We're all quite familiar with many of the upsetting aspects of our planet, I prefer to leave them at the door while hoping to relax and restore my faculties. Swearing, phone use and reading mystical sayings from a laptop during a facilitation were things I have not experienced before from a teacher and I do not prefer them. Tiaga Prem barely moved himself as he dictated our movements, the dismissive 'and keep doing that for a bit,' before picking up his phone again There were times when music was being chosen and changed, I understand, perhaps even time checking, but I think we can all identify at this point what it looks like when someone is reading an email, an article, text message or fb post vs. quickly checking the time or swiping and changing a song. This inattention did not have me feeling safe to enter a vulnerable, meditative state during this class and I will not return. A person gets much better guidance from a free youtube video.

I came for the…read morerestorative class on Sunday evenings initially as I was looking for a class that would balance the cardio and intense workouts in my routine. I then tried the kundalini class, which was different (in a good way) from the other kundalini classes that I've taken. There is a focus on breathing and the power of the breath that I hadn't experienced with my other classes. I just tried a Dharma class and it was intense in ways that I didn't expect from a Hatha class. The teachers are wonderful and it's a great way for me to get out of my head by being in class. There is chanting and for me, this is a different way for me to express myself and release. Thank you for a great experience!

I found this place by accident when I was so much of pain on my back and neck and sleep disorder…read morefor 8 years and deep anxiety and depression. Adding to that I had relationship problems with family and friends and etc. I didn't know much about meditation but this place was the last place I could try after attempting many things to cure myself like having counseling or archipuncture or etc. Now I don't need to see any of those. I can sleep now and feel very energetic and life has been so much better for me. If you have any of problem I had, I strongly recommend to visit this very caring like family place. You are guaranteed to feel so warm inside and outside.

Soraya offers Gong Baths Mondays and Wednesdays ~ she's a terrific teacher and gong master ~ her classes are packed full of 20+ gong bath attendees! Her gong baths are only $10 which is incredibly cheap ~ and people are lying on the floor all the way to the back of the studio ~ these classes are always full for many good reasons. I feel so amazing every time I leave here and have had friends thank me for introducing them to this Society. I found this space, and organisation through Meetup, and I'm very glad I did! You cannot beat the quality of people teaching, the quality of classes, and the incredibly good value for money with Bridge and Enrich. Definitely, check them out if you are looking for yoga or any type of personal growth class- they offer so much here, and are so caring as a whole.

My first experience of the space was via Jacky Yenga doing an African 'spirit of the village' themed night with drumming dance song and a beautiful home cooked buffet given that the space is shoe removal required was very glad for the communal slippers available at the front door which we trust are laundered regularly. Membership is required for rentals.

So, I thought I needed a bit of review and went here. They have free instruction on Wednesdays at 7, and also you can come in and meditate on your own Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I suppose it all depends on the teacher and how much time you have available. There wasn't much time and although the teacher did his best, it did not quite cut it for me. There were too many people, it was too loud, and, frankly, their greeter freaked me out a bit. But then again, you can only expect that much from a location in the middle of the city, and if you've only got an hour to spare on a weekday night.

They offer an eclectic range of classes from guided meditation to creative hatha. The centre runs entirely on donations so be generous! Mondays with Sherri Kajiwara are my favourite.

Wow! First time at space & soul and was blown away by the facilities, amenities and instruction…read more Gorgeous space walking in, loved the lounge space and then the spacious lockers, change rooms and showers. I got to see the space upstairs and loved the bright light, big windows and open space with plants. Went back downstairs for the yoga and sound bath experience and loved that space too! So intimate with ambiant lighting and all the props. The yoga flow was great. And then the sound bath - so relaxing with some essential oils and blanket. Can't wait to come back.

I love how mats, blocks, etc are all provided and the amenities are also great - showers are always cleaned and stocked. They also have tea on sight. The upstairs yoga studio is absolutely beautiful with floor to ceiling glass windows and lets alot of light in. The classes are a hit or miss for me - I'd say some classes are really good and usually full (empower flow and yogalates) while some of the other classes are not as enjoyable and a bit slow. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. I reccomend popping in during their $15 Happy hour class deals, since they will no longer be on Classpass in May.

The lounge area provides a nice environment for pre/post training discussions. You could spend all day here cause it doesn't feel like a gym. Central location and nearby free parking, which is always a plus. You get so much value as a member. The instruction is top notch. You quickly develop real practical skills and are challenged in the best of ways. The community is welcoming, supportive and fun to train with. I'd come everyday if I could. Highly recommend!

The owner and main instructor Jesse Blue is ask excellent teacher who instructs JKD, Kali Eskrima and has many male and female students. On Sundays, Adam Chan teaches practical Wing Chun and he is one of the best teachers of martial arts that I've ever met in 25 years. Vancouver is lucky to have such a beautiful martial arts school right in the center of the city!
