Terrible private community college. Mainly because it doesn't have any good professor's at all whatsoever. Dcccd Richland campus including all other Dcccd campus's are a extremely and incredibly more purposeful places to get a TRUE education!!!

I have so many wonderful memories of Collin College. Does EVERY school have 1 million complaints about Advisors, cost, scheduling, communication, offerings, campus size - yes. At the end of the day, a great institution that is designated as a Community College should be measured on accreditation, credit transfer ability, and most importantly, how well you are prepared for the university level. Keep in mind, the biggest piece of that puzzle is YOU, but a great Community College will give you a roadmap, and some skills to take with you. I went in with my eyes set on Broadcast Journalism, and exited with a career plan to do Social Work. This was the product or counseling, career planning and preparation, invested instructors and an expanded worldview - all of which I obtained at Collin, and at a great price, all things considered. Today, I am that Licensed Master Social Worker working in Criminology that Collin sent me out to be. For that, I am grateful. Each year I have the pleasure of attending the North Texas Facing Family Violence Conference, and it alwats provides the opportunity to revisit a venue that holds so many of my greatest memories of being a college student, and some Professors that shaped my career indelibly. At various points in my life I attended Dallas County Colleges, Trinity Valley Community College and Tarrant County College, but none were as enjoyable for me as Collin.

After graduating, I secured a new grad position, but unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances, I couldn't continue in that role. As many know, leaving a new grad position can make finding another job very challenging. Celeste was incredibly supportive during that difficult time. She not only helped me navigate the job search process, but also guided me on how to improve my interview skills and build my confidence. With her help, I was able to secure 4 interviews and ultimately land a new position with better pay than my previous role. I'm truly grateful for her dedication and support she made a real difference in my career journey. Thank you, Celeste

I don't know how they expect students that work eight hour shifts during the day to turn right around a couple of hours later and go to clinicals from 6 PM to 5 AM, only to have to turn right back around and go to work that same morning. This school has become nothing but my biggest depression trigger. STAY AWAY FROM WCU!

Our son earned a full academic scholarship straight out of high school and is a 2021 Graduate…read more He completed the JSOM Program, Collegium V Honors, a BA in Cyber Security. UTD was a good fit for him, he enjoyed the campus, and felt he got adequate support from his professors when it came to learning, study abroad opportunities, and internships. He commuted from home but would have loved to live on campus (we simply couldn't afford it). He would have been more aggressive about living on campus if there were more activities/ events to attend but UTD is not that kind of campus. They have a little bit going on ...  but nothing like UNT, TAMU, or Baylor. He did one study abroad trip to Finland. He made many friends, had a few awesome adventures, learned a lot more about this industry. It was life-changing for him. We are so grateful that he had that experience because once COVID19 was here the program was shut down.  COVID19 changed colleges nationwide and until the pandemic is under control, college life is not going to be the experience it should be. The key that opened doors for our son was internships.  Four internships landed our son a FT job this past March 2021 ... before he finished his finals at UTD. #ProudParents Goodbye JSOM at UTD! Thank you.
