The other half you could find new in another appliance store at the same price, if you shopped around. This may not always be true but none of the staff spoke to or acknowledged me to disprove this fact. Perhaps their garish yellow uniforms had caused some sort of irreparable blindness or corneal damage. Two staff members obliviously strolled past while another popped bubble wrap 5 meters from where I puzzled over my purchase. Because I was using the company card, I offered the bubble-popper a chance to up-sell me, taking the cheapest product and the one I was considering to the counter and asking what the difference was. And here again I would like to mention the uniforms. Perhaps it was supposed I had also suffered some sort of temporal blindness from the bright yellow shirts because the staff member obtusely replied "They're different brands". It carried on from there in this manner for some time before I gave up but lets just say that I'm glad I wasn't looking for any helpful service or an appliance bigger than a desk phone.

I couldn't believe the excuses they made when you had to confront them with one or two of them being faulty. I had returned the flat screen back before warranty expires reason being lightning had struck and blew screen and left a crack on it in the middle, they told me its got nothing to do with them, even thou the warranty was valid, 2nd item Vacuum was Electrolux with their words life time guaranteed on all parts except if it was tampered with, bought it back to them it took 2 months to service they used all the excuses under the sun to not replace it, but couldn't cause I kept all my documents so they gave me the updated model Electrolux and said sorry about the inconvenience if you ever have any trouble with this one just bring it in no questions about it and we will exchange it over with another new one, now that was said in 2015. Well blow me down 2017 the vacuum had a malfunction happening, goes and stops and the digital numbers were blinking on and off. I rung them back have a dispute with a Manager called Joel, told him exactly what was told if I had trouble he said to me and I quote: I promise you Mam we will not exchange machines it is still under Electrolux warranty so we will service this and give you a rented one till it comes back. I couldn't believe my ears, argued it through. His answer was Mam I was not the manager then. I said are you guys documenting everything or is it only "He say, she say". I'm tired being an honest customer and have no bad history with Harvey Norman and I get the run around. I been given a hired Vacuum today by a nice lady Frances who was sent out to deal with me instead of Branch Manager who said he was busy on another call, and it doesn't suck up much on a big house which is mainly tile. my main concern was if I had bought it back after the 2 years what would happen then knowing that Electrolux is a life time guaranteed.I'd hate to think. Frustrated customer. I think so. Harvey Norman do not follow through with there promises just after peoples money. Please these items were not under $500, I'm not rich but if I pay good money I will look after them as well as the warranty's it comes with, which they offer. So this is the FRUSTRATION I go through just to be a good abiding citizen to HARVEY NORMAN HENDERSON.

An assistant came over to me straight away and led me to where the Apple stuff was. After rooting around for about 5 minutes, he told me that they had none in stock. He said if it was for the more up to date ipad, they had plenty of them. I thanked him and left, feeling frustated. About a year ago, I needed a case for my kindle - they said they stocked them on the website but when I checked in the shop, they were out of stock. I don't know if I was just unlucky or whether it points to a deeper problem where they are slow at getting new stock in. I must say the staff are quite helpful there and know a bit about technology. It's a good electrical store but I firmly believe JB Hi Fi is the best for this sort of thing.

Jus bought a washing machine from this Henderson store also paid insurance for it - always…read morepreferred them cos of the flybuys anyway, we picked up the washing machine and my son installed it but after the first load we found the water leaked the carpet was wet around the washing machine. I phoned Noel Leeming Henderson where I bought the machine just for someone to come and check if the installation is correct as it cost a lot of money. The lady who answered the phone said she's gonna speak to her boss, came back after five minutes and said I need to come to the store to pay $89 dollars for the technician to come, I said I just bought the machine and installation should be free but she said I need to pay first - I hung up very disappointed. Machine is working well now after getting someone else to look at the machine for free as he didn't do anything but I needed reassurance that the installation is ok.

I left with two: a PS2 console, and an Xbox controller. These were the only things on my list that they had in stock. I mean, it's better than nothing, but these pieces of technology do not work together. It took over a week for them to assemble enough of my required items that I could actually play a game. Unimpressed. The staff were polite enough through the whole saga but didn't seem overly friendly or particularly apologetic about my lack of video game playing equipment. I wouldn't put too much effort in trying to come here again. You know who should make more effort? Whoever delivers their video game consoles.

So I got the vacuum cleaner out in a attempt to present my flat in a 'cleanish' matter, when the bloody thing just up and died on me. Resuscitation attempts were unsuccessful, so I gave it a good kick and begged my boyfriend to drive me to Godfreys New Lynn to replace it. I don't know what I would have done if it weren't for this store. Vacuum cleaners from other stores are inherently expensive and having almost spent the last of my paycheck buying clothes (when will I learn!) I didn't have much hope of finding one in time, and that did the job sufficiently. Somehow I managed to turn up at the tail end of their Easter promotion so things were pretty cheap (note that this store caters to all budgets so they do do expensive vacs too if that is what you are after). I was served by a very helpful guy who pointed me in the right direction and I found one that fit all the requirements for a great price, I was so relieved. The guys here are also happy to answer your questions if you have any issues like a major spill and you don't know what cleaning product will work the best. They stock steam mops and a decent range of carpet shampooers. Knowing my luck with spills, I will probably be back in here sooner rather later!

If so, you probably already spend most of your time in Jaycar so you don't need me to tell you that every Jaycar is a mecca for anyone that likes to make their own electronics, or just muck about with them. They also have a whole lot of electronic devices for people who just want cool things like a mini solar panel for charging an outdoor water pump. The staff are usually pretty helpful, and on occasion have rung around other stores for me to see if they have items in stock if they're not at that store. Unfortunately Jaycar also has a section of "woman's electronics" where everything is pink and glittery. Because, you know, woman only like things if they're pink and glittery. Star off for that.

I would give no stars if I could. Used them two and a half…read moreyears ago to get my macbook screen replaced, took three weeks and they kept stuffing me around the whole time. Said it'd be back soon, then kept changing the story. Went back recently because the screen they replaced has started cutting out when I open the screen too far. Thought it might just be loose, but they said it needs replacing again. Took a week and a half just to hear anything, then they called on the Wednesday and said if I agreed to the repair, I'd have it back Thursday or Friday. Said yes straight away. Called Thursday to check in and now they're saying it won't be ready until next week. Apparently they're waiting on a screen from the warehouse... which is in Auckland, same place my laptop is. How long can it take to move it from one store to the next? They just keep saying whatever they think you want to hear, but none of it actually happens. No one ever seems to know what's going on. They keep saying things like "if it's in stock," like surely they should be able to check? They are forever promising it will be ready tomorrow... 3 weeks later every time! I don't even care if it takes time, just be honest about it. This is the second time I've dealt with them and both times have been a joke. Not using them again.
