From an Employee stand point. This was the worst place that I have ever worked. From the…read morebeginning (interview) Dennis Keough Seemed really nice and very personable. Had a very good feeling about him and felt very optimistic about the company. My first day of work was a big indicator on how this company is run. The company has a bunch of guys that have been there for a long time and they are like a High school clique on crack! They treat new guys like they are scum. I have never felt less welcome to a company in my entire 11 years working in the trades. I spoke with 2 other employees who had managed to kiss enough ass to secure a position there, and they said the same thing. Keough Electric was the most unwelcoming place they had worked for. The older employees are literally looking for a reason to get you fired. I was on job site every day 30 minutes early and even arrived before the Forman, took shorter lunches (if I took one at all) just to keep up productivity. I consider myself a very fast learner and a very hard worker and this was the hands down worst place I have ever worked. I would not hire these guys to do anything because I am a strong believer in treating your employees like family. Defiantly will not have anything good to say about this place if ever asked.

Muscatello Electrical is a great local company whom we highly recommend when electrical services…read moreare needed. They are prompt in providing estimates and fair in their pricing. The services requested were completed in a timely manner, and the men who did the job were professional and competent. We are very happy with the job they did and will surely be calling Muscatello Electric when we need electrical work in the future.

We used Muscatello Electrical for knob & tube remediation in May22. I was so anxious about this job…read moreas other electricians had told me to expect "hundreds" of holes and made me feel like the costs were unpredictable and likely to balloon. Working with Muscatello Electrical was such a good experience from start to finish. Thank you so much for helping us make our home safer and providing such a seamless experience. I really liked Mike from the estimate visit because he was very straightforward (while others seemed to use showy scare tactics). The estimate was black and white- a quantitative, itemized count of what would need to be done and how much each one cost. Shocked to say that we actually saved $2k off the final bill because a few circuits ended up not needing to be done Everything was very well-organized. Colleen coordinated with us in advance on timing, permits, etc. and I can't say enough about how great Mike and his team were. They were here for 2 weeks. We knew what to expect each day - who was coming, at what time, what they were doing. My husband and I both work from home and we have 2 dogs so thought it would maybe be chaotic. But it went so smoothly. The team was very punctual, professional (covering the floors and cleaning up after themselves) and friendly but so respectful, with hardly any impact on our work from home schedules. They went out of there way to minimize damage to our walls e.g., they routed wires from the basement to the second floor via an old floor to ceiling built in in the cabinet, so it's not even visible. There were not nearly as many holes as I expected overall, and they patched them well enough that I was able to just take care of the sanding and painting myself vs. hiring someone professionally. So happy this job is behind us, but would highly recommend for others looking to get rid of their knob and tube. Thank you so much Muscatello Electrical!

He did a full electric rewiring of my home. He removed knob and tube wiring and replaced with all new wiring, upgraded the service panel to 200 amps, and installed many lights, baseboard heaters, bathroom fans, porch lights, etc. Knowledgeable - you spend 10 minutes with him and you realize he knows the ins and outs of all things electric and also generally all things house related. It really gave me confidence in his vision for the final project. Cost - we received several quotes. He was very competitive with his pricing. And when you price in the quality of the work, I think the value is second to none. He was also very upfront and transparent. No hidden charges. He explained why certain items cost what they did. Professionalism - he was punctual for all meetings and phone calls. Prompt with all text replies. Speed - Once the project was underway, they really moved at a fast. My house needed quite a bit of work and they finished in two weeks. Lastly, he was happy to discuss ideas for various non-electric related items during our several house walk-throughs even though it was of no real benefit to him, which speaks to his easy going nature. I'm not a frequent "review" poster (if ever), but Mike and crew earned it.
