    I have been using this place for over 3 and a half years, and not usually under the best…read morecircumstances. One doesn't use a payday loan service if they're financially sound at the time. I have always had a positive experience more or less, and they have always been kind and considerate whenever I was in there. What follows is my latest experience here, and most certainly my last. I arrived with 10 mins until closing, with all of the documents that they told me I needed when I spoke to them about 2 hours prior to getting there. As soon as I walked in, I was told that i was probably gonna have to come back tomorrow, because she had to leave at 6, even though their policy has always been that as long as you were there before closing, they would help you. I was even told that earlier in the day when I called. Then she said that I needed all of my documents, because I wasn't holding any in my hands. I told her that I had them all ready to email to them, which I had always done before. She then said that the email hadn't been working, so she probably wouldn't get them anyways, and I was going to have to come back tomorrow. I emailed her everything and she acknowledged that she got them, but I still had to fill out the application again, because I hadn't been there in so long. So i filled out the application, and again, said that she had to leave. I explained that I wouldn't have driven down there, and be willing to pay the $55 fee to borrow $250 for 3 days, if I didn't really need it. So, she looked at the computer and her final denial came in the form of telling me that my account was overdrawn, and they couldnt help me, and blamed it on the "system". For one, they never denied me thier services because my account was overdrawn. 2, I had no idea that my account was overdrawn, and when I went outside to check my account balance, it WASNT overdrawn, and it dawned on me that there was no way she could have had access to my account anyways, she just said that as a last stitched effort to get me to leave. I was pretty upset and said some things that were out of character, and for that IM SORRY, but Im even more sorry that I came to this location, and will never go there again because of one lazy employee. No one likes having to humble themselves into going to these places, and to be treated like that only makes a person feel lower than they already do. There is no doubt in my mind that she would not have acted that way if her boss was there, but she'll probably have a completely different story if she's even questions about this review at all, and its doub tful that any management will even respond to myreview. But I wholeheartedly urge people to avoid place that employs people who are so rude and lazy.

The 1st time I borrowed I was told it would automatically be deducted from my bank account. 2 days passed and nothing. I call and them and they say "it is courtesy to get the okay from our customers first before we go ahead and charge the bank". Fine. 2nd time I only get 1 week to pay the loan, and unfortunately I am unable to make the payment, and I was unable to answer my phone because I am at work. I decide I will go in person the next day to extend my loan to the next pay period and I am okay if I am a charged a fee since this was my fault and I am unable to pay when I said I would. I call them and the "manager" says it has been posted to my bank since I did not answer the phone and they called me twice. Based on my first encounter and how I was told that it was "courtesy to call our customers first to get the okay before we charge", I assumed everything was going to be fine. Unfortunately I was at work and could not answer the phone, their website says they close at 6, I called before 6 and there was no answer or way to leave a voicemail. I understand this is my fault, my responsibility, however, I am paying a $50 fee for borrowing $250 so it's not really a favor, I am paying for this loan and your services. The way the "manager" spoke to me after I told him I would put a hold on the payment with my bank was so condescending. One, he spoke to me like I was a child, and 2, he made it seem like it was more of a "favor" and how they "don't charge fees" and how they aren't like "money tree who charges at 1pm" (they don't by the way they charge by 5pm if you don't call and if you call, you get a free 2 week extension) it just overall sucked! It was my fault for borrowing from such a low end place and I hate that I was ever in the position to have to borrow from such a cheap "checks cashed" loan place. I 100% recommend Money Tree over this and I mean it when I say stay away, trust me you will regret it. The so called "manager" threatened with my credit, and continued to say that this was all my fault, and did not offer a way to settle this misunderstanding which begins with the first time I borrowed when he said it was courtesy to get "the okay from our customers before we charge". I was acting based on what I was told the first time, I am not a child, be consistent with what you say and advertise. I hate that I am leaving a bad impression on the person who recommended me, and I hate more that I am leaving a bad impression at this place as well because I do have a career, I pay my bills, times fell hard and I had to borrow from this place and I regret it so much! Definitely going with money tree next time!

    Everytime I go into this branch, which is closest to my home ( 2 blocks away) there is always a…read moreline and the people who greet you with customer service issues at front desk dokt seem to want to help you. the Asian woman who used to work there and help me set up my account was super nice but the men they have working up front seem to not want to work there. They treat everyone like a bother. I don't understand how you can work in customer service role and the ln treat customers poorly. They don't ever ask you want your issue is, and instead say "check-in." So like usual I got in my car, drove 4 miles to Mission Valley branch and they all smiled and said "hello how are you" and actually made eye contact with me. They answered my question in less than 2 minutes. I don't know what the issue is but maybe have whomever does customer service training at Mission Valley branch go train the guys at the Marlborough/El Cajon branch. I don't like to complain but I've worked in sales abs customer service my entire career and it makes no sense I should have to drive miles away to get decent customer service instead waking to the branch thats a walk from my home

    Yvonne and Alex were amazing. I don't understand why there are so many negative reviews for this…read morelocation. When I went in Alex was extremely helpful and patient with my request. Not only did he accommodate me as a pregnant woman, he also treated me with upmost respect. This location was well put together, very organized and clean. There is not a public restroom, but besides that, everything seems to run very smoothly inside of that bank. Yvonne is Alex's manager and she was very helpful with the questions that we needed answered and she had friendly conversation and seemed to really care about me being at their location. I felt at ease, and I would go visit this location anytime, for any needs that I need through Citibank. I left with a smile on my face, and I hope that I made their day as well. Great people!

    I was in the bank about 4:40pm to renew my CD. There were 3 tellers, teller no1 was helping one…read morecustomer. The other two standing by the teller No1 and chatting . I was the only one waiting on the line, but the other two tellers completely ignored me. Three minutes later teller no2 left, teller no.3 went back to his station. I had to cleared my throat making a little noise : hello I am here! Then teller no3, name Majd Kaka, said 'how can I help you". I told him, I wanted to renew my CD to 11 month term. He did not try to help. He suggested to withdraw the current then come back tomorrow because not enough time today for open new CD. I told him, the other location told me that I do not have come to bank to renew, but only the phone call authorization. Majd Kaka firmly said "then you call that Citibank location. I stepped out, got in my car, called Citibank in Mission Valley 5 minutes before it closed and able to renew my CD without any hassle. I hope Citibank would review customer feedback how this branch performance. This drive people away.
