A revolutionary idea that most computer shops fail to miss, Titan sells loose blank CD's and DVD's! Why buy the spindle of 100 when you only need 1? The only downside is the location; it's a ten minute walk from town. But if you cut through Glasgow green and keep thinking about all the money you're going to save, it makes for a pleasant little trip.

PC World is great for all your entertainment needs, they have all the up to date, technology and…read moreequipment for enthusiasts, they also have good quality white goods at a reasonable price, ranging from basic to the more advanced machines, this store is an excellent place to go for all your Christmas gifts, you could probably get most of your Christmas presents in the one store. Apart from the merchandise, the staff are always smiling when you enter the store, which puts me at ease straight away, there is a very nice atmoshere when you walk into the store, the staff are always willing to help with enquires or just if you need advise about a product, their customer service is 100% out-standing, I would recommend this shop to any one nothing is too much trouble for them.

This place is difficult to find, as it's in a small industrial estate that isn't particularly frequented, but if you're needing computer repairs done I suggest seeking this place out. It's owned and run completely by a lovely man called Phil who's nothing but helpful and will do anything he can to provide you with the services you need, be it fixing a cracked laptop screen to fitting more memory to a computer. Any time I've been in I've been offered a cuppa and always had a good chat whilst my repairs are being done. If the repairs are going to take a while he'll just give you his mobile number and tell you to call back in a few hours/days and it'll be done. As well as repairs, Phil's shop also stocks a lot of keyboards/computer mouses/add ons/customisations that are available to buy at an incredibly reasonable price; to go with the incredibly reasonable prices he charges for repairs. Outstanding customer service, zero bulls**t, and a very low price for my repair. Why isn't this…read moreplace better known?? Had assumed that any place so close to the town centre would rip me off, and tried a few before this one that were almost certainly 'upselling' the amount of repair work I needed to get done. For context - my phone screen had become slightly dislodged (not broken in any way). Apple would only offer £90 for a screen replacement. Other shops would only offer £40-70 for replacement too. Cables and chips told me that this was a possibility, but they would look at the level of internal damage and see if this was necessary, talking me through the whole thing. So I let them take a look. They concluded (as I had suspected myself) that nothing was broken and the screen just needed to be glued back into place - it seems that when the gadget was refurbished it got too little glue. They did this very quickly, and charged me £5 for it!! Not only this, they also carefully packed my phone, looked after it for me, and put it on charge while the new glued dried. I left with a robust, fully charged phone, and my wallet not much lighter. It's a few weeks later now and my phone is still working like new, so I'm certain I made the right choice - the other shops really were just scaremongering to get more money out of me. That, or they didn't have the confidence or expertise to do anything other than a standard screen replacement, never mind what was best for the customer. I've been recommending this place to people all over and frankly wouldn't take my phone anywhere else now. I also bought a screen protector there as a bit of a thank you, and the lady behind the counter cleaned my phone and applied it for me there and then, all the while giving me tips about how to do it myself in case I needed to apply one in future. All in all a really excellent experience, especially compared to the rest of the pack. Feels like getting the mates' rates even if you've never met them before. Absolutely recommend.

Another good local store, Creative Solutions carries add ons for computers, from keyboards to hard…read moredrives, as well as mobile phonesand gaming consoles. It is not over-used: I have always been the only customer when I visit, and the staff are really helpful and honest, even telling me that the website isn't updated that often and it is always best to check with them for the latest prices! It has a fairly small stock, but it does stock a cheap range of accessories, making it ideal for an emergency purchase of a new keyboard or mouse. It has a huge range of cables, though, and is something of a treasure house for anyone wanted to update their computer without shelling out on a new machine.

I brought my Marshall headphones in with a gold plated jack for repair/replacement and they just…read moredestroyed the value of my headphones, the fix doesn't even work. The cable has been melted at one place due to the "technician" dropping the soldering iron on it. The brand new replacement gold plated jack I brought in has scratch marks on it and has been bent, therefore when plugged in only one earphone works... In the end got my money back but still have a melted cable, broken jack plug and a few cm off my cable... and no fix. I am very sorry but I do not recommend this shop for music repairs, they didn't even say sorry :O
