Oh and the app that they use helped ease any anxieties I had when initially leaving my child in care.

The best part, is that my son is starting to speak more words and sing songs when he is at home. Thank you Kathy, Yesi, and other teachers as well! The school also has a dance class that I enrolled my son in. He loves it and that makes us happy.

At the very beginning of the month my daughter was suspended for behavior even though I believe the teacher mishandled the situation. I decided to pull her from the school since it was her last month and I was told I would be refunded for the tuition I paid for May, nearly $1,200 since she only attended 2 days that month. When my follow up calls weren't actively being ignored I was told by office staff that the director Kris handled financing and would call me back. This went on for months before I gave up on being refunded. Months later I'm still upset with how they handled the situation. They discussed my personal information with my family who also had a child enrolled and even issued her a partial refund when she parted ways early, but not me. I feel disrespected by the situation and because of that I would never recommend this daycare to anyone I know personally.

Our oldest was in Mrs. Olga Nguyen's class instead of attending TK, and she was more than well prepared for kindergarten. She has such a calm, kind, and respectful way of speaking to the children--it's clear she truly understands and values them as individuals. The kids respond so well to her; they listen and engage because she speaks to them in a way that makes them feel seen and heard. She meets them at their level, both emotionally and academically. Special thanks to Ms. Maria, Ms. Sara who have also been shining stars of our experience. All of the teachers we have had for both of our kids have helped to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment.

Sure it's cute to see little Christmas concerts, school pictures, and a graduation, but I thought there would be more teaching involved. I'm not sure why this place is called "little scholars." To sum it up, my kid learned more in 2 weeks of ABCmouse than in over 2 years at this daycare. I'm glad I noticed he hadn't learned much and was able to work with him before kindergarten to essentially teach him what he should've been taught at this so called "pre-school."

I have loved the way they've prepared my kids for the next level class and eventually kindergarten. I appreciate their mindfulness approach to education and resources.

Both my children thrived in this preschool, and it's honestly been so helpful for me as a parent. We have met dear friends and really felt like we have been part of a community. I have also learned so much about early childhood development and been given so many tools that have helped me grow into my role as a mom. I love that the curriculum is play based and has a strong focus on social emotional development. It's also a very open minded, supportive and accepting community, which was very important to me when I was initially looking into schools. The teachers have been absolutely stellar, I learn so much from watching them and the way they lovingly and respectfully interact with each child. Parent involvement is essential in a co-op environment and you (or in some cases with full time working parents, another family member such as a grandparent, etc.) work in the school for several days through each month, which was a good fit for our family (I loved being there and wanted to be part of my kiddos early school experience) but it's of course not right for everyone's situation. That said, this program is wonderful for children with separation anxiety, as parents can stay as needed as their child transitions. (It's also great for families struggling with potty training, as it's not a requirement for enrollment.) This next year will be our 6th and final year, as our youngest will be graduating. I'll miss it tremendously, and I know my family (both my kiddos and I) will fondly carry the beautiful memories we made here for the rest of our lives.

All of the teachers know all of the kids, parents, and other adults in their lives. The teachers are all approachable and kind and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure all of the unique needs of each child are met in the best way. They are all collaborative with the parents on difficult days and always try and understand the "why" behind big emotions that little ones experience before jumping to time away from the group. The tenure of the teachers is also impressive, with very little turnover in the teachers. You can tell that Miss Jasmin and the team truly care about each other and the success of the school. The class sizes are small and well-staffed, which did not seem to be the case in several other pre-schools we had toured prior to GS, especially at the very reasonable monthly tuition rate and hours of operation. The activities and lessons are endless and always in a rotation to keep little minds from getting bored or overwhelmed. From trunk-or-treating, to in school farmers markets, endless crafts, sensory activities, water days, and more... Both of our kids are always thrilled to tell us about their days during pick up from school. The school feels secure and the staff are diligent in making sure the gate is locked at all times. I love that they regularly practice their safety drills, and our kids talk about how safe they feel at school with confidence. Our four-year-old is wise beyond his years, and we contribute so much of this to GSECC. Our two-year-old has had some delayed development, but she has grown leaps and bounds since starting her preschool journey here. We are so thankful for all that Good Shepherd has done for our family over the years. You will absolutely be making the correct decision in sending your child here.
