Had to come back to update. PLP is still amazing. Now all 3 of our dogs have been patients here and 2 have since gone over the rainbow bridge. Most recently our Tito. We are always treated as if we are important. They work with our schedules as much as they can and prioritize their animals. Take comfort in knowing that your furry babies will be very well taken care of, and thought about even after they've passed.

Not considerate if you aren't already a patient there. Pretty sure the life of an animal should be a consideration to appointment making.

Peaches was there for over 8 hours as the team worked on her. They were so kind, so knowledgeable, and empathetic. Jolene never left her side, the level of care and attention she showed us and Peach makes me cry. Ash, Dr Healy, and every other person we interacted with are truly guardian angels. I don't even have the words to describe my appreciation for being able to take peaches home. I give my highest recommendation for someone who is looking for a team of experts during a time of need for our furry family members.

Complete imbeciles and self righteous pompous asses. The service was horrific. My dog was ill and they completely neglected him and turned the other cheek. I can't even begin to describe how terrible and nasty they are. Truly the worst vets on Long Island. I repeat the worst!!!!! I waited 2 hours for absolutely nothing. No help from them just simply whatever. Please take your hard earned money elsewhere. These people will take advantage and rob yoy blind. I will probably press charges after this kind of Lowsy treatment. This was traumatic for my dog and myself. Entrusted his care to childish morons. They knew and comprehended less than a 4 year old. Total embarrassment. Please spare yourself the time and aggravation. Simply just go elsewhere. Veg er say they are the best. Clearly they have no clue. I asked for assistance and simply got aggravated. Pathetic! I would never take a pet or any animal there. Horrible.

Dr. Steinberg has always gone above and beyond for us--I'll never forget him opening the practice to examine our dog the day after Hurricane Sandy, even with no electricity. The entire staff is excellent, but I want to specifically thank Dr. Cosentino and Dr. Steinberg. Dr. Cosentino was instrumental in finally diagnosing our dog's chronic digestive issues; since switching to HA food, she has been healthy and thriving. More recently, when we feared Luna needed cruciate ligament surgery, Dr. Steinberg's thorough exam led him to conclude it was a soft tissue injury. By prioritizing her health over profit, he canceled the planned X-rays, which was a significant saving for us. While we had one recent administrative hiccup involving a missed lab test and a medication error, Dr. Steinberg's response solidified our trust. He personally called us, listened to our concerns, and immediately took steps to correct the situation. We remain completely confident that Dr. Steinberg and his team are the best choice for our fur baby and our family.

The second visit was with my dog having severe allergic reaction, and wound on the tail. They were not able to clean the wound, and apply ointment, or spray. They blamed me to not giving trazodone to the dog prior to visit, that is totally ridiculous. They did not suggest me to buy antibiotic in the pharmacy, instead they charged me $140 for 10 pills. They sold me collar, spray and pills, plus $90 for visit, that cost me $280 for nothing. I could have buy the spray , antibiotic and collar in the pharmacy for much less. I found it totally unhelpful and overcharged for nothing.

The staff is friendly & efficient.. They have been wonderful in providing the special foods and supplements that my dogs need at very reasonable prices. I heard him screaming at an employee to the point I asked another if they would like me to call 911, to which they mumbled "no that's okay he is always like this" He spoke down to ne and spoke as if he was the end-all, be -all of veterinarians, told ne that both my cat and MYSELF could "use another wall around the block" because we are both "unhealthy" - I am chubby but also I don't go to animal doctor to be critiqued on my weight. This nab thinks who the heck he is and, my cat did NIT get better after his treatment and I had to go somewhere else only to find he was misdiagnosed. Unless you want a man who is screaming at his staff, stinking like pot, insulting both you and your pet, I would pass on this one. I was so upset when I left and I cannot believe he has any good reviews.
