When I stopped in, I got to meet and pet sweet Elsa, which was the highlight of my day. She's a very calm and friendly good girl. The shop is in North Syracuse on Main Street, near a bunch of other businesses. If you don't know where you're going, you can easily pass it by because the signage sneaks up on you. There's a little lot on the side. When you walk in, you immediately see a case stocked with fancy dog treats. There were some shaped like tacos and cannolis and other adorable things, and many were Easter-themed. I couldn't resist packing up a couple to bring to my family's dog for my Easter visit. The pooch's reaction is to be seen, but I'm sure she'll be stoked. I asked the owners if they made the biscuits in house, but learned their delivered in from a boutique doggie bakery. There's a wide variety of cat and dog supplies here, at various price points. I'm not the sort to splurge on pet food, but if you are there are a lot of organic options. However, there's also a pretty wide and interesting variety for such a small store, and as I mentioned, there's items that fit with various budgets. This is a cute spot, and I think it's nice to support local rather than always buy from the big box pet stores. I'd come back, and I'd certainly send any animal lover this way.

Cages for birds are dirty, to small and no enrichment toys for them. Birds get stressed and do self harm. They need to be happy. Some of the birds are being boarded by customers. A couple struggling to shed due to lack of humidity. No UVB on the poor Bearded Dragons. They looked stressed and one had a sore on the top of its nose. Water bowls were way to small for them to soak and one looks very thin. Tortoise enclosure was dirty and small. Torts should not be housed in and see through enclosure. The large bunny's cage was disgusting and way to small for a small bunny let alone a bunny of that size. A lot of the animals are marked not for sale. Store pets!!! I hope they are not breeding them because the way these poor animals are kept would not produce healthy babies. The over all store was dirty, smelled awful and made me sad for the animals. People think they are saving animals from places like this when they buy them but they are making so they can keep the doors open and buy more animals to sell. Please do not purchase anything from this place. It's just awful!
