I contacted this company as I had a complaint about a law violation at one of their stores. I am not from Hoosierland and don't care to know anything about this burg, which includes Payless liquors. I was upset enough about the scam tactic at one of their locations, so I decided to contact the main location.
Well I did get my answer as to why the location on the NW side did operate so poorly and scammy - because of the ownership. Upon contacting the main location, the owners daughter (didn't know this at the time) answered the phone with an annoying, curt manner. She immediately stated that she had to place me on hold because another call was incoming, yet I hadnt even stated my business; so, yes, that makes no sense. Then, a second later, she stated that they must have hung up and proceeded with me, amazing. I then asked if the stores are independently owned and operated, to which this imbecile replied, "I can't tell you that, we don't give out personal information." As incredibly ignorant as her response was, this seems to be the norm in Hoosierland. I'll offer that she still doesn't comprehend the stupidity of her statement. I stated that her reply had nothing to do with my question, she responded in an even brasher tone, shouting, attempting to avoid me in an immature approach. I then requested a manager stating that she wasn't smart enough to jockey her receptionist position - she transferred me immediately to the owner, Charlie (her Dad, yet I didn't know that at this point).
So, first, I need to complain about her, and I did, stating that she was incredibly ignorant, and her reply was such that she shouldn't be answering phones nor be interacting with anyone. I questioned her absurd response.....to which he replied in an unmistakable, slow, rasping manner..."well, you want to hear another stupid answer, why dont you kiss my ass". Yes, this hilljack actually had no retort other than to insult a customer because he did such a piss-poor job as a parent.
The response would typically get a resounding applause from Hoosiers, thinking that is the best answer because they are so unevolved here, just a step above homo-erectus, and consequently too ignorant to know any better. They don't realize the uncivilized style of their behavior.
So, as this grossly uneducated coward behaves in such an unprofessional manner is why his stores attempt to scam people, place incorrect prices (more than double) on items, refuse to issue refunds unless you come back the next day (yes, they don't see the wrong in inconveniencing people), have idiots managing their stores, have a dingbat answering phones, and have two other dingbat women working as area managers. I later discovered information through a few calls. I found his picture online, and yes, he is fat, the daughter very unattractive in a Bostonian manner, and no doubt the obese coward wouldn't have spoken to me like that face to face - I'm a real man that didn't do a pathetic job as a father. The purpose of my call to Payless Liquors was to see if they cared to do something about the incident I had at one of their stores, and they don't, which is why that type of dishonest behavior occurs.
The problem is Indiana, in this hilljack state this type of behavior passes as normal, Payless liquors does well; if this were a real state, or just about any other state, this wouldn't occur. I couldn't even seek remedy with the Attorney General because nothing would happen. This type of behavior wouldn't belong nor be tolerated in a civilized state, nearly any other state. This type of behavior is why other countries still laugh at the US, its embarrassing. I once contacted the Department of Public Health because a woman had her dog licking produce in a Wal-mart store and nothing was done even though Wal-mart admitted to the incident, Wal-mart persisted that I leave the store. Many businesses here in Indiana would never exist elsewhere because of their practices, some are deliberate, some because they are just too stupid to know any better about decency, ethics, and common business practices, nor the law. Payless liquors is a perfect example as how poor an operation can be that thrives in this pathetic state, yet would be out of business anywhere else. I finally get to leave in a few months - thank the Lord. read more
