Bad business practices they charged me a few hundred dollars to tell me come back in 2 weeks then we can help you? For more money! Bull Pu$5y What a crock these doctors are a joke! They were giving me a tremfya shot every 2 months with hundreds of dollars in hidden fees never explaining the reason for the charges. The staff is just lazy told me to contact my insurance provider and they will explain. I'm glad this is over I wanted to hurt myself everyday I had a death wish I was suicidal and violent i'm glad I didn't hurt anybody or myself, I did not like the shot but knowing this they kept pumping this poison into my body. These doctors care more about their looks than their patients most of their patients are elderly and senile easily taken advantage of clientele.people please they will charge you and take advantage of you to pay for their new building. You're paying for their brand and not quality care. I'll be going somewhere else for now on. read more

I had a great experience at Paz Dermatology. Dr. Paz and Nurse Practitioner Amal were excellent at explaining everything and I am very happy with the results. Friendly staff and a very nice facility. I will certainly return and highly recommend the great care at Paz Dermatology. read more

If your going to the PA in this office I highly recommend if not don't bother!! Stars are for the PA. She was excellent. The physician...not so much. read more

I don't think Dr. paz even merits one star. First of all, he reads the biopsies he administers. So, if he says you need treatments, it may or may not be accurate. I went for a second opinion because he told me I needed to go to his Fresno office everyday for three months. This was the exact treatment he provided to my husband. He was left with a scar. I don't trust Dr. Paz at all. The second dermatologist gave me another biopsy and It didn't show any indication of precancerous as Dr. Paz had said I needed treatment for. I'm fine. I would have been out a lot of money if I would have not gone for a second opinion. I suffered from mental agony after hearing Dr. Paz's diagnosis. I went to him so he could look at something else. Instead, he told me he would be more worried about the side of my nose and recommend he take a biopsy right away! I did. But I never saw any sign of an issue so I was very surprised ( then suspicious) of his recommendation for treatment. Good luck! I can't recommend him at all. I think he's a fraud and should be investigated. read more

Sonia has done an outstanding job of recommending products for a more youthful looking skin. She wrote down a morning and evening regimen for me to follow. And, should I have any questions, she always returns my calls. She is a professional. read more

I generally do not write reviews unless there's something special or concern about. Recently I visited this clinic (PAZ DERMATOLOGY) to see CLARISSA ALVARADO APRN, NRP at 128 N Akers St Visalia CA 93291. I really want to salute everyone working there, especially the front desk folks like Louis, Vanessa, and a couple of others, these are so very professionals, polite and ready to help anyone who walks inside their clinic, with a big smiling face. (I could see them happy and smiling even though they are all geared up with masks.) what a nice experience. Also, I would like to write a couple of lines for CLARISSA ALVARADO, who leaves no stone unturn to treat her patients, she is a very knowledgeable and a very happy person, hilarious, kind and very Professional. I loved every minute spent at this clinic. I feel people living in Visalia, who have any Dermatological conditions to be treated should and MUST visit CLARISSA ALVARADO and this clinic is a real Blessings to VISALIA. To my bad luck I got my car locked out with my cell phone and keys inside to which Vanessa went an extra mile to help me to use their phone and was very patience and calm, till I had received help from AAA. Once again thanks to all those whom I had interacted with during my brief visit and helped me. A real memorable experience. read more

My experience was great with the provider. He couldn't have been better. He was knowledgeable and accommodating. The office staff is the most unprofessional I had to go through hoops to go through hoops to schedule appointments and get scheduling questions answered. My skin issues have resolved with the providers help but it was a nightmare dealing with office staff read more

Do. Not. Go. Here. The staff is unorganized and rude. The NP will not take any time to talk with you or get to know you. I was in for a mole check and she was holding up my arms and gown while I still had new patient paperwork and my phone in my hand. She was SO inconsiderate and uninterested in answering questions. Refused to provide a cream and pushed me to buy $100+ worth of obaji. Staff misplaced my paperwork and didn't know where to direct me up one exiting. Disorganized and rude. read more

I saw Dr. Paz in Nov. 2018. Had some biopsies done. They just called me this month (Aug. 2019) to follow up on the biopsies. I had actually forgotten all about them. Little long to wait for results! I worked for a doctor and was not too impressed with this office staff. Hopefully, our staff was much more friendly and helpful. The person who did finally call me for the results was very nice, though, and apologized for not getting to me sooner. I go tomorrow. What if it is skin cancer? Surely they would have gotten to me sooner if it is cancer??? read more

Love this place! They are very accommodating and got me an appointment very quickly....no waiting for weeks when you have a skin malfunction! I have gone here for years and am always happy with the amount of time they give you. 5 stars read more

When you're having troubles with your skin, you want to feel confident with the people you turn to for help. Rude staff, it was a "just give me your money and you'll be called when we call you" type of experience. I was in the exam room and only spoke with a nurse, not the doc. I was showing her my concerns, asking questions, and it was fairly frustrating talking with that nurse because she didn't answer my questions and kept going in circles, it felt like I knew more about acne than a certified nurse. When it came trying to get my prescription, their receptionists were rude, useless, and transferred my calls in circles every single time. A month later and still no prescription. Don't waste your time with this place, find a dermatologist that cares for their patients' well-being, not their wallets. read more

I've been to this office on numerous occasions for various procedures. Both Gabe and Dr. PAZ are very easy to talk to. They really helped me understand what to expect, I felt very comfortable. I have ABSOLUTELY no complaints. I could not be happier with my experience with the entire office staff. They are all extremely friendly and professional I am highly satisfied with results of my procedures and I knew I would be because I liked and trusted them. read more

I went to Paz Dermatology for a suspicious spot on my lower leg. The PA Gabriel checked it out and completed a biopsy. He was very personable and knowledgeable. The office was very clean and the staff friendly. I am going back for follow up and treatment. I recommend Paz Dermatology. read more

Amazing....everything was absolutely amazing! Check in was quick and friendly, and Clarissa was extremely caring and knowledgeable for my chief complaint. Nobody wants to have a reason to go to a medical office, but when I do, I will definitely go back to Paz! read more

This place is awesome. You get treated right every time. I have been going for years now and I have not had one bad experience. This is the best valued dermatologist in town. Must give them a try if you are looking. read more

This was my first visit to a dermatologist and it was a wonderful experience. I will definitely be returning in the future. The staff in the front office were very kind and I did not have to wait long to be helped. I saw PA. Gabriel Zapata who was extremely knowledgeable and patient in addressing all of my concerns about my skin. I came with a list of questions and he addressed all of them and provided great suggestions. read more

Staff is friendly and appointments are prompt. My biggest reservation is multiple experiences I've had in getting a call back when I leave a message. I have also had trouble talking to someone when it comes to filling a prescription and coordinating with the pharmacy. Patient care practices are good but their follow up is lacking and leaves much to be desired. read more

I see P.A. Zapata and he has been very helpful in this whole debacle my skin has me in right now. He listened to what I wanted to achieve with my skin. I appreciate his attentiveness with my skin worries because I've been to another dermatologist in Visalia and he was so rude. I walked out and never came back. If your customer service is crap then I'm not going back. Period. But here with Dr. Paz and P.A. Zapata I feel welcomed and heard. I can see improvement in my skin and this is all thanks to Zapata! Go here if you want to make serious positive changes to you skin!! I highly recommend them! :) read more

I was referred to this practice for a suspicious skin condition on my nose. I have past history of skin cancer and had to insist on the advanced practice provider doing a biopsy. I waited 6 weeks for my follow up and liquid nitrogen was applied. The pathology result was ready days after the biopsy. I was out two co-pays for my office visits, waited a combined 1.5 hours to be seen, and learned from pathology report that not enough skin was submitted as an adequate sample. I'll self-refer elsewhere and strongly encourage others to do the same. Poor service all around. read more

Went in for a procedure. Dr. Paz was very professional. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the other staff members. I waited in the room and heard staff members weighing themselves, laughing and joking. It just had a very unprofessional vibe. For this type of a service you would hope for a different level of service. Dr. Paz some of your staff members are not a very good representation of you practice. read more

I've always wanted to get my lips done, but was too scared Clarissa highly recommended it and I went for it! She made it the best experience EVER! I LOVE them so much! Clarissa said, next up "Botox" got to admit I was nervous as heck, but Clarissa took great care of me while making me look younger by the minute...Can't wait for what Clarissa has in store for me next time. Thank you so much Clari love our appointments and the royal treatment . read more

I had a mohs procedure with Dr Paz and it has been a great through the whole process, and there is hardly even a scar. I had been going to Dr Billy's for a few years and she's great. However, it's very unfortunate what poor "support" staff choices were brought in under the new ownership. EXTREMELY rude front desk service. Unbelievably rude to the point that I will not be returning here. Made me feel like I was an issue because I needed basic customer service. To make matters worse the girl gave extreme attitude and right in front of me and rudely handed off my paperwork to the person next to her. No acknowledgement to me as a " so and so will be able to help you with this" she even made her co-worker look uncomfortable about the situation. Then come a few week later I call trying to get clarification on my invoice only to receive some more attitude from the billing department as well. RIDICULOUSLY sad how these people act. read more

I was worried going into my appointment about a spot on my ear but Dr. Gabriel put me at ease. Thank you Dr.

Do not go here, check out all the other bad reviews. So I went here 3 times for a 6 months plan. Each visit the doctor saw me for 5 mins or less. The first visit took longer since they needed more info, but after that I was in and out faster than it took me to park. You would think my second visit they would at least check my progress, but no they just want your money. Upon my first visit, I got a quote over the phone. Once getting to the office, they told me it's going to be $20 dollars more. Ok no big deal, after visiting 3 times and paying every time before I leave, I decided not to go there anymore. Now I'm getting a bill of over $60! And they said they already sent it to collections! Again, I paid every time before leaving my 5 min appointments. Only after I decided not to go anymore, I'm getting an extra bill, ridiculous! They are saying the extra bill has to do with insurance, I gave them my insurance the very first day. Scandalous office! read more

I would definitely recommend Dr. Paz to my family and friends! read more

1st time visit I was seen my a PA Instead of the Dr. The assistant who took me to the room was nice and pleasant. My appointment was for a mole on my face and to check a strange mole on my stomach. The assistant told me to change into a paper gown. I thought that was odd because I could just unzip my pants to show the mole on my stomach and there was no need to strip down to the paper gown. It was cold in the office so I didnt want to sit there and be cold. I asked if I could leave my sweater on and just take off my pants. She agreed but I could tell she didnt like the idea. When the PA Came inthe room explained that the 1st visit they like to check the whole body for skin cancer. Which now explained to me why the assistant tried to get me to strip down to the paper gown. I didn't like who that took place because I went to have 2 miles looked at and now have a full body examination. It felt a little odd because if I would have changed into the full gown as originally asked I feel I would have had an examination and been charged for that. That may be the normal procedure they do there but it was just odd to me. The PA was very considerate and made me feel very comfortable. I will definitely be going back to her again. read more

I've had a skin problem for sometime. I finally get an appointment with a dermatologist office. And from the get go I felt as though I was just another number. The PA who saw me was dismissive. Gave me medications that were over the counter. I already tried all these avenues before seeing a dermatologist. I got better treatment from my primary than here. My primary sent me here because he was concerned about my skin issue. Very disappointed and will not be going back. read more

This office is awesome, they have the latest technology, friendly staff, and are very helpful! Dr. Paz now has several new P.A's that are fantastic! I saw Gabriel, and he took time to explain the treatment options to me, and gave me further information to review at home. I appreciated him being so attentive and caring about a problem that I have been dealing with for many years and have seen other dermatologists for without any long term results. I highly recommend this office! read more

Vivian, who I believe is Dr. Paz's wife, corrected some wrongs (staff / business structure specific) and wanted to make sure I was taken care of - which I really appreciate. Dr. Paz was informative and has a theory which is more than I can say for any of the many other doctors I have seen for my skin condition. read more

I have never met Dr. Paz, but my husband Dave has because of skin cancer. He had 3 Mohs surgeries which are no walk in the park. At first I freaked because of how terrible it looked. He is not 'just' a dermatologist, but also a plastic surgeon. His face is healing better than I could have ever imagined considering how it first appeared. Over the eyebrow the scar is barely noticeable. The other from the corner of eye back to ear; amazing. The last next to other ear (took 3 slices) about 2ish" long looking good after removal of stitches today. Also, the staff are simply the best so nice and accommodating. Squeezed us in before end of year in order to help us because of insurance. Dr. Paz himself, according to Dave is self-assured, and not arrogant in a bad way but a good way! Meaning his confidence exudes excellence! What's wrong with knowing you're the best? Nothing at all! We feel so fortunate to have been referred to him through another great dermatologist (Dr. Koch). 5 stars is not enough for Dr. Carlos Paz! Be assured you're in good hands with him. Obviously impressed and will tell everyone we can. He works in Fresno and Visalia. read more
