Because my mother uses PC Solutions, now that I have a laptop to recycle and I was in town anyway I stopped in and asked a young male employee (20s) and an elderly male at the desk where I could recycle my laptop. The young guy said PC Solutions doesn't take computers or computer appliances for recycling. Old guy said nothing, just frowned. I asked young guy who does, and he said, "There's a place in Lexington that takes them." I said, "Okay, can I have the name of the place?" He said, "I don't know it." Didn't look anything up for me, acted disinterested. Old guy still didn't say anything.
So I left. As soon as I was back in my car I went to my phone to Google it and found out Taylor County Recycling right here in town with us takes e-scrap of all kinds, including laptops. I did not go back inside to confront them. Not worth my time.
They wasted my time and weren't knowledgeable at all. Why would I go to Lexington when I can go a few minutes across town when Taylor County Recycling is open? (They close at 4:30 and I couldn't stop by this afternoon.) read more
