This is the location in Melrose Park IL, I've been trying to resolve a billing issue with this office since September 19, 2025 and it still has not been addressed. I received bills for visits with Jasmine Wilson, who is in-network with my insurance. However, my insurance company shows the claims were submitted under Emily Jarosz, who is out-of-network. I have never seen or been informed about Emily Jarosz. I became a patient through Bernie Aguilar, who referred me to Jasmine specifically because they were in-network. When I contacted the billing department, I was told Emily is Jasmine's supervisor, but I was never informed that this would impact billing or be submitted under an out-of-network provider. I clearly should not be responsible for these charges. I first emailed requesting a manager review on 9/19/2025 and received no response for months. I finally spoke with a manager, Cristal, about three weeks ago. She said she would investigate and call me back, but I still have not heard anything. The lack of communication and resolution for a billing error that has been ongoing for months is extremely frustrating. I'm simply asking for the claims to be corrected and for someone to follow through. Patients should not have to chase an office for half a year to fix billing mistakes. read more

Absolutely incredible care from Ashley, NP I had one of the best medical experiences of my life with Ashley, the nurse practitioner at PCC Lake Street Family Health Center in Oak Park. From the moment we started, she took her time with me--real time. We went through my full medical history thoughtfully and thoroughly, and for the first time in a doctor's office, I truly felt seen and heard as a whole person. Ashley is warm, attentive, intelligent, and deeply compassionate. She never rushed me, never dismissed a concern, and made me feel safe asking questions and sharing details about my health. That kind of care is rare, and it meant everything to me. I live about five minutes away and, honestly, I was a little hesitant before going--but Ashley completely changed my perspective. I am extraordinarily happy I found this practice, and I feel genuinely grateful to have her as part of my care team. If you're looking for a provider who listens, cares, and treats you with respect and humanity, Ashley is truly exceptional. I cannot recommend her enough. Choose another medical clinic. The patient room was not clean. There was alcohol wraps, plastic lids and paper towel on the floor. The medical assistant took my blood pressure wrong. When informing her that it was not a correct reading, so responded with a glazed look in her eyes. I was informed that there were 3 patients ahead of me. After waiting 1 hour, I was informed that I was next in line. I waited another hour and decided to leave. I went to the reception and explained my situation. She was unfazed and offered no apology. I wrote a letter to the clinic about to my awful experience and never received a response. Avoid this clinic! Unprofessional and unorganized! read more

Office Experience with front desk, when I tried to reach my Primary Care Doctor. I was on the phone going back and forth with this employee for 14 minutes, constantly telling me what to do about my situation. and what my Doctor "Wasn't " going to do. I told her let him make that decision as to if he can contact me or not. I had walked around 4 days with an untreated yeast infection. Nobody helped me! She Finally sent his nurse a note. She called back in less than an hour. My Doctor had already put in for a new cream for me to use. He was my Saving Grace . I spoke with the front desk/phone staff today and I was very rudely told that I was required to schedule an appointment by the doctor- wasn't told WHICH doctor and then when I asked for what purpose, I was told "for a mandatory pap smear". Is this how you run your business? You demand people to make appointments with little or no information? You don't have the right to demand anything from anyone. Also, in the past, your office staff has been very aggressive with their obgyn check ups and I don't care for any of your staff to look at my anything. Thanks! Get your staff to take customer service training, please. Rude staff. The location is in a bad neighborhood. The site is dirty and infested with bugs. Horrible place. Really nice health center. The doctors are caring and patient and the staff are professional and courteous. Whenever I take my elderly mom for her doctors appointments everyone is very patient with her and Dr. Lakota her family doctor, takes the time to listen to her concerns and address any health issues she may have. When she needs blood work, Danyella takes excellent care of her and makes the whole ordeal of drawing blood quick and easy. I would highly recommend this wellness center! read more

TL:DR, (don't bother going to this clinic for mental health issues. They do not perform psychiatric evaluations on patients.) I have been going to this clinic for a few months, I have panic attacks that prevent me from interacting with the public (cant get a job) The main purpose of this clinic is to market Suboxone (nasty side effects, ruins your teeth)...I will edit this to provide a link to a class action lawsuit later... I waiting 2 months to see a psych nurse practitioner (Julia Tea, APN) She was as useless as doctors come. The only medication she said she prescribes for panic attacks are blood pressure medications (propanalol & clonidine). She was also very judgemental and kind of mean- making fun of ther fact that I was fidgeting during the visit. Im not really sure why Julia Tea works at this clinic, as she refused to change my antidepressants, or prescribe me any of the first line treatments for panic attacks (benzodiazepines are the first line treatment) read more

I like my doctor. He's a good person, listens to me, seems to have his ducks in order. I do not like this clinic. From trying to make an appointment on the phone (after 30 minutes, I gave up and just dropped in to make an appointment. This happened more than once) to the amount of time it takes to actually see a doctor (varies. Sometimes it's 10 minutes. Sometimes it's an hour, and I don't know why), to violating HIPAA laws to ask me questions about my health at the desk in front of people I don't want to talk about my health with, to the lackadaisal attitude that a lot of the staff seems to have (by the way, there's something like 10 of you there- why does it take 30 minutes for someone to answer a call?) it's just not a pleasant experience. The only reason I stick around is that my Primary doctor is awesome. If he left, I'd never go there again. read more

I was referred to the clinic by one of the providers and was pleasantly surprised with every part of the experience. First let me say that this was the nicest and cleanest public clinic that i have ever attended. Secondly, the front desk staff was curteous, respectful and pleasant. The care that my grandson received by Dr. Turnock was very compassionate, thoughtful and very through. We were lucky to have a quick meeting with the social worker. She was fantasic and very knowledgeable of ther trade. I was very impressed. Their service sucks the call length wait was more than 30 minutes long. You have to wait more than a month to even see a doctor like seriously you have to be kidding me. 2 years ago I started going here and was not in the best of health.My wonder doctor has got me back with all good vitals and in plan on being alive for a few more years. The doctors here are amazing. However, the staff can be rude and ignorant at times. They could use customer service training. The parking is horrible. Sometimes there are extremely long wait times and the security guard seated at the back entrance makes me feel as though my life maybe in danger... wouldn't recommend it. read more

I only went here because I couldnt get into any other doctor before my insurance went up. I wanted a physical and some blood tests. The place is not that clean, I waited and hour and a half to see the doctor, and everyone's attitude sucked. Why make an appointment when you have to wait so long? I was told that is just how it is. The doctor was actually cool but not very thorough. She told me that when I go back for my blood test appointment I will be in and out in minutes. There is no waiting for lab appointments. I guess this is true when they dont lose your chart. I waited a half hour for that. I sat in the chair in the messy, disorganized lab (no wonder they lost my chart) and the guy takes my blood form my right arm but using the left arm arm rest so I had to twist my body over to one side. WTF? Its 4 weeks later and I realized that no one called me with my results. I will NEVER go back! read more

Just a bad set up. Dr. Parker-Renfroe was very sweet but everything else about this place is simply awful. Very unfriendly and impatient front desk staff that barks at everyone who doesn't understand why they are asking the same questions that the person who is sitting right next to them just asked two minutes before. Waiting area was filthy. Also, I'm pretty sure the nurse aide/person who was assigned to draw blood from my 15 month old had never drawn blood from anyone before - she just kept manhandling my child's arm and being like, "oh, no vein there either." The two nurses/nurse aides eventually looked at me like, "you want to help us here or what?" It was traumatic and horrible and I'll never go back. Avoid like the plague! read more

This place doesn't even deserve 1 star! This is by far the WORST doctor's office to go to. The ONLY reason why is chose here is because I work during the day and they have convenient evening office hours. The only Dr. I like is Parker-Renfroe. Other than that, this place can burn for all I care! The staff is horrible! The nurse forgot to fill in my daughter's shot record, and she missed her first day of school because of their neglect! Bad attitude, unprofessional and uncaring. If you have an appointment you will not be seen at your appointment time. I don't expect to be seen at my appointment time on the dot, but I also don't expect to be STILL sitting in the waiting room an whole hour AFTER my appointment time. I understand that the doctors may run behind, but not all of the time! I eventually stopped going there and transferred to the PCC South on Roosevelt Rd in Berwyn. I am a long time patent and I love my doctor othewise I would have left a long time ago. The front desk is the worst. Over the years there have been a few gem, but as a whole, they are awful. The only time I don't have an extended wait is if I get the first appointment of the day. Even then it's a crap shoot because they schedule several people at the same time and then it becomes first come, first served. I never liked the open setup at the front desk. They ask personal questions that others can hear. My doctor Paul Lunning gets 5 stars! He's the best! read more

I was sent here because I had state insurance and this was the only place to go. The waiting room is pretty intimidating and you should plan to wait for a LONG time to have your name called. HOWEVER- the nurses are friendly even though the front desk is not and Dr. Carrion was awesome. She is knowledgable and extremely friendly. She was concerned number one for the baby and mothers health and I would have felt lost without her. I could not finish out my pregnancy with her because we moved but I just wanted to take some time to mention that if you can, recommend her for your obstetrician. read more

Only commenting because my kid's pediatrician, dr Briner is supposed to be practicing here now. She used to be in the main pediatric practice at Lutheran general hospital. This seems like a huge step down for any doctor. She was always upbeat and knowledgeable about medicine and treated my autistic son with patience and caring and understanding. You may think that's no big deal, but believe me, we have been to many docs that could not handle my son with sensory disorder/ very little speech abilities! Dr Briner was great. Can't believe that other reviewer went to the same doctor that I did. The facility is clean, spacious, and conveniently located. Reception staff has a lot to do: they're busy, but I've always seen a smile. The digitized patient charts make patient history checks simple and accessible to in-house nursing/pharmacy staff and other system providers at the click of a mouse. Same-day (or even instant) triage is available by phone. I've seen two of their MDs. Both of them have been knowledgeable and responsive. They took the time to listen to my problems and worked proactively with me. Financial counseling is available. Berwyn PCC is not as cozy as an individual practice office might be, but I'm very comfortable so far with the wellness center. read more

I've heard a lot of people say bad things about this clinic in the best. It's 2013 now. September 2013 at that. PCC has changed dramatically. they have completely remodeled the place. The looks have improved, the customer service is very friendly. They are well organized. The staff is off the charts. They look wonderful and are wonderful people to their clients. They offer bus cards for those who are in need. When your medicaid has not come through they are just about the only place you can go to to be seen. They will even sign you up and send the paperwork off themselves. they also have counselors there now who help patients in whatever area you need help in. They will give you different kinds of resources the community offer. They are a good support service as a whole. I was there for almost 2 hours on my first visit because i was pregnant and hadn't been going to the doctor. Because of them today, i'm no longer having problems with depression, i get food stamps and healthcare for my family and I. I recommend all who doubted them to come in as of today and see the change. I guarantee you will love it. O yea, the ladies that draw the blood now are the sweetest set of ladies I've ever met. Very informative and always smiling.
