and love when we run into them and get to catch up. They remember all our kids. Overall, great school and great program. The school is older, and the building is outdated but although there are likely better facilities the place has an amazing program that prepares them for school. The facility is always clean, staff is extremely professional and I am amazed at how advanced academically, socially, and emotionally my grandchildren became during their time there. They provide nutritional breakfast, lunch and snack and you are able to follow what the kids eat each week by their visibly posted food menus. My grandchildren were picky eaters so this was very important to us. I recommend this place to everybody. They also teach english AND spanish! Truly amazing work. Thank you CRU. We hope that they bring the after-school program back for older school-aged children in the near future so that our grandkids can remain apart of this wonderful program.
