If I could give more than five stars, I absolutely would. We…read morerecently adopted our puppy from this rescue, and I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience. From our very first phone call with Candace, and throughout the entire adoption process with the help of volunteers Judi and Carol, it was obvious that this isn't just something they do--it's their passion, and it shows in every aspect of the rescue. I've seen some reviews saying they ask "too many questions," but after going through the adoption process myself, I couldn't disagree more. Every question has a purpose. They're not trying to make the process difficult or invasive--they're making sure every dog is going to the right home, and that every family is being matched with the right dog for their lifestyle. That's exactly how a responsible rescue should operate. These dogs deserve nothing less, and as adopters, we appreciated knowing they cared just as much about our family's fit as they did about the dog's future. The love, dedication, and compassion these women have for every single animal is impossible to miss. They know each dog's personality, temperament, and needs because they genuinely invest their hearts into every one of them. Their goal isn't simply to adopt dogs out--it's to create lifelong, successful matches where both the dogs and their new families will thrive. One of the first things we noticed was how incredibly well cared for every dog was. These dogs are from TN and we are from NY, and the transportation was clean, organized, and thoughtfully maintained, but what stood out most was the condition of the dogs themselves. Their living spaces were spotless, they looked healthy, happy, and comfortable, and it was obvious they receive exceptional care every single day. You can tell these dogs aren't just being housed while they wait for homes--they're being loved, nurtured, and treated like family. Seeing that level of care gave us so much confidence and made us feel even more certain we had found the right rescue. Throughout the entire process, Candace, Judi, and Carol were professional, patient, honest, and incredibly kind. They took the time to answer every question we had, never made us feel rushed, and made us feel genuinely supported from beginning to end. They are so easy to talk to, and their warmth and enthusiasm make the entire experience even more special. You can tell they aren't just happy to help--they truly love what they do, and that passion shines through in every interaction. Adopting a dog is a lifelong commitment, and this rescue treats it with the seriousness and care it deserves. They aren't just placing dogs in homes--they're changing lives, both for the animals they save and for the families lucky enough to welcome them home. We are beyond grateful to have found our newest family member through this rescue. Thank you, Candace, Judi, and Carol, for everything you do. Your compassion, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to these incredible dogs make all the difference. If you're considering adopting, don't let a thorough application process discourage you. After experiencing it firsthand, you'll realize those questions come from a place of love and responsibility. This rescue sets the standard for what animal rescue should be, and we would recommend them to anyone without hesitation.

It makes perfect sense that my 1,100th review is one dedicated to my Pup and his daycare…read moreadventures! This Pet Resorts of America sits on Charlotte Pike in West Nashville and is perched up on a hill overlooking the busy street below. The dogs have to love this view when they are playing outdoors...so many cars to bark at! We usually take our little dude, Tucker, to day care twice per week, so for us it was more cost effective to buy in bulk. We purchased a set of 10 visits and the staff are good at keeping up with renewal times so he never goes without his play days. This location has two sides/buildings...one for grooming and the other for daycare. They are connected, but have different entry and pick up points/times. We have utilized their grooming services, but for us it is a little too expensive for the low maintenance coat that our pup has. So, we now take him to the nearby Petco every few weeks at a discounted price comparatively. For daycare, the price is decent, and becomes better with package pricing. Tucker loves his day care friends and family, and they love him! Even if we are gone for a few weeks, when he walks in they immediately greet him by name and rush him back to the play areas. We also have special food we feed him that requires refrigeration. They made sure to ask if he likes it heated or cold. Heated of course because he is spoiled, but he will eat it either way...and it was nice that they asked! Overall, we really enjoy Pet Resorts for our little dudes day care shenanigans!

Here is a review of boarding dogs insPet Resorts of America in Nashville after some reflection…read more Make sure you differentiate between reviews of day care vs boarding when you read the reviews. To be fair, I will discuss both the positives and negatives. Positives: This business offers an option to board your dogs in the Nashville area that has, at least, a little bit of exposure to the outdoors. There are not many options close to the city. The most positive aspect of the kennel is the quality and friendliness of the staff. Negatives: I think this business is overshadowed by thinly veiled deception. The pictures on the site show dogs swimming in pools or playing in outdoor spaces. One needs to dig to discover that this kennel only guarantees to put your dog in a kennel with two undefined "walks" a day. To have your pet play with other dogs or swim in the pool, you must pay for each experience per day. Be sure to take a walk in the facility before committing your dog to stay there. A walk in the compound will reveal countless unhappy dogs barking at you for attention. This reminds me of visits to maximum security prisons. I dropped my dogs off and they were quickly overheated. This was on a Thursday. On Friday, I wanted an update of their health and a picture of them in the pool or play area. There was no response. If you check the kennel hours and times for staff response, they are highly restricted. The prices for putting your dog in a hot kennel with minimal interaction is $69 per day, per my experience as the base line price. I find this overpriced. Then they charge additional fees for things like playing with other dogs. I found this practice to be deceptive and insulting. I will never return to this facility. I can only thank the kind staff who work in a deceptive, potentially harmful, business model. Pet Resorts of America Nashville should be ashamed to be a business. You have the opportunity to do much better.
