I've been coming to this PQD for over 6 years now. But this experience was WOW. So I order and everything went fine. I pay blah blah blah. The young male at the first window was nice and to be honest my order was simple no substations. I get to the second window. Another male asks me to pull ahead and he'll bring it out. (Btw he only passed me one of my lemonades.) (I kindly remind him I ordered too.) no big deal. 27 minutes later and still no food. 6 cars had gone through the line and left. OOOH AND MY ORDER WAS 2 5 tenders meal, side of broccoli and a jack spicy sandwich. Sooo now I have to park and go inside (which again no problem, but now I have to unbuckle my son from his car seat.) But here's where it all goes south. I walk in, it's a graveyard. Just two old ladies paying with a gift card with the manager, I think, he's saying oh it's not working. Also when I went inside none of the employees acknowledge me. Which all looked miserable as hell. Then I see the young male that took my order and yes I waved him over. (And again I know that waving employees down is rudeeeee because I'm a server but common.) First time here. What sold me was their mission statement. I'm not a chicken tender person at all. The times I've had it at other places, it's usually dry. PDQ changed that for me. Shared a basket as a light lunch with my bf. Tenders were juicy and tender. Breading had good seasoning. Waffle fries were crisp. Tried the garlic and PDQ sauce and they were great! G had the crispy chicken meal which came with also Lettuce and tomato and a pickle on it . Included was FF and a fountain drink only $8.19. . They have sweet and unsweetened tea. They take your name plus give you a table tent with a number on it. Then they deliver it to your table . 2/15/19- Good and fast. Order at counter where there's a menu all lite up. For the gods sake PLEASE CHANGE YOUR FRY OIL!! We were happy to see the nugs were back after the last year or so and we rarely eat here to begin with but it's Sunday.... So yeah, you get it. The lady taking our order was lovely and we even rounded up to your charity, but never again. Drove off with 2 disgusting meals today. The tots were dark brown and tasted abhorrent, this oil must be weeks old, and so I question the overall cleanliness and care of this location. This is our last trip to PDQ and it has been permabanned like so many other places in this area. Our drinks were not full, one of our sauces must of got the last squirt because it was 3/4 empty, and we were given two sauces of the same type by mistake wanted honey mustard and honey bbq but got 2 honey mustards instead. The chicken was also soaked in the old oil so we ended up throwing it away and making a sandwich instead. We couldn't even eat our meals, it was so unpleasant. I cannot recommend this place. It used to be an acceptable alternative as infrequently as we visited, maybe a couple times a year but also the menu keeps changing and my favs have faded over the years, specially the zuch fries and Tom+feta. I went to the store to pick up my order and the woman at the drive-through payment section was coughing and not wearing a mask on a day when we had over 50,000 cases of Covid in one day. I called to speak to the manager and she said the CDC mandates she come to work even with a cough or Covid and they cannot mandate her to wear a mask. At the next window, the girl that gave me my food said I only get one sauce for a 12 piece nugget order, even though the app indicates 2 sauce. The chicken was also over cooked and barely warm. They have a fairly good variety of sides to go with your order. I lament the passing of their coleslaw. I loved it, not sweet with blueberries. It was different and delicious and not on the menu any more. I have ordered the roasted broccoli side twice because I really like broccoli. I'm not sure why they bother calling it roasted. It is more like lightly steamed broccoli and has never had those lovely, tasty brown tips on the buds like the picture has. I won't order it anymore because it's just steamed broccoli and when I eat out I try to order things I don't make or can't make as well at home. I had hope for the chili-lime corn but it was disappointing as well. It came with tons of paprika and looked like it had potential but the flavor was missing. My favorite side is the zucchini fries. The serving is enough to share between three people, making the upcharge more than worth it. They are seemingly healthy because it's zucchini, right? And lastly, they are a wonderful vehicle for the creamy garlic dipping sauce which is probably the whole reason I keep coming back to PDQ. The creamy garlic dipping sauce is a thing of delight. Food is (usually) okay but overpriced for what it is, people are friendly, management of staff seems lacking. We were in a long/unmoving line at the drive through exasperated by the fact that there were four staff members visible for an extended period of time chatting in a group laughing over something on one of their phones (if the line was so long, couldn't a few of them have been expediting or somehow moving the process along?) and when we finally got to the window they had ALL disappeared there was no one there to take our order. Lemon salad dressing on Greek salad at first sampling was delicious but I quickly realized after pouring it over my salad that they had used basically the whole bottle of lemon juice. Ingredients are somewhat sparse for the price, but I took it home and added avocado, etc. Chicken is always good, but it would be pretty inexcusable if it wasn't. Flat out, I really don't like chains. They look chainy, feel chainy, have a chainy taste about them and come with a "one size fits all" type of food and service. Individuality is lost in an atmosphere of sterilized blandness and for me the disturbing look of similar acting similar looking paper hated underpaid unqualified part time service help. Most of them I usually never go to, don't rate or if I do only manage a sympathetic Two Stars, however, I found PDQ a rather refreshing change from the normality of the chain. The help staff was really some of the best, most cheerful, pleasant and polite I've ever encountered and I actually marvel in how well trained, organized and efficient they are particularly considering that PDQ has only recently opened. The structure and interior consitutes a huge space that is architecturally pleasing with a bright refreshing super clean décor about it with ample parking offering spaces that, refreshingly enough, haven't been scrimped upon or minimized in size. As for the food, the menu and offerings are basic and seemingly rather abbreviated in what it encompasses. I went for what they hold out as being the "signature" chicken tenders along with a Buffalo blue sauce and blue berry coleslaw. I was surprised to find the tenders tasty, nicely prepared, far better than what one might find at a KFC but as far as their Buffalo blue sauce, only OK, with my suggestion that they might best go back to the drawing board taking some hints from the Buffalo Wing creator, Theresa Bellissimo. As for the blue berry coleslaw, the coleslaw itself was pretty darn good, but my question would be does topping a rather ordinary coleslaw with 7 (yes, I counted them) skimpy insignificant blue berries an honest, real to life blue berry coleslaw make? I would say not. Now how to rate PDQ? As a restaurant, no, because it is but it isn't since it's really a fast food chain. So, as a fast food chain store and though I can't really say that I'm a fan but maybe more a person of generous heart, I'm giving them Four since they really do seem to me better than the KFC's, McDonald's and the like. read more

This place is right across from the movie theater, so I figured why not grab a quick dinner? The food came fast, right after I washed my hands with lavender soap just next to the cash register and not having to enter the bathroom. Cool concept! I grabbed my unsweetened green tea (ok, I added Splenda this time.) to go along with my grilled chicken sandwich and blueberry coleslaw (not mayonnaise-y, win-win!) Expect someone with a mic calling out your name with the order... You'd think they were about to do a karaoke... Then, an employee named Devon wanted to take away our tray with finished meals. I've driven by a few locations many times and decided to finally give it a go. Let's start off with the name... In my opinion you need to work on your marketing. The name doesn't give you the slightest hint of what kind of restaurant this place actually is. I found out only because a friend told me how much they loved it and that all they serve is chicken tenders and a variety of dishes using chicken tenders (sandwiches, salads, etc). When you first walk into the establishment you'll notice a very open floorplan, view of the kitchen, lightwoods throughout the interior, and plenty of lighting. It's very open and "fresh" feel. The service was great and I ordered the cashier's favorite dish: the buffalo chicken sandwich with fries. Te sangwich comes with two chicken tenders tossed in a pretty tasty buffalo sauce, stacked on a bun with lettuce. The sauce was tangy, but not very spicy... Probably a good thing when serving large amounts of people. They do, however, have hot sauce available of you like to spice things up. Fries are fresh cut style and you have an option of different types of sauces to choose from (for the tenders and fries)... I selected the creamy garlic and chipotle barbecue sauce - both tasty. One bonus to point out... Not only do they have fresh squeezed lemonade as a beverage option, but they have SWEET TEA! I had not been to PDQ since they first opened. On my first visit I thought the place was pretty average but on this latest visit I was quite pleased with the experience! The interior is very clean and seems a bit more upscale than the average fast food joint. I like the hand washing station. However, what really impresses me are the variety of food selections. Yes, you can still get the standard Chicken Tenders or Chicken Sandwich. I have heard they are excellent! There are also some really nice salads. The Fruit Harvest Salad (with apples, craisins, candied walnuts, & blueberry-ginger vinaigrette) interested me. But what really caught my eye were the "Bowls", Thai Peanut, Queso Crunch, and Saucy. I went with the Saucy Bowl with Grilled Chicken, white rice, roasted broccoli, chlle-lime corn, avocado and black beans. The dish was so flavorful and filling. Definitely more upscale than you would expect from a fast food chicken place! My son loved his Honey Butter Chicken Sandwich and Husband was very impressed with his Grilled Pineapple Chicken Sandwich. I like the variety of sides available besides fries including broccoli, corn, Granny Smith apples, zucchini fries and tater tots. I also enjoyed the iced green tea. Awe. Sipping on the lemonade, my mouth was struck by a syrupy sweetness and that "from concentrate" taste of lemons. It hit hard, and there wasn't a trace of fruit pulp. Last but not least, the cole slaw: a simple & customary cabbage blend, very light on mayo - almost to the point of being "dry" with a few blueberries tossed in. Not bad, not great, and not special. $8.15 later and I'm still hungry. Maybe I should have opted for a Buffalo Bleu sandwich meal with fries to save a few dollars and allow for some starch to help fill my hungry tummy. There is Cesar dressing where you can't tell there are anchovies in it, this was not one of those dressings. Thank god I had chewing gum in the car. We ordered their chicken tender combo with fries and a drink, their chicken nuggets combo with fries and a drink and a cookie for under $20. I know a lot of the reviews complain about price but I think that's excellent. We pay just as much at chick fil a. We had their sweet sriracha, honey bbq, buffalo bleu and honey mustard sauces. All were delicious. Their chicken is lightly fried, kind of like chick fil a breaded nuggets. The chocolate chip cookie was super soft and delicious. Not sure if we just got lucky. To us, this place is a cross between chick fil a and zaxbys. It's a little far for us to drive to so chick fil a is a more convenient option but it's a great thing to pick up on the way home. They have a drive thru so that's convenient. I heard their zucchini fries and their sandwiches are great so I'm looking forward to trying those. Every sandwich looked really good and so did the rice bowls. The only complaint I have is the tables. They looked clean but every one we tried was sticky.
