The inspectors were very knowledgable and probed every detail of the home. They spent almost 3 hours on a basic home inspections & checked absolutely everything. It was very easy for me to request an appointment online and then I received a return phone call to setup an appointment that very day. The cost was very reasonable and I did not feel pressured to add on a bunch of services that I did not feel was necessary. I was booked for an appointment within the same week. When attending the inspection I found the inspector to be extremely knowledgeable, patient, and helpful in making sure I understood everything he was checking for and everything that needed repairs and also was given a nice estimate as to what those repairs might cost me. This allowed me to make a well educated decision regarding the home purchase. I also was given a very clear electronic copy of my report with plenty of pictures referring to everything that was inspected. Overall, I was very pleased with this company and inspector and would definitely recommend them to others.

This is the worst attempt at trying to buy a home I have ever had! We were refered by USAA (prior…read moremilitary, got mortgage through USAA who is affiliated with various real estate companies in order to make the buying experience a good one for us). We were refered to Dana Slocum who was veted through USAA. He said he would send us properties, over 5 days later, still no properties were emailed to us. I called USAA and complained about him since we need a good realtor who will be very aggressive in finding us a home in a highly desierable neighborhood (primarily due to the good schools). He did call my wife and stated that he didn't get the properties to us because "he needs his weekends for downtime too". Ha...realtors work on the weekend! It's their prime time, when we buyers/sellers are off work, etc. Anyway, USAA refered us to another agent....last name also Slocum. Turns out, through my research, this is Dana Slocum's wife. I called her and left a message about looking for a property and that I am residing in Oklahoma...she NEVER RETURNED MY PHONE CALL!!!! I called USAA and they severed their relationship with these people! We currentlly have a great agent through REMAX and we are very happy. DO NOT USE ERA REALTY IN KALAMAZOO...SPECIFICALLY DANA SLOCUM AND HIS WIFE...WHATS-HER-NAME...WHO CARES!
