My sister informed me that Blizzard Beach (Florida) was recently closed due to an outbreak of ECOLI in the children after brought in ice. I didn't know that was even a thing ( kids catching ECOLI ) from ice. Things are changing everywhere now. What I'd love to see more of, though, is a bit more kid-friendly options for those with little ones. We do enjoy the small green lawn near the fountain! There was no better place than this for whatever it was I was trying to find. Made a stop at Dillards: found stuff there. And I should have been done already, but also went to Macy's and found even more stuff there. The choices seemed endless, but with a tight schedule, I was really limited to where I can go and what to do. But at least I found what I needed. One can kill time just by being here. It could take a whole day and some to get to see everything. Kinda jealous we don't have something like this closer to home! Good to know the convenience is here should I find the need once more.

The Richardson Public Library has been a staple in my life almost all of my life. I remember…read morecoming to here to research papers I was writing all the way back to my young school days. While the library is all the things a library should be and you would think it would be, the Richardson Public Library is SO much more... For example this past weekend they held "Eggstravaganza" which was essentially fun, games, and of course, an Easter egg hunt, for the kids. They also hold Mah Jongg lessons and host a Mah Jongg League, host computer classes, AI lessons, teach Excel, host job clinics, as well as several other events (check out my photo of the current and upcoming events calendar). These activities have been a great way for me to not only support them, but also re-connect with the community. The library is SO good in fact, last week they won the Achievement of Excellence in Libraries Award from the Texas Municipal Library Directors Association. Wgat's more is that this is their 20th year in a row of winning this honor...Congratulations Richardson Public Library and thank you to all the staff and volunteers for doing what you all do!!!

He looked nervous when I went to the other side of the car where it was scratched and opened the door AGAIN to let me in. It was getting dark so I didn't notice the scratch until the next day. No wonder they have so many bad reviews.
